Had the pleasure of swinging by this spot after a trip to the Petersen Museum with my family. Didn't know where to eat at first, but pizza sounded good so we thought we'd give it a try. First of all, given the other establishments on the ends of this given block, I absolutely loved that this was nestled in the middle. IYKYK. My family and I were lucky enough to find a parking spot on one of the residential streets, and it took no more than 3 minutes to get to this pizzeria. Upon walking in you are greeted with floor to ceiling decor that mainly consisted of pictures and posters of movies, bands, concerts, etc. It definitely has its own aesthetic and we were all for it. There were only a handful to tables, but we managed to get one close to the register and even got to play some board games that were laying around while we waited. The gentleman that greeted us, took our order, and prepared our pizza, was such a kind soul. He answered all my questions, and helped me with some modifications that I needed for my little ones. For smaller establishments, I think it's super important to know the type of staff you employ, and he was definitely an amazing hire. I wish I got his name. Now the food. We knew we needed just a plain Jane extra cheesy Alfredo, and that's exactly what we got. (This was the mod I asked for). The boys enjoyed it, and we did too. There was no razzle dazzle to it, but boy oh boy it hit the spot. My husband and I couldn't figure out what kind of pizza we wanted so we went ahead and just customized one, and it was perfect. The crust had a great crunch to it, and they did not skimp out on the toppings. Super flavorful, too. All in all, we'd rate Bobby's an 8/10. Solid spot, solid service, and solid food. I do a lot of late-night DoorDash pickups, so I understand things can get hectic--but this experience was frustrating. The employee I dealt with was rude and dismissive from the start, and it really felt like because I was a driver, I wasn't worth basic courtesy. While waiting on an order, I politely asked for a Coke. He snapped back saying he was "super busy" and I'd have to wait. I said no problem--but then watched him do everything else except grab the drink, even as the order was being finished. Only once the food was ready to go did he ask, "do you still want that Coke?" At that point, it just felt intentional and disrespectful. I get that late nights are stressful, but there's no reason to treat drivers like they don't matter. We're representing your business just as much as anyone else picking up food. A little professionalism would go a long way. read more

I ordered my food late night around 330 am and to make the story short they closed the shop before the uber driver arrived. I had to beg uber to give me a full refund going through hell and wasting my precious time. I'm not going to say anything rude even though I wish I could but that will only get my review flagged and that's not going to happen. If you're looking for some late night food this is the place to go! They open till 4am great for after events/concerts in LA. They don't have that much seating but it's a very unique place. There's interesting interior decor and it's a vibe. As for food options they have a variety of food but their pizza is most popular and well known. We got the 1/2 and 1/2 pizza and it was delicious. You can choose 1/2 which is great to share and try different flavors. The guy that worked there was also super nice and attentive even when he was the only working there and food was really fast and good. Definitely will return when I'm in this area again! read more

Best NY Pizzeria in LA! Long flat charcoal oven bottom with extra crispy crust. Sauce not sweet just right. Pepperoni and sausage not too salty and the sausage is ground not huge slices that you can't even bite into. I came here cuz I was looking for a quick bkfast place to eat since I came to La la land for coffee and was running errands. Turns out they sell bkfast too. The ambience is really nice gives me pizza and chill vibes, the workers have great customer service. The bkfast was pretty good and the pizza was delicious. I like how the bread is thin but so crispy. The ingredients were pretty fresh and I saw them make it as I ordered. Improved and the crust is now very good. I do like the sauce and it's flavorful. I love the ambience here as well. I enjoy classic rock tunes. All the concert pictures on the wall. My favorite slice is the Margarita and Hawaiian. The Meatball parmesan sub is delicious as well. They recently added some games to the tables. Seriously big slice and so good! Very much like NY pizza and you fold it in half easily to feel like you are taking 2 slices a pop. It is pricey for a slice but if a small eater and craving some pizza, one slice is good enough! It comes out piping hot and pretty fast too. Quick service and very dive bar type vibe inside. Honestly, props to whoever chose the music for this place (great taste). The location itself is super cozy and very cute. That being said, I wouldn't come back here, even if it was the only place open in the area. We ordered a large pizza, and the guy who took our order was curt and standoffish. He told us it would be a 30 minute wait, but it ended up being roughly 50 minutes. That would've been fine if the pizza was good, but it was so burnt it tasted like charcoal (and I usually enjoy thin, crunchy crust pizza). Prices are high, but so is everything else in this area, so I'm not holding that against them at all.. it's the quality and service that just wasn't worth it. Maybe it was just an off night for the person working, but given all the other great reviews, my experience felt out of place. read more

I really wanted to like this pizza. From the pictures, it looks amazing, and I love that they bring the toppings all the way to the edge. I'm not a fan of big, empty crusts. But unfortunately, that's where it ended for me. The overall flavor just didn't land. My wife thought it tasted a bit sour, and I agree, I think the sauce is what threw it off. There's also quite a lot of it, which made the cheese slide right off my slice. The crust itself is actually good, and the concept has a lot of potential. The cheese was just okay. For LA, where the pizza scene is pretty competitive, this one didn't stand out for me. That said, I think they could be much better with a few tweaks to the recipe. read more

Ordered Chicken Alfredo to go. The pasta, the sauce, and the chicken all had zero taste, like absolutely none at all. There's little to no sauce and the "added chicken" is just two cut up chicken tenders out of the fryer thrown on top, way overcooked of course. One single piece of broccoli, and eightish little baby mushrooms. Most places cook the chicken in the sauce so that it has more than 0% flavor, but not here. Chicken tender Alfredo is three stars if perfected, so I can't see anything more than one star for it being done really poorly. Will also add that the picture online shows 3 garlic knots with the Alfredo, none come with it. I feel like that's deceiving, but also put an option to pay for some or something because it was impossible to eat that without anything to break it up and hopefully add some flavor. I don't like it, but I have no problem paying $22 for food. I do have a problem paying $22 for really really bad food. read more

I walked in and the rock n roll nostalgia is thick. Off the bat I was hit with the atmosphere of the place, as rock played in the background of the setup. Apparently they are open until 4am which is great to know because they also serve coffee. I like a good Sicilian pizza every now and then, and they had it. The problem with most places for Sicilian pizzas is that they over cook it. This is more like the mix between a deep dish pizza and a Sicilian, So the toppings, sauce and cheese compliment rather than make the crust soggy. The cheese , sauce and oregano sprinkle made it so I didnt have to add peppers or parmesan on the pizza. It had a really good mix of flavor all on its own. I'm gonna name this my favorite place to go for Sicilian pizza. The people working here are really nice and the owner... not really what I was expecting for an owner , very cool people. I'm actively recovering from choking on red pepper flakes 'cause I put TOO many on my slice and ate TOO fast. Haha. I'm always coming in late for a slice and Hector always has my back! For real. Today solidified that. I called in for a vegan slice with pepperoni + sausage and a little more cheese on top to lock it in (all vegan ofc). I forgot to ask that it's crisped a little longer, and when i showed up, Hector read my mind! This was my favorite slice & visit so far. He also stated the prices on slices of pizza are half off on thursdays!! Rude Cashier/Chef ... I came here for my third time and found it gets worse each time I come apparently. I actually wasn't going to return because the pepperoni last time just wasn't up to par but my girlfriend wanted mozzarella sticks. Anyway I walked in to order and the larger guy was making pizza then yelled at me from across the room something like "what do you want!".. I clearly wasn't just going to yell my entire order at him so I waited for him to take my order like a decent person near the register. He messed around with some pizza toppings to waste more time and then started yelling more nonsense at me from across the room. Finally he yells "WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU" multiple times and I said "NOTHING" then walked out. I'm not sure how this clown is employed maybe he's new... hopefully he isn't Bobby himself because that would be quite a tragedy. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who talked about the restaurant. He was so nice that I decided to drop by with my husband. The one who was working the register provided mediocre service. However, he was the only one working. The establishment is small, but the atmosphere was nice. Music was playing in the background, but not too loud as you could still hear your company. They provide a bunch of toppings, which included hot sauce, honey, and more. The fact that they had a bunch of different toppings was a nice touch. The pizza is quite huge and crispy.
