MADELA is absolutely incredible. The flavors in both the pizza and pasta are next level -- some beautifully unique, others perfectly traditional -- and everything is done to perfection. The forest pasta is one of my favorites: slightly sweet, rich, and perfectly balanced. The spicy pink sauce pasta is another standout with just the right amount of heat and the most delicious pink sauce flavor. The pizzas are phenomenal -- crunchy yet soft, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The fungi pizza is a must. And now they have breakfast, which is truly out of this world. The green and red shakshuka is absolutely phenomenal, especially with the house-made yogurt served on the side -- you can really taste the freshness and care that goes into it. The truffle mushroom egg toast is one of a kind. You truly can't go wrong with anything you order here. Everything is fresh, thoughtful, and unbelievably delicious -- and you would never guess that it's glatt kosher. MADELA is a must-visit and a place I'll keep coming back to. Hats off the the chef for preparing and cooking the food right in front of you and excellent customer service.

RIZO PIZZA. Good! Sweet and savory!

Pretty good for kosher style pizza (think it's kosher , but might just be style). Check out pizza station too. Ordered the rizo pizza: Pink sauce based, soy chorizo, shredded mozzarella, honey drip. Savory and sweet. Good undercarriage . If you like a more thick and doughy bread pizza, you will really enjoy this one.

Dairy (Chalov Yisrael) kosher pizzeria meaning they don't sell meat. They sell pizza, pasta, and salads. It's nice to see a kosher pizza place that has gourmet style offerings. Gluten free crust is available. Pronounced "Made-LA". As in, "made in Los Angeles". First off, I want to start with the presentation. I ordered my food to-go and the presentation of the food was so impressive. The pizza came in a beautiful blue pizza box with their logo and the pastas and salad came in lovely blue cartons reminiscent of ice cream containers. It was just so pleasurable to receive my food in such beautiful boxes. It was like opening a gift for dinner. When it came to food, there were some hits and some misses. We ordered a few different pizzas. All pizzas are individual sizes. They are cut into 4 generous pieces. We got the za'atar, marinara, and sweet potato. I did not care for the za'atar pizza. Zaatar is a Mediterranean spice blend. To me it was more of a cracker than a pizza. I'm not even sure if it had cheese. It came with a side of some really spicy red dipping sauce. It was overpowering and very messy. Would not order again. I enjoyed the marinara pizza. It was simple but classic. One of my guests likes plain pizza with no toppings so I'm glad they had this option. All their pizzas are a little different than I'm used to with a floppy, thin crust but I enjoyed it! The winner for best pizza of the night was the sweet potato pizza. WOW!! I've never had a pizza like this. I love this flavor combination. It had pink sauce, mozzerella, sweet potatoes, goat cheese, thyme, carmelized onions, and a drizzle of honey. This pizza was perfection. Salty and sweet, crunchy and soft. I would definitely come back and order this pizza again. My fave pizza toppings to date! We ordered three pastas of which I only tasted two. The person who likes plain food ordered the marinara pasta and enjoyed it! I tasted the beet pasta with gnocchi and the black forest with linguine. It was odd because it was like two different chefs created my pastas. The beet pasta was beautiful looking but it was incredibly salty. Now, I'm not someone who is anti-salt but something was amiss here. The saltiness overpowered the sweet taste of the beet sauce. On the other hand, the black forest pasta was just superb. What a flavor combination! Cream terriyaki, cherry tomatoes, red onion, mushroom, and thyme. We had it with linguine. A very flavorful dish and everything cooked just right. Such unique flavors! Would order again. We ordered a ceasar salad which was a nice complement to our meal. It did not have croutons but instead had bread crumbs on top which I felt was a nice change. It had a bit of a garlic kick to the dressing which I enjoyed. Overall, I like the concept of this place. The kosher scene really needed a place with some more sophistication and this place delivers. However, I hope they become more consistent with the meal prep. This place has real potential to be a winner for the community. I would definitely come back for that sweet potato pizza and the black forest pasta.

Calming and comforting atmosphere, with the chef working calmly and beautifully in open kitchen. Food presentation is excellent, as is the taste of the food too! Service was so incredibly kind and accommodating

THE FOOD WAS MOUTHWATERING! WE COULD NOT GET ENOUGH. Especially popular were the forest mushroom pasta, tomato/mozzarella salad, beet pasta, sweet potato dishes, and gorgeous pizzas. I heard great reviews and, honestly, the reality exceeded everyone's expectations. NOTE - this is a Kosher dairy establishment, so there are no meat products. For the people confused by this - the restaurant is within walking distance of many Jewish synagogues and residential areas - and it's wonderful to have a Kosher place between La Brea and Pico! THANK YOU TO MADELA - your delightful restaurant was the perfect venue to celebrate my birthday. We had 18 very happy ladies and were very impressed with the generous and accurate service. MOSHE, and the owner's brother (so sorry I didn't catch your name) treated us with so much kindness and wanted me to feel special! To make sure our large party was feasible on a weeknight, I had called ahead a few times since they don't take reservations, and Kim & Israel on the phone were very excited to welcome us, even though no reservations were possible. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WEEKENDS WOULD PROBABLY BE A LOT BUSIER. Upon arrival, we were touched to see that the restaurant had made some prep by moving tables together on the patio so we could sit down altogether. The little flower boxes lined the patio perimeter and Moshe told me to stack all my gifts under them so my things wouldn't be on the floor. Minor but thoughtful touches really made us feel so accommodated. I strategically chose MadeLA so all my guests from different walks of life could have the privacy of ordering what they felt they could afford without feeling social pressure or worrying about splitting the overall bill, as large parties often require people to overpay or under-eat :p MadeLA's quick and discreet ordering system made it super easy. The prices were fantastic compared to other kosher restaurants I had considered and the portions were satisfying! Please visit this restaurant over and over - their menu is fresh and exciting, and we need amazing venues like this to enrich our city's ambiance! Gd bless!

I'm neither kosher, nor vegan, nor vegetarian, I just love food. The pastas here are delicious and reasonably priced. I really like the kiosks for ordering and you can customize your meal to your hearts desire. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. One day I will have to try the pizzas. So far, every pasta dish has been a hit.

Had takeout from Madela and was so intrigued by the sweet potato pizza that I had to try it. It was delicious. Crust had a crispy exterior, yet was still delightfully chewy. And so much cheese! If I had one critique, I think there could have been a heavier drizzle of the hot honey. But still an absolutely delicious lunch!

We had two newer pizzas - The Zatar and the Eggplant Parmigiana. The latter was packed with a range of outstanding flavors and textures - roasted eggplant, fresh mozzarella, pesto, and of course garlic, marinara sauce, and parmigiana. Looking forward to my next visit so I can get this one again. The zatar (a middle eastern spice) was well done and served with a tomatillo sauce on the side. Delicious. Oh, and the service is super friendly and helpful.

It's a super cute exterior dining area

I was shocked to come here to find a pizza and pasta shop that does not serve meat or cheese. And to my surprise, it's not vegan either. It's a strict kosher restaurant, that is great for Orthodox Jews, not for the vast majority of us. I'm giving them two stars instead of one, because the staff was nice and apologetic. But that's a crazy bad business plan! If you're going to do a Jewish focused pizza shop that is not really a pizza shop, the Pico area seems a perfect place for it. Here, there is only one congregation/school nearby. Also, the interior of the restaurant area smelled heavily of natural gas. As I always try to guide LA restaurant owners, to keep your restaurant around, you need to be smart about your business plan and offerings. Niche restaurants have a super high closer rate in the city. There's enough failed and empty storefronts around town that restauranteurs should get it by now.

Yummmm first bite pic of my fatass eating an entire pizza

Yall. The rizo pizza is legit my new fave pizza. Savory with a little touch of sweetness. Also super cheesy. They also have a few different options for the seasonings. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I am gluten free and they do have vegan and gf options on both pizza and pasta. Came here mid day on impulse cuz I was the park across the street. So glad I did cuz it's bomb affff. Small menu which is a good sign. Decent prices for pizza anyway. Can't wait to come back to try the rest

    Are there any vegan options?

Yes! I stopped by there today and the owner pointed out that there are plenty of vegan options, including vegan cheese for the pizzas. Looks like it all becomes clearer and you can see those choices when you order online.

Can someone please post a menu? Or please address pricing?

My wife and I drove out to Fairfax to eat a specific restaurant, but when we saw "all you can eat…read morepasta" on a sign in this places window, Pasta Amore was the new destination! We came here around 1PM on a Sunday and the place was completely empty. The staff up front checked us in, sat us down, and guided us through the menu so we knew what was going on. The menu here has some chicken wings, sides, and other random things, but the unlimited pasta for $13.99 is what we were interested in checking out. Basically, they have a list of different pastas to choose from and if you want things like chicken or meatballs added, it can be for some extra money. Now, I wasn't about to spoil the $13.99 deal so I figured I was about to crush five or six plates of pasta, but come to find out, I was lying. I started off with a plate of the RIgatoni & Marinara and plate came out on literal fire. The pasta was super fresh and actually tasted really, really, really good. After crushing the first place, my confidence was up so I figured I would give the Smokey Chipotle Penne and it was even better then the first dish. The sauce had a little bit of a kick to it, but the flavour was so good I almost ordered it again.....almost. Come to find out, two plates of pasta was the most I was able to finish and I tapped out. Overall, Pasta Amore was a super fun time and definitely a place I could see returning to in the future. The vibes here were solid, the staff was very friendly, and the pasta wasn't just all you can eat, it was actually pretty good.

The food was just as memorable. The chicken Parmesan was everything you want it to be: crispy, flavorful, and topped with a rich, perfectly balanced marinara and plenty of melted cheese. We'll definitely be back.

We originally…read morewanted to try another restaurant, but it was completely booked, so we looked for somewhere new to explore. Met Him At A Bar seemed like a good option, and one of my girlfriends made a reservation for four. Our reservation was at 7:00 PM. I street-parked and walked to the restaurant, where one of my friends was waiting outside. I asked why she wasn't sitting at our table, and she told me that our table was right by the entrance. She didn't like that spot and thought the tables farther inside looked much more comfortable and cozy. Since people were sitting at one of those tables, she wanted to wait until they left. Personally, I thought the table by the entrance was perfectly fine, but I was also STARVING! Another friend arrived and also disliked the table, so we decided to wait. After a while, I was getting way too hungry, so we sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer and drinks while waiting. I first ordered the Garlic Shrimp and asked if it was spicy. I was told it was, so I asked if they could make it without the spice because I can't eat spicy food. He said he would check with the kitchen, but since I was starving and it sounded like it might take too long, I changed my order to Garlic Bread. One of my girlfriends ordered a glass of wine, and since she had made the reservation and gone through the trouble of arranging everything, I treated her to the wine and garlic bread. Then, of course, our friend who is ALWAYS late arrived about 30 minutes late! By then, the rest of us had already decided what to order from the Dine LA menu. We wanted to try as many dishes as possible, so we ordered different items and shared everything. When our late friend arrived, we ordered his dishes separately. For the first course, we had Caesar Salad, Bruschetta, and Meatballs. For the second course, we ordered Rigatoni Vodka, Cacio e Pepe, and Margherita Pizza. For dessert, everyone ordered Tiramisu. Overall, I thought the food was good. My favorites were the Bruschetta, Meatballs, Rigatoni Vodka, and Tiramisu. The Cacio e Pepe was not my favorite because I thought they used way too much black pepper, and my other friends agreed. Our group had mixed reactions overall. Except for one person, the other two felt the food didn't quite live up to their expectations and were somewhat disappointed. But everyone's taste is different, so I completely understand. Considering how expensive everything has become these days, I thought the Dine LA price was pretty reasonable. It was $45 per person, and with tax and tip, it came to $60 each. For that price, I thought the amount of food and the overall experience were pretty good. I also really appreciated how friendly and attentive all the staff members were. I usually don't drink alcohol, and especially when I'm driving, I NEVER drink--not even a sip. That has been my personal rule for decades. So I just ordered water, and I loved how the staff kept coming by and refilling my glass whenever it got low. I drink a LOT of water, so I really appreciated their attentiveness. Now, about parking: valet parking is $17. I decided to street-park instead. One of my friends also street-parked, but unfortunately she got a parking ticket and was VERY upset. I had originally found a spot where a sign said a parking permit was required, so I decided not to take the risk and moved my car. Before leaving, I asked a man walking his dog if it was okay to park there. He said he had seen many cars parked there and they had been fine, but I still didn't trust it because the sign clearly said permits were required. I told him, "I don't think that's allowed." He was very nice and suggested going about three blocks farther, where there was plenty of street parking without a permit. I followed his advice and parked there. Unfortunately, my friend who stayed in the permit-only spot ended up getting a ticket. Another friend parked in the parking structure across the street and said it cost $18. Since I had parked farther away and didn't want to walk alone at night, I asked him to drop me off at my car after dinner, and he kindly did. So my parking recommendation is to use the $17 valet or street-park about three blocks away where no permit is required. I definitely would NOT recommend parking in the permit-only spaces unless you want to risk getting a ticket. One of the funniest things about this neighborhood is the restaurant names. The restaurant we went to is called "Met Him At A Bar," and literally right across the street is "Met Her At A Bar." There's also another restaurant called "The Night We Met." I have to say, the names are pretty creative and definitely make this neighborhood more fun! Overall, we had a fun evening together, and for $60 per person including tax and tip, I thought it was a pretty decent Dine LA experience.
