When I heard that there was a BobaLust in Kirkland I was extremely excited; didn't have to drive all the way to Tukwila anymore!! I love Bobalust's unique fruit drinks, they're very sweet and refreshing. Their slushes are also very good! My favorite drinks are the lychee lemonade and strawberry seduction. I absolutely adore the cute heart and star shaped jellies in the lychee lemonade. I didn't see it at this store but I hope they bring the secret menu items to this location. The service was extremely friendly and wonderful! The person at the cashier helped people pick out drinks if it was their first time here and made sure that everyone liked their drinks when they got it. I've been on a little bubble tea kick as of late and BobaLust was on my way home, so I decided to give them a try. There was plenty of parking in the lot on an cold, overcast Sunday afternoon. Inside, they were playing old school R&B and many of the tables were full of young people and families drinking bubble tea. I originally chose a fruit tea but when I asked for crema, the guy helping me suggested I get a milk-based tea instead. Even though I originally felt like I made some sort of boba faux pas, I followed his suggestion and decided on a Strawberry Seduction. It was ready in a flash and I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the strawberry bits. Regular sweetness seemed a bit too sweet, so next time I would cut it down to 50 or 75%. One thing I didn't like as much was that it doesn't have a super extensive list of flavors like other places I've been to, but I don't mind them focusing on quality over quantity. read more

We tried this place on our way to a road trip. We got a Taro boba tea. Firstly, the taste was not as great as other popular boba places. Our favorite, go-to bubble tea spot in the area! The owner and employees are always super friendly. If you don't like the drink, they are always willing to make things right! I have tried and enjoyed most of the drinks on the menu, Cali Kiss probably being my favorite. I don't write reviews often, but I just have to for BobaLust! Even though I live closer to other boba places, I drive extra far just for BobaLust. It's my go-to boba place not only because they have the best boba, but also because their customer service is so outstanding. The employees are all very friendly and I've even dropped drinks in the store and received slightly messed up orders, but they always happily remake my drink for me without me even having to ask. They also offer my puppy treats whenever I bring him in which is a plus :) The cafe itself has always been very clean and I've never had issues with finding seating or parking. I love this place! The drinks were top notch, delicious boba, and super friendly staff! My dear friend lives in Washington so I came for a visit and was pleasantly surprised about this boba place. It's in a random plaza and kind of unsuspecting- there's a few restaurants, a grocery store, and a dollar tree. I enjoyed this place so much we went two days in a row (as in both days I was visiting). Walking in, looks like your typical boba joint. I love the fall in lust with me sign. They have Apple Pay which is a plus. The staff is so incredibly friendly, making small talk without it being awkward and too forced. The first day we came it was super crowded and busy but we didn't have to wait long to order or for our drinks. The second day was not as busy as the day before and everything was still pretty quick. Staff seems pretty efficient. The space itself is big and there is a lot of seats that are still pretty spacious so it didn't feel crowded although there was a lot of people. Bathroom was super clean. The parking lot plaza of this place has plenty of parking so if you don't wanna sit outside you can sit in your car or hang outside with your friends. I got two different smoothies while I was there and definitely do not regret either. Will be back to try those signature drinks as well! So happy my friend brought me here! read more

First time here! And I didn't know they had a location in Kirkland. I love boba and I love bobalust. My favorite drink would have to be strawberry seduction if you are looking for a more thicker drink like yogurt type. They also have a couple of great drinks that aren't on the menu called summer sash with peach bits in it. And a drink called amethyst. The HONEY boba is the best, must get with your drinks. The drinks are alright actually. It's not your traditional asian boba places that I am accustomed to. Most of their drinks are sickly sweet so it's best to adjust the sweetness. The flavors are not exactly what I call authentic, but if you are just looking for a drink that is close to being a boba, then you should be decently happy with this place. The boba are not the greatest, the texture is a bit chewy and small. Not very satisfying at all. Then again, I have tried numerous places all over the world, and this is a small satisfactory store. If you live near this location and just want a place to hang out and order a "boba drink" then it's a good place. If you live and speak boba, then this place will certainly fall flat. There is no food here that I am aware of which doesn't help with the atmosphere. The little boba stuffed toys to add some color is a good attempt to add something to the place but considering the dark coloring of the walls, it feels more of an attempt to be cheerful than to add an already fun atmosphere. The dining area is quite large and wide. Even with the tables in there, it still feels very spacious. Too spacious. Why would that matter? Well, there is no sense of "intimacy" if you will. When something feels very spacious, it can almost have a discomforting feeling. As if you want to be somewhere enclosed or comforting. If the place is busy all the time, then perhaps it would make sense, but it's not, so it feels a bit disjointed. So, to fill in the space, there should be activities, gaming stations, TV, books, pinball machine or a fun booth or something. It doesn't have to be expensive at all either, just some creativity and a few things from the party store can really jazz the place up. There is no marketing either other than using the word LUST. Which is an interesting way to market boba depending on your outlook. This is definitely a work in progress and it certainly has a lot of areas it could be improved upon. If you are able to travel a bit further, i would highly encourage to visit other boba places to expand on. read more

Absolutely love this place! They have really tasty boba and their staff is super positive and nice. They even offer treats for their canine guests. The cafe's playlist always puts me in the best mood. The outdoor seating area is well outfitted and pup friendly. We've been to both the Tukwila and Kirkland locations and this one is our favorite. I always get the lychee slush at 50% sweetness with honey boba and mango jelly. It's sooo good. My husband has tried all of their smoothies and his top three favorites are: 1. LOVE this place! We've tried all the bubble tea places in Kirkland (there's quite a few of them) and Bobalust is by far the best one! I like to judge a place by their classic milk tea. (Their OG milktea is the best!) It can't be too bitter, can't be too rich but also can't be too watery, and the boba can't be dense/hard. Literally Bobalust has all of the categories down PERFECT. It's got just the right amount of tea flavor without being bitter or overpowering, but you can still taste the tea. The milktea itself is very creamy and velvety without being too rich. The boba is the perfect chewy texture. And like most places, you can sub for almond milk, control the sweetness, and ice levels. We've tried some of the blended ones too and they're all mindblowingly delicious. The strawberry one has strawberry chunks! My kids' all time favorite is the oreo taro. It's to die for! There's a ton of toppings available that they don't show on the website. They also have a "secret menu," which is pretty much just you asking for whatever your heart desires and them trying their best to make it for you! I went in and was like "soooo back in the day, this one place had a rose milk tea that was so good..." and they were like DONE! They made it for me on the spot and it was exactly what I wanted. The customer service is consistency awesome - everyone is so nice! I've never had a bad experience there. Would 1000% recommend this place! EDIT: My husband wanted to add his two cents. He said: I like Bobalust because everything tastes really fresh and pure. I am so happy to have found a place on the Eastside that does a solid Thai Green Tea. They have a friendly staff, high quality drinks yet affordable prices, and generous portions. I couldn't believe I paid less than $6 for a large drink. Everywhere else you're expected to pay at least $7 for a medium size while taking a gamble at the quality. So excited to finally have a decent boba place in Kirkland. The name itself sets high expectations and they are definitely met through customer service, taste and value. Upon entry of the store the wide, open space allows for ample social distancing. Although no where to sit...assuming due to the times...there are warm places to prop yourself and wait for your drink after you order. The staff gets five star plus and are super friendly. The cashier/owner/manager suggested a medley of drinks and patiently also explained they could spilt drinks. The price of these drinks are more than competitive and I say slightly cheaper. We ordered the OG milk tea with lychee jelly and Thai milk tea. Both were delicious with well balanced flavors. The teas were both unique with a clean, smooth taste that definitely quenched that milk tea craving. Some places have teas that are chalky and broken with a powdery after taste however this is NOT that type of place. These teas deliver a refreshing quality and the milk tea chef definitely put in the time to add the perfect balance to each drink. So happy to have a decent boba place in Kirkland. The menu is a medley of suggested mixed milk tea and slushy drinks full of bright colors, tropical, cool flavors for the adventurous and undecided. My family of five came here on a Wednesday evening and the two employees were really sweet and helpful with recommendations. I was debating on a few drinks and finally chose the Taro Oreo drink with no adjustments. Normally my favorite taro drinks have bits of the real thing and this drink did not have it, which is why I docked a star, instead they use a powder, not a fan, so it tasted artificial to me. My other family members had drinks they found refreshing, good on a hot summer day, and they enjoyed it. One of them ordered the OG milk tea and didn't like it in comparison to other places as it has more of a bitter taste. The ambience is nice though the tables could use more cleaning as a few empty tables had boba drink stickiness and coloring on them. They also provide games to play so we took advantage and played a round of Uno. Plentiful of parking right outside this strip mall hidden behind Tech City Bowling. read more
