Nothing more nothing less. They have seating against the wall with stools and always several tables with chairs toward the back. It can be hard to secure seating, so just note that. Yum! This is a great neighborhood pizza place. They always have 4 or 5 fresh pizzas by the slice or you can order a whole pie. They also make salads, calzones, pasta and sandwiches. Service is fast and polite, with a smile. Inside there is a TV playing the news, a few tables and some counter seating by the window. Outside there is a really nice quiet area with umbrellas and even some birds of paradise blooming! So pretty. Today I tried the barbecue chicken pizza and the caprese pizza by the slice. The bbq pizza was nice and flavorful, not too sweet. The caprese was good with lots of fresh basil and a delicious fresh marinara tomato sauce, but the mozzarella on top today was a bit rubbery in texture. The pizza crust is fantastic. On the outside terrace they had blooming birds of paradise plants, which is so nice for a mini mall. I went into Joe's Pizza for a quick slice, but the experience was anything but smooth. Upon entering, there was no one at the register or in sight. I literally had to walk to the back to get someone's attention just to get some service. When I finally did, the guy who helped me had to swat away flies from the pizza before tossing it in the oven--definitely not appetizing. I paid $5.51 for a slice, which didn't seem too bad at first, but once I tasted it, I realized it wasn't even worth 10 cents. The pizza came out burnt and inedible (as pictured). Placed an order on UBER eats for. Grandma Pie, 2 slices with everything, 1 white slice and garlic knots. Delivery came missing the entire grandma pie while 2 of the garlic knots were missing. Contacted UBER eats and got some of the money back. Called up and spoke with someone at Joes who told us he had the pizza and we could come and pick it up. I've noticed this place while coming to this shopping center, but never visited until a couple days ago because a client who lived in New York City said that this is just like the famous Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village. I visited Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village two years ago which some say is the best slice of pizza in New York. My client told me that the owner's son(s) operate a Joe's Pizza (in Park Slope). After some digging it looks like this is a knock off of the original Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village. This one in LA copied the logo, but probably due to problems with the Joe's in Greenwich Village, the logo looks different at their Park Slope location. A blogger wrote that this knock off location in Park Slope is as good as the original Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village maybe because the owner of this copycat used to make pizza there. If this is true, you are getting the famous Joe's Pizza in Los Angeles. Even if it is a knock off, eating a cheese slice will take you back to New York City if you've tasted it. If you choose to go authentic, you'll want to get the plain cheese slice. There's 7 locations around LA, but I am not sure if the quality is the same at the other locations because the owner lives nearby this location in West Hollywood. Strange that the owner is too lazy to change the name of their pizza restaurants and make it their own.
