    My receipt

I walk with the use of a cane and an employee was called to carry my tray for me. Waitress was fine. Broccoli was not warm. Mostly elders while I was here.

    Happy kids.

Yum! Business was booming today and it's easy to see why! Myself and all the kiddos enjoyed our meals. And best yet, the kids' meals were free. A great price for a great meal with superior service. My Baked Almondine was both flaky and tasty. My boys enjoyed their jello too!

This was my first time eating at a Luby's and I was impressed! They have a wide range of options for whatever you're craving. It's truly customizable and all the food is delicious. The restaurant holds a lot of people and seems to be very busy. Service is great for ordering, paying, and servers make sure your drink is always full.

Traditional American food. I've been coming here for years and I have so many memories here. My dad would bring us here after church service on Sundays. My favorite plate is the fried fish ( LUANN PLATTER ) the consistency of this dish remains the same. The mashed potatoes are not clumpy and hard. The macaroni is always hot and has the right amount of cheese! Great place to bring the whole family. Thank you for your fantastic service, beautiful atmosphere, very friendly and family oriented! Great customer service, Amazing Food. Not to mention this is my favorite place to dine in!

It is in a shopping center of sorts in a commercial establishment here in San Antonio. I say this because it lets you know that there are two entrances and you'll be graded regardless , but you will be indicated where to sit if you go to the hostess front desk by the firewood first Customer service was outstanding and earned this place. It's fifth star. I was made to feel welcome and when the sun in the San Antonio skies was shining right in my face through a window because of the time of the afternoon, I knew I would have no luck studying, so I was moved without hesitation. I know that switching tables might be a little bar but believe me when I'm telling you that simply doing a job versus doing it with a smile, makes the world of a difference to me. The food was fantastic by the way , I'd be remiss if I didn't gush about the meatballs and the pizza. I have never tried spicy honey chicken before and I'm glad that I chose this spot to do it for the first time. Everything is literally made to order right then, and there and the absolute freshness of the ingredients shows from the first bite to the very last. There seemed to be other people studying there too as well as what looked like groups of 2 to 8 occupying various tables so this establishment lends itself to family or party friendly dinner reservations.

Had great service throughout the meal and enjoyed the ambience on the patio ! Went with a mocktail and the ricotta and peach on toast! It was delicious and had a slight spicy kick which was great! Also tried the Brussels sprout / those were okay but would have preferred them more charred / roasted but still good! Always a great spot in Southtown!

Overall: 4.6/5 [dine in]…read more Phenomenal service from start to finish. They were able to seat us on the patio as a walk in on a Saturday night, checked in to offer us a spot by the fireplace when it opened up, kept our water filled throughout the night, and even asked how we wanted our food served. Little touches like that really make a difference. They also brought out complimentary ciabatta bread when we were first seated and then without us asking, brought a fresh batch after our appetizer. The second round was better, with a nice crispy edge that made that satisfying crunch when you squeezed it. Really good with the butter, though if the butter had been just a little saltier it would have been perfect. Beef Carpaccio ($32): Good but average. The individual components were all there but the dish felt like it was missing cohesion. The black sesame parmesan tuiles were a standout though. Georges Bank Seared Sea Scallop ($49): Three huge scallops cooked phenomenally. The mushroom risotto was a bit al dente and on the saltier side, and the mushroom flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked. The squid ink beurre blanc was lovely though and really brought the dish together. Despite the risotto I would still order this again just for those scallops. Duck and Foie Gras ($46): The duck was cooked beautifully and the foie gras wasn't too heavy, just the right amount. I loved the strawberry arugula salad that came with it. The pairing worked really well overall. I personally didn't think butternut squash was the right puree choice but my husband disagreed and absolutely loved this dish. Foucher Sancerre Rosé ($15 glass): I am usually not a fan of rosé because of how dry they tend to be, but this one was not bad. It tasted much better when paired with food. August Riesling ($12 glass): A yummy, sweet drink that is refreshing and easy to drink. I had to pace myself or I would have finished it before the main courses even came out.

I finally got to try Bliss, thanks to Restaurant Week!…read more We were immediately seated when we got to the restaurant. The waiter greeted us and gave us the option to order from their regular menu or the menu made specifically for Restaurant Week. We went with the edited menu and had an assortment of starters with the tostadas and the wedge salad being the top picks. Our main entrees consisted of the shrimp and grits which was amazingly delicious! The meatballs on the risotto were equally as good. For the desserts, I will say I thoroughly enjoyed my mix berries on the butter cake. Really delicious. Service was great. There was a bit of a long gap in between our starters and the entrees but they made it up with their overall friendly service. PSA for those with hearing challenges, the noise level is quite loud in the restaurant. I will say that I'd like to go back and try their other dishes.

I used to go very often. They're a little on the pricier side but so worth it. It's beautiful inside and outside. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I won't wait so long again to go back. My go to meal the is Howard. Scrambled eggs with crab topped with a lobster tail. So so good. Even the little bread/muffin basket they serve you before the meal is great. Lemonade is delicious. My son had pancakes and bacon and inhaled them. His mother always gets the pot roast. She wasn't disappointed. I will say although the gumbo is decent, it's not the best I've had. The roux is very dark which gives it a slight burned taste. But the flavors are there. All in all love Cappy's. I won't make the mistake of staying away so long again.

The ambiance at Cappy's was great, and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived for our reservation…read more We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our friends, and the bartenders and staff there were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the experience changed once we were seated. Our waiter was incredibly short and came across as rude throughout the meal. When we asked for recommendations or some of his favorite menu items, his response was essentially, "I don't know what you like," rather than offering any guidance. The service somehow felt rushed even though the food itself came out slowly, and there were very few check-ins during the meal. When it came time for dessert, we asked to see a dessert menu and were simply told, "It's on the menu you have," which summed up the lack of hospitality we experienced at the table. I ordered the Mustang Chicken, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The chicken was fatty, full of tendon, and tasted more like a frozen piece of chicken that had been dropped into a deep fryer than something I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. It's disappointing because the restaurant has a great atmosphere and our experience at the bar started off so well. Unfortunately, between the table service and the quality of the food, I would not recommend Cappy's based on this visit.
