I always love visiting Kerbey Lane Cafe when I am visiting San Antonio. Their service is always friendly and fast. We enjoyed a cloudy in the patio with our pet and enjoyed the environment. Our server was so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious and we were served so fast. Always a plus and never disappointed.

1st visit at Kerbey lane cafe and it was great. We went during their happy hour and they had a great cocktail list. They have a broad menu and a separate menu for gluten friendly options , their most popular dish seems to be the steak frites so I got it and it was amazing I definitely want to return and try the salmon coconut curry. Our server was Penny and she was great and very friendly and helpful with the menu and any questions we had. I'd love to return!

I visited Kerbey Lane Cafe for the first time and had mixed feelings. On the positive side, the restaurant was very clean and spacious, and my iced salted caramel latte was quite good. However, the service and food were a bit of a letdown. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty, we waited 10-15 minutes to be seated--likely a staffing issue. The "Carrot Cake" pancake of the month was bland and very tough to cut. As for the main course, my Crispy Chicken Benedict was okay, but the chile verde sauce was surprisingly sour rather than spicy. The candied bacon was soggy and had an off-putting aftertaste. My husband's Kerbey Lane Combo was also underwhelming; the breakfast potatoes were mostly crumbs, appearing like the end of a previous batch. Given the long wait for the food to arrive, I was expecting a much higher quality.

I stopped by the San Antonio location yesterday during the afternoon, and it was the perfect time to go! The place was super empty, which made for a very chill and relaxed vibe. The Highlights * Speedy Service: Since it wasn't crowded, the food came out incredibly fast. * Attentive Staff: The service was great--they really stayed on top of everything, especially with the drink refills. * The Spread: I went with the classic Biscuits, Eggs, Sausage & Gravy--the peppered gravy is exactly the kind of comfort food I was craving. We also had to get the Kerbey Queso (you can't skip the guac and pico) and a side of Deviled Eggs topped with that crispy prosciutto. Why You Should Go If you're looking for that scratch-made, "thoughtfully-sourced" comfort food without the crazy weekend wait times, an afternoon visit is definitely the way to do it. It's a San Antonio staple in the making! #KerbeyLane #SanAntonioEats #SATXFoodie #ComfortFood #KerbeyQueso

I met a friend for lunch here and we were both happy with the ambience, service and food for the most part. I had the harvest chicken with glazed brussel sprouts and thought it was pretty good. I tried different flavors of tea, though, and never found one that was to my liking. Kudos to the waitress who was super patient as I tried to find one that I thought was good. They do give large portions so I had lunch for another day thanks to leftovers. It is actually a very nice looking restaurant and my friend and I both agree we would most likely return.

I was shocked that the SA Kerbey Lane restaurant was so much fancier than the two locations in Austin. The newly renovated modern and clean interior of the restaurant made for a great setting. Our server seemed a little disgruntled that we had a large party but she was very professional throughout the experience. The food was all delicious. Really great flavor for the salmon and brussel sprouts. The pancakes weren't as good as the ones I've had from the Austin Kerbeys but they were still very good. Will definitely be back to try other parts of the menu!

Kerbey Lane was a staple for me throughout my college years in Austin - always reliable and tasty though the wait has gotten significantly longer since then. This Kerbey Lane is by the Rim but it can get a little difficult to find parking/you will probably miss a turn the first time you go. I highly recommend coming in around 10-11 am on Sundays to beat the brunch rush, it gets crazy packed here. Our breakfasts were delicious - I love the classic eggs Benny, my husband originally wanted oatmeal but the breakfast smell made him change his mind to a classic breakfast plate instead. I've always had just breakfast here. I'll need to swing by in the afternoon because the lunch/dinner menu looks interesting. Def a nice place to check out before your shopping trip at the Rim :)

Tuesday evenings is where it's at! Amazing service (ask for Carmen) Chef Victoria ‍ whipped up the steak and frites to perfection (the chimichurri is sooo good) and the wagyu bacon wrapped meatloaf was delicious! We got queso, our 2 mains, and tres leches for only $45 (dinner for two)

The restaurant is very clean and inviting. We went on a Thursday morning, so there was zero wait time. The servers were friendly and quick. The food was overall good, but would not recommend the avocado toast. They also have a variety of coffees and variety of other brunch beverages. We will go again.

The peppermint mocha was heavenly! It was the perfect hot holiday drink while on vacation. The pumpkin French toast was thick, moist, and very pumpkiny. Yum! I always order my bacon extra crispy and they did not disappoint. I love when restaurants have season menus. The fall season is my favorite and I have to take in as much pumpkin spice everything while it lasts. The combination of my breakfast with a holiday peppermint drink was the best! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

I went here for brunch for a friend's birthday. We were seated right away but unfortunately it took us over 30 minutes to order our food. Our server brought us our drinks but then was working the bar and had many other tables besides us. If we had known we should have ordered our food at the same time we ordered our drinks. I tried the Texas Benedict. The steak and eggs were cooked nicely and I liked the queso on top but felt like the ratio to cornbread was off. I feel like this review is skewed for me as it was difficult to enjoy my food after waiting so long to order and then again for our food to come out. Hangry was happening! However the food was tasty. At the end of the meal our server gave us coupons to come back to try dinner. If I come back I'll make sure to order my drink and food at the same time.

This is a small chain of restaurants in San Antonio with an upscale look with a big menu and fair prices. I started our meal with their Blackberry Old Fashion. Wow this was an excellent drink. My wife had the Shimp Tacos and I had the Smash Burger. Fries come with the burger and these guys have shoestring fries! I highly recommend those. This is a big burger and it will fill you up. We really enjoyed our meal. But the Werks is not a burger place. Their menu is impressive. There is something for everyone. Steaks, rib eye, fish, pasta, pizza, salads and a great list of sandwiches. The restaurant itself is lovely inside perfect for small celebrations or family dinners and the service is almost always excellent. I had a strawberry margarita, which was sweet and delicious, just the way I like it! One of my guests ordered a blueberry mixed drink, but they were accidentally served a peach drink. We notified the server immediately, and when he returned, it was the same drink with no straw or cherry. He mentioned the bartender had added blueberry mix into the peach drink rather than bringing the correct one. That felt odd and inconsiderate. If the drink couldn't be swapped or refunded, it would have been much better to simply be informed instead of receiving this unusual workaround. For my meal, I ordered the ribeye steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes as usual. Disappointingly, the entire plate felt bland. The seasoning was minimal, and it didn't taste like the Stone Werks meals I know and love. Steak and mashed potatoes should be a guaranteed win, especially for this restaurant. On the bright side, the calamari was perfect, crispy and flavorful. I'll still be visiting this location because I genuinely enjoy the restaurant. Hopefully this was just an off day, and things will be back to their usual high standard next time.

The menu was clubhouse fare, nothing too fancy, which was fine. We shared a Caesar salad, which they split for us into two bowls. The bowls were high sided like soup bowls. Not ideal but it was fine. I really liked the cornbread croutons, and I'm usually not a crouton eater. For my meal I got a cheeseburger with upgraded sweet potato waffle fries. I think my daughter got a grilled chicken burger, I can't recall. Service was great as we were the only people in the restaurant for a while. We tried the Whiskey-Soy BBQ wings and the sauce was just delectable and the wings nicely-sized. We tried the garlic knots and they were savory and practically melted in your mouth. And we tried the pizza and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and it's well worth the wait. So where do we lose stars? The other consistency is that the service is terrible. Often times there's no one positioned anywhere near the restaurant and you have to go find someone to get the ball rolling (i.e. drinks, silverware, menus). The first time, they explained that they had just opened and a lot of the staff had walked out - ok fine. The second time, there was no staff except the bar tenders so the bartender was out server and she was at the bar 90% of the time and at our table to take orders, drop off food and drop off the check -- other than that we didn't see her. No refills. No follow-up after the food was dropped off to see if everything looked and tasted okay, etc. My friend didn't even want to tip the server, but we've both worked in food services so after some back and forward exchange I was able to convince her to leave a decent amount. Lastly, I wish there was some consistency across the different restaurants inside of Embassy locations. I frequent the one over on the other side of town frequently and that one has a rewards program for frequent diners, yet that rewards program is only valid at that location, which seems weird. If every Embassy has a restaurant, why not just have a universal Embassy Diner's Club kind of thing, why is it that one location offers rewards and the others don't? Or maybe the solution is Hilton Honors club discounts -- I have that as well and if you're not staying in the hotel or trying to use the WiFi in the lobby it seems useless (which its worth noting in some locations even using this the WiFi doesn't connect because you can't get past the captive portal screen not loading).
