I've been hoping to relive the glory of my first burger here (see previous review), but it's been rocky. Good grill flavor and outer crusting, but medium to medium well when I ordered medium rare. (Yes, I mentioned it to the server and manager.) Still a pretty good burger, and the bacon I added this time was thick and walking the tightrope between crispy and bendy. But a big miss on hitting greatness again. So I gave it another chance the next visit, and it was again overdone. But this time I sent it back, and the one they sent out was very good. The most recent visit only required one try: excellent, with the right crust outside and proper pink and juicy inside, along with a solid assortment of vegetables and condiments. If you are going to sell your protein based on size, like you do with your steaks, then maybe start doing the same with weight size for seafood products. Quantity and quality is important.

Went there for dinner tonight, not very busy due to rain maybe. I ordered the seafood plate and the large oval plate was filled with food. A 4" X 4" piece of Haddock, a few large shrimp, a few large scallops, several whole belly clams, several onion rings, lots of fries, lots of delicious home made Cole slaw that was sweet (like I like it) 2 containers of home made tarter sauce. That's what I call fantastic as it was fried just right. There was so much I had to take some home. My wife had the stuffed shells 3 large ones plus it came with 2 large meatballs and sauce. All perfectly home made and she was overwhelmed and took most of it home as well. We each had 2 soft drinks, I never drink and drive anymore. No room for desert. We will definetly be going back, as it is close to where we live. Thanks Bobolas, great food, and the manager came out and asked all diners how the food was, a sign that they actually do care about customers like or did not like the food. read more
