We are from out of town. This is the highest rated boba place around here, so we decided to try it. The teas are just ok. We found the boba to be flavorless and they don't give you enough boba to get through the entire cup. You'll be drinking just tea for the last half of your drink. Just stopped here and first things first....Location! This cute tiny little green food truck is at the corner of Fremont and Abrego just behind the Exxon station. If you get to the Great Wall, you've gone too far. If you blink you will miss it. We ordered a matcha green latte and a matcha black latte (we like matcha) and I ordered a pink unicorn ice cream as well, but I was told they didn't currently have it. I made the biggest sad face! :( The employee was nice and tried to suggest some other options but I am picky and nothing else was tempting me. As other reviews have stated, it's only one person working, but when we arrived, there was no line and no other people. It took about 15 minutes to get our two drinks and although I couldn't see, I never heard a mixer or blender, but what sounded like someone actually shaking and mixing the drink by hand. Hard work! The employee poured a tiny bit into a small cup and made sure to give us a taste before sealing the top to make sure that we were good with the sweetness level and flavor. I never had any place do that before and I think it's great customer service! After a few drinks I did start to get like a powdery build up on my tongue from the drink but it was still really good and you can't beat the price. They also offer food but we had just eaten. We already have plans to come back tomorrow to support this small business and I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

We ordered 2 classic black milk teas with boba and it was not made with fresh milk like it suggested on the menu. It was made with powder which was not ideal. The boba was okay and the tea tasted like milk. We discovered chunks of strawberry inside both of our drinks which we did not ask for. It seems like the utensils used to prepare our drinks were not properly cleaned before scooping the boba. We would not come here again to avoid being "surprised" by toppings we did not ask for. read more

I was craving boba and ended up getting a vitamin water at the gas station ,then out of nowhere I noticed these guys parked on the side! Keep your eyes peeled for this green trailer! I ordered the butter chicken wrap and it was gooood. Definitely full of herbal butter flavor. Maybe could have used veggies like greens or something but that's just my preference. I drove around the area a few times before I actually found the boba truck. For anyone who has the same issue, it's behind the gas station! The boba was decent not my absolute favorite but the customer service was amazing and I would come back just for that. I put in an order for a passion fruit green tea and was given a tasting to make sure that the flavor and sweetness were to my liking before he poured it into my cup. I thought this was a very kind gesture. I noticed the owner (maybe just an employee) knew one of the customers by name and asked why her partner hadn't come with her. Terrible. My partner and I went to Bobalicious and Bites with high hopes due to the promising reviews, but we were met with grainy, powdery, and inedible boba. To even call this boba is a disgrace. It took well over 15 minutes to receive only 2 cups of boba and the store was practically empty. Full disclosure and background: I'm not a big boba fan, but I don't dislike it. I think it usually just tastes too much like artificial flavoring. But my daughter loves it so we usually find a spot and I get a taste. Ok, jumping to the conclusion: I wish I'd ordered my own boba because it was soooo good! Each one is made by hand (you can hear the hand-mixing happening in the back). He gave us a taste of the drink before pouring it into the cup to be sure it was what we wanted. I got to take the taste and that's when I realized I should have ordered my own. You know when you go to a place where you can tell they take pride in what they're offering their customers? Best boba in town imo. Yes, there's a wait. He makes them from scratch one at a time and it's just him. There was only one person ahead of us, thankfully. We weren't in a hurry and didn't time it or anything The boba was super soft and tender. I got the taro boba for my wife and the tiger milk boba for myself. They'll let you taste to make sure the sugar level and everything is okay and if there's extra they'll pour it into a cup for you to have. It's hard to find, behind the Exxon next to Denny's. It's a tiny portable lol. But A for effort. They make the drinks fresh and I really like that they offer samples. we came here while in monterey since tzone was closed due to a leak. bobalicious & bites is a food/drink truck located in the back of the gas station. reviews seemed promising but i am really surprised by how different our experience was... // service // there was only one guy working the truck (taking orders, making drinks, cooking food) so i empathize that it's a lot to handle. he was very nice, but we ended up waiting around 15 minutes to order (since he was cooking a previous order) and then 20 minutes for our drinks. // menu // good variety on menu, you have the option for milk or non dairy creamer too. something i thought was pretty disappointing is that he charged us way higher than the menu on the truck. menu says drinks are 3.99 each and we got charged 5.00 each. if prices have been updated, your menu should reflect that too. // drinks // my main issue was with the drinks. they were out of boba as well so we got lychee jelly. QUEEN BEE - black milk tea with honey we were unable to change the sweetness on this. this drink tasted like pure sugar water with some milk. i could not make out any taste of black tea whatsoever. i was considering not finishing it but felt bad for spending $5 on it. it also made my stomach really hurt after. MANGO MILK TEA my brother got the mango milk tea. also, incredibly too sweet. mango flavor tasted very artificial. he also could not finish it. all in all, i gave 2 stars just because i feel bad for the guy who was running all of the orders. but seriously, the drinks themselves were nowhere near up to par with any other milk tea place in the bay area. they taste most similar to tpumps, which i dislike since it just tastes like artificial syrups--so maybe if you like tpumps you would like the drinks here, but otherwise i'd pass. the drinks + waiting 30 minutes + being upcharged from the menu price are all reasons why i would not come here again. read more

Delicious boba! The pearls are super soft & fresh-not the most flavorful I've had, but great texture. Tiger Milk tea was yummy and not overly sweet. Queen Bee was good too! I have had boba all over the world, have been to hundreds of shops. This may be the best experience I have had. The owner is incredibly nice, clearly cares about the customer, the quality of the boba, the quality of the tea and the overall experience. The tea seems to be brewed in-house, the boba is made fresh daily, and the flavor profile of the (specifically Jasmine) tea is floral, not too sweet, bright, and delicious. It's also fantastic that the owner uses fresh milk rather than non dairy creamer (unless asked for)! I will be coming here as much as I can to get more!
