Was super hungry on the Hollywood strip at midnight and tried to go to another restaurant that said it would be open but ended up closed. Across the street we found Joe's pizza, with delicious smells and a full house even so late at night. It's your typical pizza joint atmosphere, a window showing all of the different pie options, the counter and the oven right behind it They had lots of options for pizza, I actually think that I chose the wrong one, the grandma life because it clearly didn't have a lot of cheese on it and I ended up thinking. I wished it had more cheese. My friend had a pepperoni slice, but all the slices looks pretty good. In my opinion, the looks were better than the taste, they weren't fat just a little bit underwhelming. Still a good spot for a late night slice, the prices are cheap and you know what you're getting.

Get a quick slice on the blvd at Joes Pizza! This is a simple quick service spot to get you in and out fast to enjoy your day. Loved the 2 slice including a free soda combo. They have yummy thin crust New York style pizza and even Sicilian style. For all the whining babies complaining "it's not really New York pizza" ummmm wake up, your in LA losers why are you complaining? If you know a single thing about New York food and pizza it's in the water as they say. It's different cuz you're in LA. Eat your slice and shut yer pie hole! They also have pasta, garlic's knots and a few more options. Guys here were super nice and helpful. We LOVED our pizza!

There are only two good pizza spots in Hollywood: this place and The Elbow Room. That's it. If you're a tourist--and if you're reading this, you probably are--don't waste your time with the other spots. They're trash. Joe's is exactly what you want in a no-frills NYC slice joint. Loud, cramped, and unpredictable--you'll either walk into a dead room or a slammed one, with either one guy holding it down or a full crew working. The pizza? Solid. Classic New York-style slices, plus those fat Sicilian slices and some solid garlic knots. The menu lists sandwiches and calzones, but I've never seen anyone order or eat those. I even asked for a calzone a few years back and got, "we don't do that here." Stick to the slices, enjoy the chaos, and appreciate the fact they're open till around 2 a.m.--which in Hollywood is clutch.

Not the same as in NY but Joe's pizza post-midnight delivered is Joe's pizza post-midnight delivered. Fast delivery & good prices

Just went again recently! The caprese pizza is always the best option. They were quick with our pizza and it was hot. Inside was busy but they were fast. It's pretty much a stop and go type of vibe.

Joes Pizza is pretty in the middle of the road when it comes to by the slice pizza. It's a thin, crispy New York style slice with a sweet sauce and the right amount of cheese. It's sometimes hard to find pizza by the slice in LA, so this is a good reliable go to as they have other locations, but as someone from the northeast, it's pretty painfully expensive for what you get. It's hard for me to justify more than a couple slices but it does do the job to fill the pizza craving every now and again. The service is always good, fast and easy, and they've always had the slice I wanted ready to put in the oven to heat up. I'm sure I'll be back!

Was staying at a hotel nearby and just happened to walk in here around 9 PM on a Monday night. The BBQ chicken pizza looked fresh out of the oven. The guys that work here are very nice. Of course it's in a really sketchy area on Hollywood Blvd. (there's a giant homeless shelter 1 block away just south of Hollywood Blvd. on Schrader Blvd.) but inside this pizza place it's great. Fast service. It's really clean. They have a nice counter with high chairs and about three or four regular tables in the back. Try the barbecue chicken pizza ....it's fantastic. About $5 a slice.

Great NY pizza! Slut, large beautifully crafted slice of pizza. Fresh chicken, proper amount of barbecue sauce, good crust. Good crunch to it. It comes at a New York price though

I have to admit anywhere you can order a pepperoni and sausage slice that comes in the size of the small pan. Pizza is wonderful. The indoor seating was perfect. I got to watch metal mania from the 1980s lol I washed it down with a Mexican Coke I absolutely loved it. It was only $14 total for both items

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

Initially we were going to…read moretry De La Nonna, but they were closed for a special event and we didn't know when we showed up. In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Food: - Sicilian: THIS was the winner of the evening! The sauce, mozz, ricotta, and pesto all came together to make a really tasty bite. I've had this same pizza at several other spots in LA, but Prime Pizza really executed it well here. Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part.
