There was a day I did. But last two times, and major expense, I had to go another location after Bobby worked on my vehicle. First time was when he changed the condenser in my truck. Didn't put truck back together correctly and had to take truck back to get put together properly. Eventually took to another location to fix what Bobby's could not figure out. Then the engine they put in my son's vehicle. $8000 to find out later they did a bunch wrong and we are redoing the entire engine again. Redoing heads, etc because Bobby's didn't take the attention to detail seriously. And they lost a customer who used to brag on the service Bobby provided. Never again. Save yourselves a ton of frustration and money, pay more somewhere else but get it done correctly........ read more

DO NOT GO HERE, I SHOULD HAVE SUED THEM!!!!! If I could give Bobby's a negative 10, I would!!! BIGGEST DISHONEST RIP OFFS OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!! A couple years ago a friend told me she had been to Bobbys Automotive in Franklin and thought they were honest , AND BOY WAS SHE WRONG!! I took my 2 vehicles (2011 Toyota Sienna and 2008 GM work van) in for minor repairs ( gas gauge not working on GM, plus a tune up and the Toyota was pulling to the right and I wanted the tires rotated and balanced, and an oil change ).$6000. LATER, see bills below, both cars had the check engine lights on and drove horribly!! I now know that this was highway robbery but the worst of it is, me, being a single female and not knowing better ,I paid the bill first, then I showed it to a couple of my male friends . One told me to sue Bobby's in small claims court, and the other told me to stop the credit card payment, and try to get my money back by disputing my bills with my credit card company. When I took the Toyota in to be repaired somewhere else, after Bobby messed it up, the other mechanic told me that my Toyota didn't even have a rear differential,(which Bobby claimed to have replaced) and told me that there were tool marks on the the rear axle, (Which was still the original part) and it looked like someone had tried to unscrew something and had stripped all the screws out of this part, and bent up the bottom, and then just given up and left the old part on (because there was nothing wrong with it) BUT STILL CHARGED ME $1150 for a part they never replaced plus 666.labor. My check engine light was on in both vehicles (neither had a check engine light on before I took them in). The reason I am writing this review today is because I finally got the check engine light off in the GM today, 2 years later, and the great mechanics that finally fixed the GM told me, that Bobbys, apparently, in an attempt to put my van back together after they had messed it up putting the new fuel assembly in, just cut electric lines going to the fuel assembly and that all of the sensors and other things that they charged me over $1000.for, were unnecessary attempts to fix what they broke. I hate writing this horrible review, and had they given me some of my money back I wouldn't have written this, but after finding out that this was all very intentional, I feel like I need to warn other women in particular STAY AWAY read more

I walked in a little frantic, because I didn't want to be stuck with two babies and a car that didn't work. They looked at my car right away, diagnosed it right away, and fixed it right away. I really wanted to like Bobby's Automotive - it was near where I was working at the time, and my mechanic Rhea Little had personally recommended him. Rhea does a fabulous job with our family's cars, and I trust him implicitly and recommend him to everyone I can. Bobby - I would recommend him to people I dislike. My Toyota Camry ended up with a stuck cylinder at 250,000 miles. I chose to go with Bobby's recommendation to rebuild instead of getting a new engine. It was supposed to be cheaper and came with the same warranty. I had no money to spare at this time and Bobby knew it. Bobby kept the car just under a month (which cost me a rental car for 26 days) and charged me right at $4,000, which was the worst case scenario quote ceiling. It was originally supposed to be a hair under $3,000. He was consistently non communicative - I had to call the shop to get updates, I believe he called me back once to initiate the service, and once during those 26 days to give me an update. I had to call him over two dozen times to be told of endless delays. When I gave him the car, the engine made a ticking/knocking noise, it lacked umph (as it was operating down one cylinder), smelled burnt, and it leaked oil like a sieve. Now it is just out of the one year warranty period, and it makes a ticking/knocking noise, lacks umph, smells burnt, and loses about two quarts of oil every 3,000 miles. Twice I brought it back to Bobby to diagnose, twice he did essentially nothing and gave it back. His hours were inconvenient and I was no longer working in Franklin so I spent a significant amount of time on these endeavors. Gateway has found the source of the oil leak, at least - it's the old cork gasket Bobby used when he put the engine back together (instead of a standard silicone gasket). The part costs $30. The labor costs $400, because they have to take half the engine apart to get to it. So - Bobby's Automotive was a very, very expensive lesson. $430 rental car + $3,990 repair + ~$3,000 in lost time and hourly wages trying to get him to make it right. I made a $7,500 mistake using Bobby's Automotive. Don't be me. Let Gateway rebuild your engine. And if Rhea Little recommends Bobby to you - ask him if there's anyone else he can recommend. read more

My 2004 Mini Cooper, at about 110,000 miles, decided to go through its midlife crisis. One week the radiator went out and then two weeks later fuel pump went out. Bobby's Automotive was amazing through this whole frustrating process. They found affordable parts with lifetime warranties, they did the work for completely reasonable prices, and one night while I was stuck in a meeting at work Bobby even stayed late and called me 3 or 4 times because he knew I'd wanted to pick up my car that night. I really have no complaints. When you drive a european car you expect to pay through the roof anytime anything happens, but the pricing was totally reasonable and the work was always done quickly. I definitely recommend Bobby's Automotive to anyone working or living near downtown Franklin. read more

I will never go anywhere else. Period. After another place tried to screw me on my brakes, I went to Bobby's for another estimate. Not only were my front brakes $100 less than the other place quoted, but the back ones only needed new pads and not $700 of work. His motto is to treat other people like you'd want to be treated. GO TO BOBBY'S!! I work in downtown Franklin, so I started bringing my car into Bobby's when I need work done or something checked, dropping my car off, and walking to work. Bobby is one of the most honest and respectful men you'll meet in the mechanics trade. He will treat you like a person (not a stupid woman or an idiot bro), be honest about work you do or don't need, and will charge you an incredibly fair price for the labor. Bobby looked at my car after a terrible experience with Christian Brothers. Had it for a few hours. He was honest and told me all I had was a little water in my gas tank. Didn't charge me a cent. Christian brothers tried to charge me $1400. I've been back to Bobby several times since. Each time the job has been done well and at a great price. The only place I trust to take my car. read more

I will never take my car anywhere else again if I can help it, and that's not just because Bobby's is walking distance from my office. Bobby and his staff are courteous, friendly, and take great care of you and your car. They go above and beyond and don't charge for the additional TLC, although with their prices as reasonable as they are, if they did no one would balk (I know I certainly wouldn't). Today, I took my car in for a tune-up a little over two hours before closing. I'd meant to take it in first thing in the morning but has forgotten. As expected, they were swamped, so I would've understood if they turned me away; however, Bobby said they'd find a way to make it work. Lo and behold, at 5pm my car was ready to go and drove much better on the way home. Brakes were no longer squeaking and sticking! I am new to town and Bobby's definitely has my vote. I took my car in because my check engine light was on. Something was messing with the sensor, they found the problem, fixed it up and didn't charge me a thing. I will be going back here! read more
