But we ventured here specifically for their steaks and when we arrived we sat down, ordered an app and drinks and pondered over the menu, both deciding on a NY and KC strip steak only to be told they didn't have any steaks other than the filet. How do you run out of steaks? Then how to you not mention that before you even sit us? We would have eaten elsewhere had we known that but by then it was too late to get a reservation anywhere else. Wow- the food was so fresh and well prepared. The service was fantastic, although I did go on an off time. I didn't realize it was a speakeasy and unfortunately did not have a cocktail, but will return in the future. The ambiance is great inside and out for two different experiences. read more

Great ambiance. We enjoyed the outdoor seating on a Saturday night. It was busy and there was live music on the entire block. The host set us at a nice table with grass next to it for the pup. We enjoyed glasses of prosecco, appetizers (like shishito peppers), and entrees (filet, fish, cheesesteak, and burger) for all. The vibe was cool and lots of foot traffic now that Cleveland street is closed to cars and it's all seating for new restaurants. We were sat without a reservation with no wait even on a super busy night celebrating the giant duck downtown. Dog friendly! Will definitely be back! read more

The day we went we did not have any food to us; however, those around does speak very highly of their meals. The servers /bartenders were very nice. Quick service and excellent drinks! This place is fairly new and more upcoming events are planned as well as new items coming to the menu. It is a relaxed place to be and with a calm vibe. This one is a place we will be going back to to have their food. My friends at evening had stated they had eaten there and had great experiences. This evening we had nice cold drinks poured for us and they were excellent in every way. The Bistro is clean, average loudness, and great to gather with friends. Food was excellent. The Ahi tuna app was delicious. I had the hand held short rib which was cooked very nicely and seasoned to perfection. My mom had the shrimp bowl and my dad had the bistro burger. First time here for late lunch. Started with appetizers, steak bites, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Great beefy flavor. Fried shishito pepper with garlic aoile brought a good balance to the steak. Followed with a French onion burger and beef tallow fries. Burger cooked on point with great flavors. Love this new bistro in downtown Clearwater! Charming ambience and excellent service provided by Mary, a real professional who offered good suggestions. We started with a couple of appetizers from the happy hour menu (3-6, M-F) and a dirty martini. Also ordered the steak sandwich. Everything was delicious. So good to know they don't use ANY SEED OILs. The beef tallow fries are excellent. Nice draft beer selection along with wines by the glass. Asked for water refill 3 times (never came), asked for a martini that came 15 minutes after the order and at end of meal, and burger orders mixed up. Wow -- I genuinely don't know where to begin. We were told upfront the table had a strict 1.5-hour turnover. Fair enough -- except it took 12 minutes for our waiter to even acknowledge us. Once we finally ordered, cold fries showed up in just 3 minutes... followed by another 17-minute wait for drinks. So nearly half an hour in, we had bad fries and no drinks. Not exactly setting the tone. Then things went from slow to outright unacceptable. Our waiter spilled ketchup in a way that splattered across multiple tables -- including the neighboring table, covering their hair, clothing, and legs. It was a mess. And not a single manager or staff member stepped in to help. The affected guests had to clean themselves using their own Pellegrino. It was embarrassing to watch and even worse that no one from the restaurant took responsibility. And somehow, THE LOW POINT CAME AFTER THAT. At the end of our visit, a female "owner" came out -- wine glass in hand -- and aggressively confronted the very table that had been covered in ketchup, criticizing them for complaining. It was surreal, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. She even shook a pointed finger in the customer face! Again beyond embarrasing and we were on the sidelines. If this "owner" were an employee anywhere, this behavior would have ended their employment --- IMMEDIATELY. As for the overall experience: I would give the food, service, and management a zero if that were an option. My fiancé and I came for lunch and WOW!!! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and renovated, and they have a lovely outdoor spot with plenty of umbrellas. Our server Jason took perfect care of us and walked us through the specials and hot menu items. We got the steak bites, cooked perfectly, with a delicious garlic aioli to start. We also got the smash burger with beef tallow fries, and short rib sandwich topped with melty Gouda. Downtown Clearwater needed another restaurant at this caliber- it is absolutely to die for. If you event thru the back door it's a speakeasy! So cute! The service is always friendly and fast. The food is great and the drinks are amazing! It was recommended to add the steak bites. Ordered them without the butter sauce but they came with it anyway. Croutons and fondue aren't really a good mix. The fondue was flavorless. The steak is flavorless even with the butter sauce and it didn't stick to the cheese. The curious margarita was good but not much to it. Would not recommend this place. read more

Outstanding burgers and steaks! My favorite is the Jalapeno Smash Burger. They also have no seed oils, a host of gluten-free options and seem to be ahead of the curve with their delicious beef tallow fries. The wait staff is well-trained and friendly and the owners, Kevin and Summer, are very experienced operators with a true affinity for their guests--so you will definitely feel welcomed there. The atmosphere is chill but you can also catch a game on their 2 TVs (sound off). Highly recommend this place for high quality downtown Clearwater dining both indoor and out. read more
