I got here right when they opened. Place was obviously cleaned for opening. The worker was very friendly, and made the drinks quickly. Breaktime is pretty popular since its right next to SJSU. My favorite drink has to be the Roasted Oolong Milk tea and boba here is actually well made. The oolong doesn't have much roasted flavor, but I still think its yummy and probably one of the best drinks here. I also like the popcorn chicken. You get a lot of big pieces and can choose from regular or spicy. I picked spicy but didn't taste it, so I'm not sure if that's the flavor or they forgot. They also let me get extra chili sauce! But one thing I noticed was that the music has a ton of profanity in it and customers were leaving just because of the degrading music, one of the Lyrics happy birthday b***tch like have someore class when choosing music please? My go-to place for boba and snacks in the area. Its strength, to me, is in its consistent dependable quality. I am thrown off by texture really easily in terms of food and I have never had an issue with the boba here despite having inconsistent experiences at other boba places- the boba here is always well made. I find that these teas are very sweet but not overly so, which I really like, another thing that makes this place stand out to me. Snack-wise I have mostly had the curly fries, chicken nibblers, and popcorn chicken-- all of which are dependable snack options, with the nibblers being my favorite- and a good value for me, as a snack I can sometimes split across two meals. It's a great place to sit and work, as well. I feel like I always have at least one classmate I recognize from SJSU in the building with me. The location is super convenient for me and the service has never let me down. There can be a little bit of a wait for food sometimes but I personally have never had a problem with it. My friend goes to SJSU and we both wanted boba but didn't want to go too far. We looked up what was close and found Breaktime Tea. This was my first time here so I didn't know what to expect but as someone who loves milk tea /tea in general, I had to try it. When I go to new places, I try to get the ones that sound familiar so I compare the sweetness (some are water down or too sweet) but this was just right for me. We got black sugar boba milk and honey green tea. They were both amazing and refreshing, especially the honey tea. They also weren't too pricey. The sugar levels can be a bit too sweet for some so you may not like it too much but you can get less sugar for the drinks so if you do get these drinks. The tea barista was so nice and patient. We stood there for a while since we weren't too sure what to get. They helped us quickly so we got our drink in 2-3 minutes after the order. They have seating, but it can get filled up quickly and the vibe is very cozy. However, they've definitely gotten my seal of approval as one to return back to again and again. The shop is located close to San Jose State so I assume a lot of students like to come here. The vibe is very casual with a small seating area inside. Their drinks here were fantastic. I ordered an Oolong Milk Tea with Boba (non-dairy creamer is used) and it was a solid drink. My partner had a Fruit Tea here and my goodness, it was better than my own drink. Even with half sugar on both drinks, it was still plenty sweet so we advise you to do the same. Only issue I had was that the air conditioning wasn't working when we went so it was hot and stuffy inside. They offer non-dairy milk options for an up charge and a good variety of toppings as well. It is a small place but has a good amount of seating as well as a bathroom for customers only (must as for a code). Food here is good my sweet potato fries could've been crispier but they do come with a free sauce, I tried my friends popcorn chicken thought which was a lot better with nice size juicy crispy pieces of chicken (also come with a sauce). There's some room for improvement here but it's not bad at all and I'll definitely come back when I'm craving some boba in the area.
