I always avoided this place. I travel to Vegas for work but never went because of their reputation of poor quality. At the Holladay location they have their operations dialed. All around 10/10 experience. Ambiance, food, and services were all spot on. I got the bbq smokehouse burger, a quality burger, perfectly cooked. The shake was suggested by the cashier and met all expectations. 10/10 would recommend and I think I'm going back tomorrow. read more

Nice new place. I was expecting a lot from the Bobby Flay name If you read this Bobby, it has a ways to go to meet the standards of your other restaurants. First of all, it is way over priced for what it is. $40 for lunch at a fast food place is excessive. The Pistachio shake was $7.49. For that price, the very least you could do was fill the cup all the way up. The way mine was served there was no need for the domed top at all. See picture. The shake itself was thick and tasty. The BBQ Smokehouse Burger came to the table looking very plain with no visible sauce. The top bun was completely dry. I added Ketchup to give it some moisture. But after the 3rd bite I finally found the sauce hiding in the middle of the bottom bun. That sauce transformed the burger into something special! It was very good. Some training on even distribution of the sauce on the top and bottom bun would really elevate this burger. The onion rings were ok, but again, the sauce saved the side dish. Since this is a new place, I will give it another chance in a few months once the kinks are worked out. Go at your own risk. read more

I wanted to love Bobby's burgers. I love Bobby and his cat Nacho and my cat loves Nacho's food. Maybe we Utahns are spoiled by so many good local burger spots, but the burger was quite average. The fries were below average and went uneaten. The milkshake was just okay. The fried chicken sandwich was our favorite among all of those. All that being said, the restaurant itself was clean, fun, and welcoming. The employees were all really friendly and extra helpful, which made the experience much more pleasant even when we left about half of our meal uneaten. It was pretty crowded, though, and ordering at the kiosk was quick and easy. Not sure we'll try again since we have so many good local options already. read more

A little hard to find. It's on the backside of the Trader Joe's building. Location was clean and welcoming. Staff was incredible: polite, thoughtful, attentive. Shake was 5+ stars. Burger was 3.5 to 4 stars. Fries not so great. Onion rings very good. Overall, the experience was really nice and would definitely go back fairly often. Let's get the bad out of the way first. They take the big hot juicy patty straight from the grill and put it directly on the bun. By the time you open the box at your table the bottom bun is pretty soggy. They've gotta be aware of this because I've seen a lot of mentions of it in their reviews. The patties have a lot of flavor and are good. I didn't like the crunch burger but I liked the Palace Classic and BBQ Smokehouse burgers. Definitely liked the onion rings more than the fries, but they give you like 6 onion rings. The restaurant is bright and clean with lots of seating. The staff was kind and attentive. However, as I go to restaurants primarily for the food, Bobby's was a disappointment. The veggie burger was unpleasant. The patty is like mushroom and quinoa smashed together and deep fried and absolutely soaked with oil but also entirely flavorless. The burger also was un-filling as it lacked substantial protein as you'd have in a bean or soy protein-based patty. We were also confused by the total lack of flavor in the pistachio shake, it wasn't just a faint natural flavor as opposed to artificial, it just didn't have anything except for the pistachios crumbled on top, none in the shake. read more

Do not believe these reviews that are giving this place one and two stars. It deserves a solid FIVE star rating for sure! The employees were helpful, kind and full of information. Place is clean and welcoming. Most importantly, food is on point! The burgers were super juicy and flavorful, onion rings have the most delicious crunchy, peppery, buttermilky breading. It was all served piping hot and fresh. There were only two tables dining when we arrived but when we left there was a line almost out the door. I don't think they have been open for even a week and seems as though there are no kinks to work out. Very excited to have this burger joint here now as we live less than a mile from the restaurant. Hope Bobby comes to visit soon! Big fan of his for years. My family has no idea who he is and loved the food as much as I did. read more

Decided to try Bobby's Burgers in Holladay. Very disappointed - will not be going back. The main issue for us was the burger was soaked in a sauce that we didn't think was that good. Ordered at the kiosks. Ordered one bottle of soda and one fountain drink. Was brought the wrong items. When I asked for a correction, I was yelled at across the restaurant that I ordered it wrong on the kiosks, and next time I should come to the counter. Being my first time there, I didn't know that was an option. When I was able to get the gentleman to come over and look at my receipt, it showed I had ordered correctly. He seemed very put out. Clearly, Bobby Flay's name is only for marketing purposes. Pricey (hamburger, fries and coke for one person $22). One very soggy burger -- soft, airy bun that immediately deflated into a wet mess with the secret sauce, tomato and meat juices oozing out. The fries were good. Poorly thought out floor plan that directs everyone to order from kiosks, which were crowded as people -- even young people -- worked to place orders. And....and the ketchup comes in small hard plastic containers that require very strong hands to rip open to gain access. I've been to Bobby's Burgers a handful of times and come away impressed every time. My favorite thing on the menu is the onion rings. There is something about the batter that I love - flaky and spicy, the dipping sauce is also great. The Blue + Bacon burger is my go to. The service is great. They offer to deliver my food directly my office at no charge - I work at the Kiln above the restaurant. However, i typically walk down and grab myself just to get out of the office for a few minutes. The owner is friendly and always welcoming when i see him. The ambiance is fine. read more

The food at Bob's is made to order so it is fresh and hopefully just the way you asked for it. It's a little on the spendy side, for the price, there are better places to go in my opinion. The onion rings are way too salty, however, the burgers are very flavorful and juicy. If you were looking just for a milkshake, I give this place a 10 out of 10 for milkshakes. Ordered here for lunch despite the bad reviews I read. When I got my order I had THREE onion rings; on top of that my burger didn't have onion on it which I added to the order and the entire bottom bun was completely wet and disintegrated...super disappointed. Service was helpful and friendly. Burger was prepared medium (pink center) as ordered. The burger bun failed to hold up making for a messy unpleasant experience. The onion rings were nicely breaded and well cooked. However, at $1.20 per ring, they are not worth it to me. While the Bobby Sauce was flavorful with chipotle, the one ounce portion was small. The price for a burger, side and fountain drink was $22.50 + tax + tip. The restaurant's booth seating was a bit tight but plenty of tables with chairs were available. We have tried it twice. One time with two people and once with four. The ordering kiosks are slow and ponderous. Ordering at the counter is faster and more efficient. The consensus was that the shakes were very good, as were the onion rings. The burgers were okay, but skip the potato chips on them. The fries were subpar - mediocre at best. The Bobby's sauce was bad and not because it was too spicy. It was a flavor that no one in our dining party enjoyed. We have eaten at Flay's restaurants in New York with positive experiences. We've only done takeout, twice already. Their burgers are very good! The meat was expertly cooked medium well, which I love. But with takeout there is always a chance of something going wrong. Yuk Horrible burger, cheese fries are gross (not real cheese). You put the condiments on yourself, ketchup, mustard and mayo ( wasteful). Don't bother telling them how the you want your burger cooked they all came out extremely rare. Cashiers spend more time up selling you on weak Lays pottage chips causing lines to back up. The "Bobby Sauce" which is the answer to Utah's fry sauce was just too spicy for my liking. Sweet potato fries were fine but nothing to write about.
