Wow ...after checking out Yelp recommendations, we decided to check out Bobbie's near Brook City Base. This is without a doubt the Best breakfast we've had in the San Antonio area. Savannah was our friendly waitress and gave wonderful recommendations and all the staff was super welcoming. The portions were huge and all the breakfast items were cooked to perfection and included warm syrup. This reminded us of a southern diner experience and we look forward to returning soon and trying the lunch next time. We felt at home in the warm and inviting spot.

We are locals and like to explore all that our beautiful city has to offer. One of the eateries we really enjoyed was our visit to Bobbie's Southern Kitchen. When we got there, we did have to wait a bit, but it wasn't a very long wait. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and polite. Our server came by to check on us several times and asked how everything was and if we needed our drinks topped off. She did make small conversation with us, which was nice. They have a decent selection, and the servings are huge! If you are looking for some delicious comfort food, try Bobbie's, it won't disappoint.

First-timer to this San Antonio gem and I was pleasantly surprised. I love diners so this was definitely a nice treat after the MLK march. The parking lot is small but you can park in the neighboring lots as well. We were nicely greeted with a smile and charm after a 10 minute wait. The interior was warm and cozy with a more modern diner appeal. The layout is long but not wide with efficient seating at the counter and tables. The price is comparable to fast food but the amount of food for the price is amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. I got the Morning Wrecker, a chicken fried steak with hash browns underneath and biscuit on top. A fried egg and cheese smothered with gravy tops the biscuit. The biscuit wasn't as fresh as I would have preferred and it was hard and crumbly. Other than that the meal was very satisfying. I will definitely be back to try other options on their full menu.

We've had this spot on our list to check out for the longest time and checked it out for my birthday breakfast. From what I've heard, this place can get packed and it seems to have a solid following. It was a Friday morning, and it was busy, the acoustics in the restaurant are horrible so it can get very loud and chances of hearing conversations are hard. Food was great though and service was friendly and we were checked in often. I did noticed that tables were placed very close together so seating can be challenging for large parties. There is also counter seating towards the front of the restaraunt with additional seating. I ordered the The Texas which is an omelet, hash browns and a side, which I chose the grilled biscuits which they are known for. The omelet was packed with veggies, perfectly cooked and the hashbrowns were cooked to order. The biscuit was so good - it was large, soft yet crispy where it needed to be. I also added turkey bacon but I should've ordered it be made crispy. My sister ordered the Big Country Breakfast - the pancakes were perfect! We both had lots of leftovers as their portions are large. I wanted to try a slice of one of their pies, but I was too full. Since this place is nearby, I'll definitely be stopping in again to try out their lunch menu and dessert!

The service was excellent, coffees and waters were never below half full. The food wasn't bad, I wasn't particularly impressed by the brisket breakfast skillet. The servings were large if that matters.

Always a good experience coming here. We get ourselves on the waitlist expecting to wait at least 30-40 min because... well, the food is worth it. First time trying their non bfast items with James as our server; hubs and I were not disappointed. I had the mamas boy and ordered extra jalapeños ($0.50) and hubs got the Lone star patty melt. Not bad but I'll have to stick with my bfast go to's

I decided to try Bobbie's for breakfast after hearing a neighbor rave about the food. The restaurant is very cute and homey, with just enough room. Our server was attentive and our food came out quickly. I heard the chicken fried steak was a must and even though I saw brisket hash on the menu, I had to give the cfs a try. My son ordered the Breakfast Wrecker. The chicken fried steak was really tasty, seasoned well with just the right amount of breading. I found the biscuit and fried okra okay, the ch fried steak was definitely the star of the show. My son destroyed his meal and I took leftovers home with me. I would definitely go back and try the brisket hash.

Friendly staff and delicious food, what's not to like? Make sure to check the waitlist and join it ahead of time. Also, the parking lot can be tight, so be careful driving in. We tried the Morning Wrecker and Big Country Breakfast. The Morning Wrecker is a massive dish with a perfect chicken fried steak. The biscuit was a little thick and the gravy was a smidge salty. For the Big Country Breakfast with the banana pecan pancake. The pancake was perfectly fluffy and didn't need any syrup because of the prailine sauce.

Food and coffee were delicious! Service is excellent. Little hole in the wall, where ALL the locals go. We'll be back tomorrow.

Had great service throughout the meal and enjoyed the ambience on the patio ! Went with a mocktail and the ricotta and peach on toast! It was delicious and had a slight spicy kick which was great! It is in a shopping center of sorts in a commercial establishment here in San Antonio. I say this because it lets you know that there are two entrances and you'll be graded regardless , but you will be indicated where to sit if you go to the hostess front desk by the firewood first Customer service was outstanding and earned this place. It's fifth star. I was made to feel welcome and when the sun in the San Antonio skies was shining right in my face through a window because of the time of the afternoon, I knew I would have no luck studying, so I was moved without hesitation. I know that switching tables might be a little bar but believe me when I'm telling you that simply doing a job versus doing it with a smile, makes the world of a difference to me. The food was fantastic by the way , I'd be remiss if I didn't gush about the meatballs and the pizza. I have never tried spicy honey chicken before and I'm glad that I chose this spot to do it for the first time. Everything is literally made to order right then, and there and the absolute freshness of the ingredients shows from the first bite to the very last. There seemed to be other people studying there too as well as what looked like groups of 2 to 8 occupying various tables so this establishment lends itself to family or party friendly dinner reservations.

This isn't flashy it's honest, bold, and unapologetically Texan. The food lands like a punch: brisket smoked to perfection, chili‑glazed short ribs that demand attention, and Gulf red snapper with chorizo crust that makes your mouth sit up. Sides and sauces? No filler, just full‑flavored allies. The drinks are sharp, strong, and right. Mezcal Old Fashioneds, tequila‑bright margaritas, and cocktails that feel like they've seen the world but still know how to have fun. Service doesn't hover it knows the rhythm. The River Walk hums outside, music drifts in, and every bite and sip feels like it belongs to this place. Five stars. Bold, beautiful, and unmistakably Texas.

They told us they'd add us to the list, but they never actually did. As we waited for 20 minutes, 4 other groups were immediately sat and were not informed of any wait. When we followed up, they never apologized and acted extremely annoyed. To their credit, it is in a shaded area next to the river, which makes eating outside fairly tolerable/enjoyable. And the food was pretty good. Overall, I would not recommend this place to others.
