What a walk down memory lane this is!!! We haven't been to Bobby's Bistro, or its more upscale sister restaurant the Beachcomber in years. Twenty years ago, these two restaurants were the absolute "It" place, the best in Tampa. Amazingly, the decor is exactly the same as 20 years ago but somehow doesn't look dated at all. The food was fantastic. We met George, our server, who is a bit of a celebrity, and he was super nice and gave me a supersized shot! Glad to give this notable establishment a great review!

My husband and I decided to come in because we enjoy a nice glass of good wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the great menu for their food offerings, as well. I would have given this a five star rating, however, the music playing loudly over the speakers for our romantic, candlelit dinner ruined everything. Whoever picked honky-tonk and club music for such a beautiful establishment should be fired. We were told the music is set and cannot be changed. It would be better to just turn it off altogether in this case. Regardless, our food was exceptional and our service was outstanding. Oh, and the wine was everything we hoped for after several days of nothing but beachy rum drinks.

The 2 things I liked about this place was the outside patio and the bread basket. Otherwise, it was a poor experience for me. Had the California Pear Salad, which was fine but nothing special. Tried the Best Burger with two types of cheese - borsin (typically a very mild garlic cheese) and cheddar. This was the worst burger I ever tasted. I'd describe it like a pine tree. I mentioned to the waiter that it wasn't good and he told me the chef thought it was a bad combination of cheese flavors. First, neither cheeses should of tasted like a Christmas Tree. Second, if the chef thought it was a poor selection- why not TELL me before cooking it. Third, what a poor response by the server when I told him my meal was not good. I woke in the middle of the night with horrible stomach cramps. I've concluded that they put spoiled cheese on my burger.

We came here on our vacation in Clearwater and came in here not knowing what to expect. My parents and I got the filet (we were in the mood for steak) and it was easily one of the best filets I've ever had! The red burgundy wine sauce on it was fantastic. We also got a side of the vegetables for that day which was green beans and mushrooms in a creamy mushroom sauce and it was SO DELICIOUS!! I could've eaten the whole plate of them and lastly my dad got the Boston cream pie and i got the apple strudel which were also fantastic. The apple strudel did have raisins in it which i wasn't expecting but nonetheless delicious!

A group of us ate dinner one evening. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly! It was tender, succulent, mouth wateringly delicious! I skipped dessert as I am trying to cut way back on my sugar intake. Service was very good - especially in light of all of the groups in the restaurant. Beware the line for the Men's room when it gets busy. I ended up walking back to my hotel instead of waiting for the line 5 guys deep in front of me to subside.

My wife and I decided to do a leisurely dinner on a Sunday evening at Bobby's. We told Brandi, our attentive waiter, we'd like to do dinner tapas style, one course at a time, and we'd be splitting everything. No problem. We started with the scallops appetizer and there were three plump and fresh sautéed scallops in a balsamic reduction. Excellent. That was followed by the California Pear , Pecan , And Pepper Montrachet salad which was also very good. Then we split a bowl of Mon Sheri 's French Onion Soup In the traditional crock. Our entree was the chefs special, a blackened red snapper in roasted red pepper sauce. Succulent. We finished our last glass of Pinot with the flourless chocolate tort. Just an amazing 90 min meal in a beautiful location (outside with a cool fall breeze) and patient professional service by Brandi!

Came here during my last night in Clearwater based off a recommendation from the local town folks and I loved it! Tucked behind the Beachcomber, this sister restaurant is more affordable and had the perfect date night feel that provided us for a great evening. From there on the mood was set and the rest of the night was great. We sat in the intimate dining space devouring homemade bread, sipping on champagne, and having good convo as we waited for our food right behind us in the open kitchen. Craving a burger, I ordered one and it was pretty massive. Nothing spectacular but it certainly got the job done. My date ordered a gourmet mediterranean pizza which came with artichoke hearts, capers, fresh basil, tomato, romano pecorino, and mozzarella and what I enjoyed about it was that it wasn't over filling because it came on a light thin crust. Thats about it, did I mention the prices were great? Very affordable. Next time you are in the Clearwater area and want to have a nice dinner, I recommend Bobby's Bistro and Wine Bar for some good eats or as they call it; a light approach to the consumption and enjoyment and good foods and wine.

EXCELLENT food, service and atmosphere!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience here! Fresh and tasty bread to start and appetizers of scallops in balsamic sauce, flatbread pizza and shrimp cocktail, made great starters before the entrees. The special was coconut crusted sea bass with a orange reduction sauce over asparagus, that was to die for! The filet was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth and the ribs were amazing!! Topped this all off with a variety of tasty desserts, to include a brownie sundae and coconut cream pie. The atmosphere is one of the best I've seen, with lots of beautiful colored string lights and tropical plants. Service was excellent and very efficient! Highly recommend!!

What makes this place unique? They offered Caymus Cabernet BY THE GLASS, which I have not found before, and I frequent higher end restaurants often. It was fun to have a high-end glass of wine without spending hundreds on a bottle. It's also nice if you want to try other drinks. The espresso martini (get it with Baileys added for a smoother taste!) is huge and delicious. Brussel sprouts appetizer and feta whip appetizer were both tasty and ample for two people. The spicy fish tacos are Mahi Mahi and a MUST if you like Mahi. I will only eat Mahi if close to the ocean, and it was great. No fishy taste, nice and tender. The brownie dessert that was off-menu was perfect for a sweet bite. So many nice restaurants get too crazy with their specialty desserts, and sometimes you just want a simple yet decadent treat like a brownie! Make a reservation on their website and relax. It's an easy Uber ride if staying locally as well.

Preston was so fantastic, immediately welcoming me, offering a beverage, and asking if I wanted some food. My absolute favorite thing about Drift is that they serve Caymus by the glass! I ordered a glass right away, followed by the mushroom flatbread (to which I added pepperoni--delicious!). I was able to enjoy my wine and a fresh slice of flatbread, and took the rest home, all before they closed. I was so thankful and impressed with the wonderful customer service and for accommodating me as their very last customer. Thank you, Drift--I cannot wait to come back the next time I'm in Clearwater!
