I can't comment on price, but I've had Bobateani a few times. In general I think their toppings are good and the teas are okay. I think they're a solid choice for events. I gave them an extra star because their service is great. Once we got catering and the people who delivered the drinks were super nice. Another time, there was an intimidatingly long line of people at their popup bar but the person making the drinks was really sweet and patient. Dragonfruit drink: tastes a little artificial, but the aloe has a nice texture. Thai milk tea: tasty standard Thai milk tea. Boba was perfect amount of chewiness. Taro milk tea: Not for me because I prefer real taro and they use something artificial. read more

We used Bobateani for a 100 person catering event and they knocked it out of the park! Communication was seamless, service + hospitality were above and beyond - Bobaristas Jared + Tim were amazing. Having Bobateani host their signature boba bar was such a unique offering and the residents of our community absolutely loved it. If you are thinking of having a full service boba bar at your wedding, bobateani IS IT!! They just did my wedding last night, July 15, 2023 and I cannot recommend them enough! All the guests were gushing about the boba bar and how amazing the bobaristas were. How much fun it to get to choose a drink and have them make it. They make the drinks super fast to get through the large crowd! But most importantly, the drinks were GREAT! When we were table visiting, almost everyone had a boba drink and they couldn't stop talking about how great the drinks were and they were just so happy with bobateani! Choose your wedding vendors well to ease the stress of wedding planning. Bobateani is a vendor you can trust! Yes, it might cost more to have them do full service vs drop off boba. But honestly, you can call up many boba shops to have that done. Full service boba bar- that's different! LOVE THEM! read more

I highly recommend booking Bobateani's services. We had a gender reveal at a park and originally planned on doing a drop off service. Plans changed for a boba bar instead. Set up didn't take too long and they arrived on time. Two staff members came on site and were easy going. The menu offered a variety of drinks as well as coffee option and simple options. Getting the drinks was quick and the wait wasn't too long. The cup also had a custom made sticker of our gender reveal theme. This was a great touch. We did a last call and they were able to handle the two dozen guests that lined up. Their breakdown didn't take too long either. Don't forget to feed your vendors, always offer them a meal. Bobateani strictly does catering, they do not have a storefront. read more

They were great to work with, their set up was amazing, the service was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and they had an incredible variety! Plus, it was the HIT OF THE PARTY! I didn't know this company existed until someone referred them to me. They were not only available a few days before for my party but they also responded in a timely manner. I asked a few boba places before that supposedly "cater," but one's representative was all talk and ghosted me and one never responded. So if you're wanting boba for an event, I suggest to go with Bobateani for catering. read more

I don't normally give 5 star reviews, however this is certainly an exception. I had the privilege of enjoying Bobateani at a catering event at the Year up campus. The teas were very well balanced and the selections were better than most boba shops. Trust me when I say do yourself a favor and book them for your next event. They don't disappoint. By the way Sarina was an absolute rockstar! Her recommendations on what to mix and how to pair the teas with what food to eat was impressive. Loved this pop up at my company today! They make their drinks quickly and I waited about 30 minutes in line for my milk tea. The only disappointment was that they had a lot of flavors, but ran out of the flavors quickly and when it got to my turn there was only regular milk tea left. They should really stock more and be more prepared since there was a little less than 45 minutes left of catering. Boba: - Honey boba pearls are good, fresh, and chewy - Original Milk Tea was GREAT, lots of flavor and I can taste the tea - They didn't fill all of the cups completely. My friend's and mine was 3/4 filled only--bummer. Again, preparation is key. Overall: good milk tea but needs work on prep and stocking. read more

I work at a local Children's Hospital, and we were having an event to honor some of our nurses, and it was suggested we have boba catered for them. I contacted Patsy with Bobateani and we literally had our event set up in a matter of minutes! She was very responsive to my questions and basically knew exactly what we needed (because I certainly didn't). The day of the event, she and her team arrived at the exact time she said they would and were set-up and ready to go in no time. Her team were very polite, respectful, and friendly with our nurses, and leadership who attended the event. Don't let me forget to mention everyone LOVED IT!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The teas tasted great and they were very organized. They were pleasant and had great customer service for handling a group of 110. Their suggestions they made to handle the rush of 110 people in a 30 minute break was great as well. They also had their milk teas dairy free so we truly had something for everyone. I honestly feel like I have to caps this to get people's attention... BEST DECISION EVER! It was honestly a last minute decision to get a Boba Bar for the wedding. Bobateani had the best VARIETY of options in flavor from different fruity flavors and popular flavors like thai tea, taro, etc. Our family and friends loved it! They were super excited when they saw Alfredo set up the booth and he definitely did not disappoint. Him and his staff gave the best service. They were super patient with our guests since there was about 200 people there. The quality of the toppings and the tea/ milk tea was really good. Definitely will recommend them to anyone! read more

On a hot day, this milk tea was so refreshing. I'm a big tea drinker alone and prefer not too much sweetness. know with boba teas, it can get a little sweet. But Bobaeani's were almost perfect. It did not take away the actual tea taste and was not watered down. The toppings were also the right texture (not almost frozen as some places I've been). The set up, as they had traveled to us, was SUPER cute and SUPER clean and fresh. Everything was done to order and made right in front of you. They had much variety in their boba tea, and not just 1 or 2 flavors and 1 or 2 toppings. They had the works! This is also a family business and it's always good to see a family working together and thriving at their business. And of course, they do it ALL with a smile! read more

Bobateani was a BIG hit at my daughter and son's combo grad party yesterday! They arrived early, did a nice and clean set up and executed delivery on the drinks pretty quick! Staff was professional and friendly! They had smiles on while taking orders and making drinks which says a lot about customer service! The variety of flavors and mixture they had to offer was amazing as it gave our guests options and what they wanted versus having a limited menu to choose from. We even got FIRST TIME Boba drinkers to try it and they LOVED it! Even my one year old son got his own TARO drink since he loved it so much! They even provide a photo booth for your party!!! We had Bobateani cater boba at our wedding recently. Their boba bar was a hit! The boba baristas and Alfredo were super friendly, and I really appreciated their presence. The boba bar looked super cool with its lighting and presentation. The milk tea and toppings were AMAZING. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to taste so good. My wife and I are usually picky about boba, but there were no complaints from us. I really enjoyed the coffee jelly with the classic milk tea. Everything tasted fresh! Absolutely LOVED working with Alfredo, Jerome, and the rest of the team for the Christmas party I planned this year! They were all so friendly and attentive -- and made some of the best boba EVER. We had two tastings, one upon signing the contract and a final one closer to the date where we were able to bring along family and a close friend. They served us full plates of every dish so we even left with plenty of leftovers, which was such a fun bonus for us! It was super convenient having them coordinate the table design at their warehouse, including the linens, plateware, and glassware. While the design meeting isn't a "boutique" curated experience, their warehouse has plenty of options to choose from if you already have a general color palette and vibe in mind. On the wedding day, the staff was extremely attentive and brought us hand rolls before cocktail hour even started to ensure we actually got to eat. The live hand roll station was a massive hit with our guests and absolutely delicious. Went to their website to order catered buffet lunch for a board retreat happening the next day in Los Altos. As before site easy to navigate with a variety of options to tailor. The first clue that there might be issues was I wasn't able to see or select my ideal delivery time for later in the day. I thought they were already booked for the time. Then when I confirmed & paid for my order, the interface provided a message at bottom of my receipt that catering orders must be made 48 hours in advance. I did it the night before our retreat. (Made note to self to order 48 hours in advance in future) I was disappointed that the website did not clearly note must be made 48 hours in advance or message before I paid that I was ordering less than 48 hours. After making a decent size order for 9, I went in mode hoping to salvage this order. I sent email to restaurant and left a voicemail that night with intention to call in morning to ensure they can fulfill order or provide a refund if they cannot. I called in morning to leave another message in hopes they check messages before their Saturday opening time of 11am which would not allow enough time to cook & deliver. So while setting up for our retreat and searching for a plan B for lunch the hour before retreat starts at 9:30am, I discovered several missed calls. To my delight it was Lorena confirming that they can complete the order, to call back & that would need to pay $20 to deliverer (lunch delivery is complimentary during weekdays near to their restaurant). She left voicemail and text. When I called back, I thank her and Athena grill for coming through. Fast forward, food delivered in mobile hot boxes as expected on time by a couple, quietly arranged in the back of room, generous serving for 9, and very hot for traveling from Santa Clara to Los Altos. I confirmed with Lorena via text and expressed my gratitude who again was responsive. The food was enjoyed by all. We had salad (crisp w/dressing on side), grilled veggies (chunky cut that were firm not mushy), spanakopita (crisp phylo w/good size filling), vegetarian moussaka (would not miss the meat), rice (loose and more than enough for 9 of us), grilled skewered chicken (always moist), grilled salmon (first time and was good portion), and baklava (tasted home made). One of my colleagues asked if food was Halal, which I think they confirmed. Unsure if correct, so suggest contact restaurant directly. Brought leftovers for Hubby & Dad to enjoy. Made plans to eat at their restaurant so can enjoy other yummy dishes like their lamb. Thank you Lorena & Athena Grill Catering.
