Wouldn't normally leave a review for a boba place after trying one drink but the Lychee Bomb swayed me (especially the fact that jelly was star-shaped) and I will definitely be back! I really liked being able to adjust the sweetness of the slushie and the strawberry bits added a nice tartness to a fairly sweet base. The lychee jelly was proper lychee jelly -- noticeably higher quality than what you'd find at other places. AND STAR-SHAPED!! BobaLust is a mini local chain with 5 stores. This Kirkland location is its newest. The pricing is straight forward. Signature items are $5.50 with tax included. The "normal" items are $4.50 also tax included. Additional toppings are $0.50. The staff was very nice. After he gave me my drinks, he asked me to try them for sweetness and remade one of my drinks for me. Thanks for that! They should ask when I am ordering though. Orange Dreamsicle - A blended drink with vanilla and orange and rainbow jelly This is a smoothie so it's milk based (I didn't ask if it's diary or non-diary milk though). I recommend giving it a hard shake to float the rainbow jelly into the blended drink. If you're a fan of orange dreamiscle, this is a worthy drink. Lychee Bomb - A blended drink with lychee jelly and strawberry bits This is a slushie so it's dairy free. He remade this one at 50% sweetness for me. One thing I really want is match green tea blended but that's okay there are so many options here to try. This place can get busy but they work hard to get the drinks out, usually no more than a few minute wait. I always get the mango slush with mango bits or honey boba, 0% sweet. The staff is helpful in making recommendations when I try a new drink too. The secret menu is something to ask for if you see a drink on the menu but maybe they can make it different like the choco with Oreo, so smooth and light at the same time. They also have games, I've never played them but it looks like fun if I'm with my cousins or friends. read more

Finally had a day off work, so you know I had to stop by the new BobaLust location!! (I always get the thai green tea, half sweet, with boba, so this is more about the new location.) The space itself is HUGE! Lots of parking space available, and when we're allowed to indoor dine again, there will be ample space for hanging out with friends. Nice to know that they opened a BobaLust on the eastside, so now there's no need to trek to Tukwila for this spot. Located in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Kirkland, this is a great addition to get your boba on. I visited BobaLust on an afternoon and the place wasn't busy; there were only a few customers in line. The staff were very friendly here. I wanted to try a new smoothie, and they recommended the chocolate slush with raspberry, which is what I ordered. For anyone who loves chocolate, it won't disappoint. It didn't take long for me to get my drink and it was solid. The smoothie was perfectly blended and had the right amount of liquid to ice. In addition to the chocolate flavor, you get taste raspberry, which was a nice contrast to the chocolate. Whenever I'm in the area I'd visit BobaLust again. She thought the OG Milk Tea was ok but preferred my Jasmine Milk Tea. The Jasmine Milk Tea had a nice flavor. We're not a big fan of the crushed ice as it fits through the straw so you can easily suck it up. The Sea Salt Cream topping wasn't my favorite compared to other places. It was more on the saltier side and no sweet. I prefer the cream to be a bit more sweet with the salty flavor. This boba place goes HARD. I was so sad we only just discovered it on our last day in Washington. The boba itself is the perfect texture and sweetness, and the drinks are so fun. There is so much variety and they all look so yummy. They also had star shaped jellies which made the drink just that much more fun. We were around the Kirkland area and decide to give bobalust a visit since we haven't been to this location before. We were greeted as soon we came through the doors. Customer service was on point, I asked a few questions and I ended up going the OG milk tea with 0% sweetness. Originally, I was going to order at 50% sweet, bc I didn't see a 25% option and then employee who was helping me asked me if I tried their 0% sweetness before and offered a sample. The 0% sweetness was actually just right, so I'm glad I was able to try it out first! We got regular ice level and with boba and the drink was good! Boba was excellent consistency, more on the chewy side, but not hard in the middle or anything. I would say the tea doesn't have a super strong tea flavor, its a little more on milky side, but still really good. I personally like my boba tea with a stronger tea flavor, but I do enjoy to change it up every once in a while. Another plus is that they have the small cubes of chewable, slushee ice inside their drinks. I feel like its more fun to drink bc you are able to sip up ice with the straw as you get to the bottom of your drink. They have lots of different drink options and a secret menu! I think next time I'll try the pure tea options. I did try the Thai green tea in the past and I remember it being really good. Best of all their store is dog friendly and we are alllll about dog friendly places! They offered our pup Koda some chicken for a tasty treat! BobaLust is quickly becoming one of my favorite boba places on the Eastside! I really like fruit teas and BobaLust has so many options to choose from, my friends and I spent so long looking at the menu trying to figure out what to get. The workers were so friendly, helping to answer any questions we had and offering substitutions for toppings. My go to here is the peach mango shaken tea - it has a good fruity flavor, not too sweet, and the mango bits are a nice touch. The only thing I don't like is that they use crushed ice instead of ice cubes, as the ice is small enough that you can get it in a sip with the rest of your drink. The interior of this boba shop is bright and nicely decorated, with lots of tables and seating. Not sure if they've added this by now, but it would be nice if they had some board games to play with your friends in the shop. Parking is easy, lots of spots in the strip mall. read more

Who ISN'T constantly on the hunt for the best boba in town?! I might be ready to discontinue my search in the Bellevue area. Bobalust was so delish. My friends and I all enjoyed our teas. We got the OG, taro and a third type with grass jelly. We were able to customize each one with add-ins and sugar-level. They even let us taste our tea and make adjustments if it was too sweet, not sweet enough, needed adjustments, etc. We loved our teas as-is but the staff was delightful and generous in their willingness to make sure we got exactly what we wanted! This was our first time trying BobaLust - Kirkland. My wife was having a tough day with her new teeth aligners and I knew Boba was the remedy. We ordered the Blushing Dragon with less ice and less sugar. The boba was fresh and getting bits of mango with each sip added a very nice dimension to the drink. This was the first boba shop I have been to that used crushed ice, I thought It would bother me but I barely noticed it. Atmosphere (4.5 out of 5): The atmosphere inside is very well balanced, with neon signs for BobaLust and a row of stuffed animals above their counter. The music is at a relatively noticeable volume, but not too loud, and I absolutely love their playlists, which is usually a mix of pop, k-pop and EDM. Service (4.5 out of 5): The service here has consistently been great - ordering from the menu is super simple, and the staff are friendly to offer any customizations you'd like. The staff seem to enjoy working there, and seem genuinely thankful for your business. Pick-up is standard at the counter. Food (4.5 out of 5): I primarily get BobaLust's slushies and smoothies - I haven't tried the milk tea enough to form an opinion, but their ice drinks are consistently above average. They've crafted a nice set of familiar tastes (orange creamsicle) and also newer combinations (peach and strawberry) and their smoothies are very well balanced overall. Some may find them too sweet but they hit the spot for me. Value (4 out of 5): Despite recently raising prices, BobaLust still falls into the overall average-priced drinks category. They aren't super cheap, but they also aren't overly expensive, and for the quality and size of my drink, I'm never feeling ripped off. I hope they can continue to keep their prices average. It's vibes. I saw this on the way to Dollar Tree and wanted to stop by. I got the Blushing Dragon with honey boba, less sugar, and less ice. It was around $7.50 and there's only one size. There's a lot of open space with long tables for seating with small groups of friends. The hours are until 10/11 which is great for late night hangs, especially if you don't drink and want a night spot besides a bar. The tea was a good sweetness and the boba is fresh. I love the different options they have here and it seems that most of their signatures are fruit based teas, smoothies, or slushees. The purple galaxy is delicious! So flavorful and perfectly sweet. I got brown sugar milk tea with salted cream cap. The drink was fabulous but I wish they had sipping lids so you could actually enjoy the foam. It doesn't have the same taste through the straw. We have visited twice, once around 7pm weekend and once 3pm on a weekday. The weekday visit was a slow process, as they only had 2 people working. BobaLust is in a part of Kirkland I don't normally visit so it was my first time here. Tucked away in a small shopping center, it's a great place to visit after running some of your other errands. BobaLust has a variety of different sweet drinks, many of them great for summer since they're iced. Because I like smoothies and sweet drinks quite a bit, this place was great for me. I got a peach-based smoothie which had great peach flavor and chunks in it. The staff working were really accommodating and made sure to let me try a sample of the drink before the put the rest in a cup so that it was to my liking-- I've never had anyone do that before. They also mentioned to some other customers when the drinks they ordered were very sweet to make sure they didn't want to adjust the sugar level. They have a very interesting chamoy-based drink that I've never seen before in a Boba place. It's something you might find in a Mexican all-inclusive resort, but a really unique inclusion here and highly recommended if you like a little spicy in your sweet mango. Welcome to Kirkland. I started to see a couple of posts from my Yelp friends and had to try it out myself. Just like all of the reviews said, this place is a great place for getting boba drinks. From the list of drinks there are two that standout for me the Chococat which is similar to a chocolate shake and the Orange Dreamsicle which is similar to an Orange Julius. Service is always so friendly. There is space inside and an outdoor area also. If you follow them on IG you might find a secret menu item that might pop up. This is by far my favorite boba place.. Friendliest customer service and such a welcoming vibes as you walk in. The gentleman who was taking the order asked me what level of sweetness and it only comes at 100 50, and 0 percent. He was very informative and told me that the zero percent still has a good lychee sweetness there. I took his advice and ordered the lychee slush with boba. The best part of this location is the open floor plan & seating. If you want a place to go & chill late until like 10p this is it. They do have a restroom tucked in the back but no signs showing where to go. Don't wait until 10p or 10:01 to place a to go order bc they're on point with closing up shop. Had heard a lot about Bobalust so decided to try it out when I was in Kirkland. I got the OG milk tea with Honey boba, no ice or sugar. The tea itself was nice and the sweetness from the boba was more than enough. The boba itself was not nice though. It was really tough and hard and felt like it had been sitting for a long long time. That ruined it for us. Also, the size of the boba relative to the straw is small which mean sometimes you can get a massive mouthful of boba but not enough tea. Also, the menu mentions that all prices include tax but the final bill definitely didn't reflect that. A tad misleading. Overall it's not bad, just not awesome either. read more

I had the best experience at BobaLust yesterday and I really have to share it with y'all The person at the front working there was the nicest person I have ever met, no joke. It was our first time visiting and he was so helpful. He walked my sister and I through the different types of drinks and gave us samples to try. He said that if I didn't end up liking my drink that he would make me another one on the house. They ended up running out of Thai tea for my sister, so he let her pick anything else on the menu that she liked to replace it. My sister decided to get the Lychee Bomb upon his recommendation. She only ever gets Thai tea, so this was very out of her comfort zone... but she said it was the best drink she's ever had and has officially moved on from Thai tea!! Hands down the best boba we have ever had :-) I will definitely be coming back here for the amazing boba and incredible employees! P.S.
