Love this place- there aren't many places left like this- solid pasta dishes that comes with a side salad and garlic bread; they give you pasta and sauce options, and then you can add protein and/or other goodies. The staff is lovely and helpful, as well. It's a warm and cozy vibe in the heart of L.A. They have been in business for a long time, and are still under the original ownership. Fantastic in every way! When you first walk in, it's like an old classic Italian joint in New York. Not spacious at all, but very comfortable still. Cozy booth seating and fabulous photographs and empty wine bottles everywhere. Fun eye candy! I can see why it's been around since 1977. I was seated right away and started with some lovely red wine then had their Caesar salad with light dressing and it was cold crispy and tasty. Then I had their meatballs because I'd read the reviews and everyone recommended them and they were not wrong! Melt in your mouth flavorful, and the marinara sauce was perfection. I should've ordered more to go! Then I had the chicken Parmesan entrée and everything about it was very tasty and flavorful and moist, but I don't like the marinara sauce on every portion of the dish because it makes the whole breaded portion of the meal soggy. I like a little texture and crunch in my chicken Parmesan. Still very tasty. Massa what's my server and he took excellent care of me. Very attentive and speedy and made my visit very enjoyable. Last night was me and my girlfriends last night to have dinner alone together, as our trip is coming to an end... obviously there are almost infinite possibilities regarding restaurants in the Hollywood area, so we had to narrow down our choices. Eventually we ended on pizza. Specifically, pizza from Raffallo's Pizza. It did not disappoint. To start, when you walk into Raffallo's, it's like you stepped into an old classic pizza joint! It was fun! It had to much character to it; with pictures all over the walls, wine bottles everywhere, the seating booths were fun, etc... The service here was also efficient and quick! We were immediately given a table to sit at, which was great and our waiter was also excellent! He was really friendly and made us feel welcome which was a nice feeling. Also, soon after we got there, there was a group of, what seemed to be regulars, or people that just know the owners, that came in. Witnessing friendliness among peers and community is always validating feat, in my opinion. Anyway, me and my girlfriend were a little indecisive on what to get. Meaning sharing an appetizer and/or a pizza. Long story short, we ended up sharing an appetizer of house made meatballs and a medium (12inch) thick crust meat lovers pizza. We went with the meatballs as an appetizer because other reviews were recommending the meatballs too. We couldn't have agreed more! The meatballs were excellent! They were moist, and spongy and the sauce was really tasty too! Then regarding the meat lovers pizza, it was really tasty too! Actually, something I observed is the crust sort of tasted like pastry dough too! It tasted subtly sweet to me. With that sweet pizza crust, I think Raffallo's could make a nice dessert pizza! To get back to the point, the menu isn't that big which is good, so not too many options to overwhelm you. The restaurant is also in a little plaza so parking is very easy; you don't have to pay. (Besides for your food, lol). The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was on point. I just wish they had dessert pizzas... maybe in the future! read more

We ordered from here to go and it was better than expected. We got two build your own pizzas, one with half ham and onion and pepperoni and one small garlic, basil, tomato. All I got to say is the small pizza is a personal size pizza. So bear that in mind if you get a small. Pizza was good, it's not gourmet or anything special, but good. This is the first time ever I'm doing this, but I'm currently enjoying this meal as I type this review. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken (my second time ordering this in two weeks) and the Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich. I doubt I'll finish both of them in one sitting, but even if I don't, I get to savor them again tomorrow. Can't beat a win-win situation like this one! The order came with a side salad and garlic bread along with parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers, too. I started with a bite of the Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich. It was toasty, gooey, smooth and hit the spot immediately. In between bites, I would take additional bites of the salad and eventually ended up finishing this side dish. I only ate half of the sandwich before I took a long break and began with the Fettuccine Alfredo. This next dish is a favorite of mine and though I only ate half of it tonight, I still appreciated every bit of it. I would occasionally have a bit of garlic bread to go with a forkful of fettuccine and the variety was stupendous! For starters we got an order (2) of Garlic Breads, an order (1) of Garlic Bread w/ Cheese, & 6 traditional styled buffalo wings ($12) which were really soft & tender & juicy. The buffalo sauce was delicious & it all tasted so well. For the entrees we orders Spaghetti & Meatballs ($17), Cheese Ravioli ($18.00), & a Half & Half Medium Hawaiian + Supreme Pizza ($24.50). The spaghetti & meatballs were absolutely amazing especially the meatballs. Juicy & extremely flavorful. The Ravioli was exceptional, especially with the chicken that was seasoned perfectly & was soft to bite into. The Pizza was absolutely delicious especially with a side of the Marinara Sauce for dipping your pizza into. My first Raffallo's Pizza I bought in 1988. They used to have a location on Fountain Ave and Vermont, in East Hollywood. This is the greatest tastiest pizza ever, I would say very luxurious and generous on toppings, you can feel and taste the cheese and sauce and meats and veggies. Two thumbs up, a pizza to die for. Went to Raffallo's to get a pie as I was on my way to a friends place, and bumped into another friend also getting a sub, small world but it's the local non dominos/pizza hut pizza spot. Interior is super vintage, from the red leather booths to the wine bottles on the bars, and also the lamp shades which I remember from my grandmas house when I was a kid, this place has some history, which indeed is cool. Service was friendly, the guy took the order and I got a Large Pepperoni for 20ish dollars, plus tax, and in honesty I was dissapointed with the size. I felt like you could have gotten a few more slices for what they call a "large" pie. The pizza itself is heavy, the cheese ways it down way too much, insanely greasy, and the crust tastes like sawdust. So. Overall I'd have to say this pizza. Is not good pizza. Giving it two stars since the service was fine. We're here visiting from NY and stopped in for food and drinks. We ordered the Alfredo and it was deffinetly microwaved. The sauce was like soup and burned on the edges. Very bland and unedible. The beer was also flat. Was very disappointed. It was a $22 dish so I thought it would be pretty decent but very poorly made. Meatball sub we also got was poorly made, the meatballs tasted okay but were cut in half instead of a whole which made it more of a flatbread instead of a sandwich. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon HANGRY and ready to eat. Upon entering we were greeted and seated at a cute booth in the middle of the restaurant. My sister and I ordered the Veal Parmesan entree that came with garlic toast & a small tossed salad. The waiter was a cool guy that referred to us as "las señoritas" and answered all of the questions we had without getting annoyed. We decided to also order a personal pepperoni pizza and some mozzarella sticks to share. Waiting time was probably 10-12 mins. Overall experience was a 8 out of 10. My husband and I visited Raffallo's Pizza on La Brea for the first time this evening, and it's decked out for the holidays! The Christmas lights were calling our names when we were walking by, so we had to step inside to check it out. The service was great. We enjoyed our meat lover's pizza. Most notably, we loved the holiday lights and decorations; it felt like we were in a cozy bar or restaurant in New York City. Plus, there were tons of Christmas albums in the jukebox to choose from. If you're looking for a cute dinner out to feel festive during the holiday season, this is totally a hidden gem. We'll be back in the future, for sure. read more
