Vegetarian pizza.
Mary B.

I'm having a late lunch today, and I don't know why I'm too lazy to walk an extra 5 minutes for Joe's Pizza! I need to get motivated for a slice of heaven! I've been here a gazillion times, and always recieve the best service and excellent pizza! Today I'm having the vegetarian pizza and I'm contemplating on getting another slice.

I think they do NY style pizza pretty decently here. The pizza slices I tried here had a good crispy texture. Between the pepperoni slice, cheese slice, and white slice I liked the pepperoni slice and cheese slice the most.

Joe's is like a late night staple if you're out in Hollywood. I've gone here for many years after going to events or going out dancing and drinking with friends. I've tried several types of their pizza and their White Pizza will always be #1. The way the ricotta melts in my mouth always with the other cheeses is just so delicious. I paid about $10.75 for 2 slices. The quality is the pizza isn't the very best I've had but the pizza still hits on a late night and that's your craving. The ambiance is your casual pizza palor. Nothing more nothing less. They have seating against the wall with stools and always several tables with chairs toward the back. It can be hard to secure seating, so just note that. The service was average. Not bad not stellar. The only thing I wish was different is that the pizza was hotter. It was luke warm when it was given to me and I was really looking forward to very melty cheese.

Last night I ate pizza here with Comedy Store regulars Shane Bianchi and Cooper Lyden. Night of my life. Just gonna say it. NIGHT OF MY LIFE. Reload (male club down the street) doesn't hold a candle to Joe's Pizza. There's something about sharing a pizza pie with your best buds, you know? Watching Cooper and Shane go down on the same calzone. I had no idea two guys could eat the same calzone... UNTIL LAST NIGHT. After Cooper and Shane licked the calzone clean, they both went to the single stall bathroom together. I yelled out from the table, "Hey Cooper! Shane! That toilet seats one person only !" And Cooper Lyden looks at me and goes, "seats 2 tonight!" Hahahahahaha. Seats 2. Can you believe this guy? What a riot. FIVE STARS. My wife gets ONE STAR.

I was I this restaurant a few weeks ago. Nobody who was working here was wearing gloves. I sent a review into Yelp. The next day I got a message from the owner. He apologized to me and told me he will fix the problem. I am here today and nobody is wearing gloves. The guy who is making the pizza is not wearing gloves. The food is very good here. But the employees prepare all the food without gloves.

Besttttt pizzzaaaa in WeHo! This place is our go to after a long night of having fun in WeHo. They are open pretty late. My favorite one is their pepperoni, it's perfect. Their white pizza is a bit tasteless. The only downside of this place is their longgggggg preparation time.

Supposed to be pepperoni pizza , half sausage and extra cheese on right side. Does it look like there's pepperoni ???!!

Nasty! Gnarly! How can Portnoy give this a good score !??? Ordered pepperoni pizza for delivery. On right side sausage and extra cheese. I didn't receive the right order! It was just sausage on the right side. Where's the pepperoni? Ordered extra cheese on right side, but it didn't look like anything was extra. The pizza came out cold, part of the dough base was soggy and exposed . Floppy. Flimsy. And the cheese sauce barrier intermingled in a very bad way.

I'm born and raised in NYC and when I spotted a pizza place claiming to be NY style I decided to give it a try.... Usually I'm very disappointed ... I've been to every state and I'm partial to my areas pizza but Joes did not disappoint... if my eyes were closed, I would think I was home Def worth a try if ur in the mood for a simple NY slice ... The cookie was very big and very good, the two most important qualities in a cookie. Nobody wants to eat a tiny cookie baked for a leprechaun. The five stars are for the cookie and for the person who helped me. The computer screen you have to use to order gets a negative five stars. Although I could see the white chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookies in the case the computer screen said they were sold out. I then spoke with an actual human being who got the cookie for me. I do not like ordering from a computer screen even when the computer screens do work correctly. Only possible downside to the cookies at Chill Since '93 is ladies who eat too many of the cookies may not be able to shop at Brandy Melville after eating the cookies.

It's right next to Brandy Melville, and I definitely associate this spot with the shop. The service is unremarkable. The pizza is quite delicious, with plenty of toppings. The margherita slice was solid - I really enjoyed the fresh mozzarella and savory tomato sauce. It's pretty expensive for a slice of pizza, but the slice is substantial. I also tried the red velvet cookie, which was a skip. It looked really promising, but it was unfortunately dry and cold. It was a good lunch experience, perfect for a shopping break.

My first experience (a Friday night pizza order) wasn't great, so I figured maybe it was just an off night. This time around, we ordered lemon pepper wings, garlic knots, and a half-and-half square pizza: pepperoni on one side and meat lovers on the other. The lemon pepper wings were the standout, really flavorful and easily my favorite part of the order. Not too greasy at all. The pizza was a big improvement too. The crust edges weren't burnt to a crisp and everything tasted fresh and well put together. That said, I wasn't a fan of the sausage on the meat lovers side, so I'd probably skip that next time. One thing I really appreciated was how accurate their pickup timing was. I showed up exactly when the order was supposed to be ready, and it actually was, no waiting around. Overall, they definitely redeemed themselves. I'd come back again and I'm glad I gave them another chance.

I decided to go back and give it a try and the pizza was pretty good, service was a lot better. I got the Vodka Slice and the pepperoni slice. Let me tell you these two slices taste completely different. Almost taste like they came from two different pizza shops. Which is good, that the can diversify, but at the same time if you order wrong, you might be dissapointed. Vodka Slice - Wow, amazing. SOOO much flavor, a lot going on, and just the right crispy to softness ratio. A slight spice to the sauce. They put a lot of care into this version of a pizza. Pepperoni - It was a fine NY slice of pepperoni pizza. Not too bland, but also not really "wow". It was very salty. Actually, both of them were quite salty, as I needed to drink a lot of water the rest of the day. It took 30 minutes of waiting for the slices, and they said it would be 2+ hours if I wanted a whole pizza. Is it good pizza? Yes. Is it worth waiting that long for? Maybe if you like to try new things. There are some places that are very close (and one place which is better) with much less of a wait time. The Vodka pizza here though is top tier!!!

I wanna try the other types of pizza they have! The Service: Staff taking our order was very friendly and answered any questions we had. This is a counter restaurant so you would walk in and order at the counter and they would serve your food. The Food: We ordered the supreme pizza which can feed 4 people (2 slices per person) which I feel like it was pretty accurate unless someone is super hungry. The supreme pizza was amazing - it was filled with so many toppings but not too many where it made the pizza soggy. The pizza is made fresh - we saw the person in the back making our pizza when we ordered it - and it didn't take long either. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy and it held the sauce well. It was very well balanced. Price: $30 ish per pizza; about $5 a slice. I think it's super reasonable for the quality of pizza that you get. I would definitely pay this price for this pizza. The Atmosphere: Counter restaurant with some seating - not recommended if you have a large group since space is limited. Parking: Street parking only. Recommend you come early to allot for time to park.

I politely showed her my reservation which clearly said Dining Room (why even give customers the option if you're not going to seat them properly?) and she acted annoyed/put out. We had to wait an additional 25+ minutes for a table that we had reserved from the start. Finally around 9PM we are seated-- quickly we order two pastas and a pizza. We're told by the server that everything comes out once it's ready and I'm not exaggerating maybe 1-2 minutes later our pastas arrive at the table. A little strange, but whatever. We eat, enjoy the kind-of cold pasta (I believe this was a mess-up order or another table's, hence the speed and lack of warmth) and wait for our pizza. 20 minutes go by.... we finish our pasta. Still no pizza. We'd ordered a very simple white pizza. All around us other tables were getting their pizzas even though they ordered after us. I asked the server (who barely came to check on us throughout) what was going on and thrice she promised it was 'coming out of the oven.' They'd clearly forgotten our pizza, and I just wish they'd have been honest about that. Around 9:30PM, an HOUR after our reservation, we finally get the pizza. By this point I'm honestly ready to go-- especially because next to us are people who were sat and served INSTANTLY apparently because they know someone who works there. As an apology our server offered us free soft serve. While a nice gesture, the soft serve was given to us in the shittiest paper cups and it made a complete mess. We were not offered a price reduction or anything else, and didn't get out until after 10PM. This was the worst dining experience I've had in LA for years. Maybe ever. I kept trying to give the place the benefit of the doubt, but at every turn this was disappointing. The food is NOWHERE NEAR worth the annoyance you'll feel just getting through the reservation.

I had a craving for Esco's pizza (a telltale sign that Esco's has now occupied my brain more than the neighboring pizzerias) so I popped in on a Sunday and found that they had slices of oxtail pizza. I immediately ordered it. They also had jerk chicken pizza and a chicken pesto pizza. After talking to the woman behind the counter, I decided to order pesto pizza, since she recommended it and it was the best decision! The chicken pesto pizza is so flavorful. Chicken pieces were cooked tender, not dry and it was fully marinated in the pesto. Great fresh tastes of basil, Parmesan cheese and the pine nuts, one slice was enough to be a satisfying meal. Buuut, I didn't in this case, because I still had the oxtail! The beef was tender with a slight crispy edge and was served generously on the slice. Jalapeno slices add just the right amount of heat. It comes with a a side of consomme where you can dip your pizza. I would definitely come back for both slices. People from Esco's are mad friendly and hospitable which is a huge pull for me.
