Yummy yummy Cheese Chicago's Stuffed Pizza with 3 Ingredients

My husband and I came here for the first time Saturday night after attending a USC vs. Purdue volleyball game. My husband first saw this place a few months back when he was in the area for his motorcycle maintenance and notice a deep dish pizza place. Knowing my love of deep dish pizza, he made a mental note of it and suggested we try it some time. Well, that time finally arrived. We came in and were greeted by the owner? He was giving owner vibes lol very kind and polite. He helped brake down the menu options for the pizzas and which size to go with depending on if we wanted leftovers or not. With that in mind we quickly made our order and patiently waited for the pizza. As we waited we got complimentary bread, which was quite tasty, but the star of the show was the pizza. The whole thing was delicious and I'm glad we went with the medium size so we could have leftovers the next day. The leftovers did not disappoint! I wish we had more lol but that just means we'll have to go back for more in the future :) Lastly, the ingredients we added to our pizza were great (sausage, bacon and spinach), but for me the bacon stole the show! It just had great flavor.

Owner doesn't respond to voice calls, email, messager, social media. All web sites says it's open when it's not. I tracked very far to try this spot and it wasn't open at the hours posted. The best Chicago style I've ever had was just down the street from this one and it unfortunately closed down. And the spot in echo park has become over rated. I was very good the first couple of times and visited. But I guess the got hyped up.

I was excited to have an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza, so I came here and ordered one to dine in. Sausage, mushroom peppers and onions. When it came it was just a saucer of melted cheese and red sauce with barely any toppings to be found. I almost got up and asked if he got my order wrong, then I finally found one tiny piece of sausage. Eventually I uncovered a few more small pieces of toppings like uncooked mushrooms and mediocre sausage. Meanwhile so much congealed cheese and already getting cold. The crust isn't buttery or flakey it's just a New York crust bent into a deep dish pan. Once I gave up, I walked over to the owner and he asked if I wanted a box and I said no I didn't like it and described the above. His reply was simply, "you didn't like it." not a question, no surprise, not I'm sorry, and not even "too bad!", just a totally flat reaction like my thought as a customer barely registered. Did I say this was over fifty bucks?!!! I left and went to my car and actually got really sad and felt sorry for myself for having been fooled this way. I hope you can find something better.

We really enjoyed this place. The deep dish pizza was excellent, we came here on a Saturday night around 10pm and the to go orders were non stop in addition to many other patrons at the restaurant too. One of the owners was working on his own and despite being insanely busy he was super attentive and nice. The place is very casual. We found parking on melrose easily at that time. Definitely recommend!

The service and food was amazing. You can tell it is a genuine Chicago pizza. The food came out hot and fresh. I got a small pepperoni and mozzarella sticks.

Stopped in after a Dodgers game. It is very small inside but wholesome. Lots of Chicago decor. There weren't a whole lot of patrons since it was late on a Saturday night. We were helped by Gio who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gio seems to love what he does. The food was made fresh and came out piping hot. It's also served with fresh parmesan and herbs. I'm not an LA local, but I would definitely go back to this spot.

This is the best deep dish pizza on the map! I've traveled the world and had deep dish from all over. I Highly recommend

A little slice of Chicago found its way to LA. The deep dish pizza was fantastic. We had ours with mushrooms and pepperoni! The crust is truly phenomenal and overall the pizza was really filling (we got a small and only ate about half). Also tried the chicken wings which are hearty and tasty. The inside is decorated with lots of Chicago sports memorabilia and had a casual vibe. Gio, our host/server, was so welcoming and made it a great experience!

I had such a great experience to order to go my stuffed pizza with two toppings. The food was absolutely delicious - the crust was perfectly baked, the sauce had just the right balance of flavor, and the toppings were fresh and generous. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. If you're craving authentic, tasty pizza, is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

Ok ok ok! I believe forgiveness is the greatest thing a human can exercise. I finally tried the pizza. The dude making it was a one man band. Taking orders and making the pies. He was helpful with our decision. The restaurant was cute and lively. Pizza was delicious. I have been missing out! Plenty of street parking. Valet is an option.

The establishment lacked ice and chicken wings. The pizza was over cooked. Customer service was subpar. I wouldn't recommend this location.

First time trying chicago-style pizza, it was soo great. There was a ton of cheese, and I love cheese. Service was top notch, atmosphere is great for a casual date!

Hands down the best deep dish pizza place in all of Los Angeles. Chicago Stuffed Pizza never disappoints and they're always spot on with their pizzas, the owners are great people, and they always serve us with a smile. Every time we walk in through that door we are always greeted with a warm welcome. I come here at least once a week and drive almost 45 minutes to get there because that's how good the pizza is. A five out of five in my book and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to try some Chicago style pizza.

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

I've had this same pizza at several other spots in LA, but Prime Pizza really executed it well here. So well balanced in textures and flavors, and the crust was both nicely crispy on the edges and fluffy in the center! - Spicy Pep: Solid pizza, and we LOVE when pizza places use cuppy pepperoni. It was a bit spicier than expected, so be prepared to *actually* taste the heat when you order this one! Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part.
