    Beef pho
    Erica W.

I've had pho from here a few months ago (dine in) and it was good - just got my door dash order and the broth has ZERO flavor..tastes like water with a grocery store seasoning pack added. There was no siracha included & The minimal meat, as pictured is after I cut it up to cook (since it came raw laying on top of my "off tasting" noodles ) in a small 8in pan - very disappointing for a $18 meal. Sidenote, I also got the egg rolls and they were pretty good.

This is my first time here! This place has a WIDE variety of choices. Everything from hot pot to burgers to tacos to pho soup to Caesar Salad! Music is quiet and sounds like oldies. For our appetizer, we are trying the Summer Rolls made with Vermicelli, mint leaves and iceberg lettuce with chicken. These are delicious! I love that sauce! For my first drink, I'm having a Litchi Martini (lychee?) made with vodka, litchi juice and Triple Sec with a litchi garnish. The glass is chilled. It's well garnished and tastes great! For my meal, I'm having hot pot? My broth will be Cilantro with Preserved Egg. I've never heard of this before! I'm having chicken breast, steamed rice, white fish (haddock), taro, watercress, Chinese lettuce (?) and lotus root. This is great! For our last drink, we are "sharing" a Scorpion Bowl. This is made with rum, vodka, orange juice, pineapple and grenadine. Very good! What a great meal!

The food wasn't terrible. Service is a bit slow. Worth trying if you've never been. Clean ambience and nice seating.

We had a nice experience here. Went on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. Our waiter, Casey, was friendly, attentive, and made some great recommendations that really elevated our meal. We started with the tempura vegetables, which were perfectly crispy and served in a generous portion. The edamame was fresh, lightly salted, and also came in a good portion size--great for sharing. The drinks didn't disappoint either. The Mai Tai was strong and flavorful, and the Cosmo was well-balanced and refreshing. For our main course, we tried both the pho and the ramen, and they were both excellent--rich, flavorful broths and hearty portions that left us completely satisfied. Overall, Spice Restaurant and Bar delivered on flavor, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal and a good vibe.

Hot pot with two different broths, bone broth and thum yum. We had another broth and it was the spicy one which was phenomenal!

Wow, I was so surprised of how good the food tasted because the place was empty around 3 pm. But mannnn... flavor in the broth of the hot pot! It was all you can eat for 40$ per person and it sure hit the spot. There is no good hot pot or pho places (like good good), in the Nashua area. I usually travel to Lowell, MA or Boston, Ma. But I can't wait to go back to Spice, im so happy it's down the street! The server, Caroline was sweet and very very helpful although we asked a ton of questions. The drinks were wonderful and the place was clean. The bar is beautiful. Give this place a shot to satisfy your craving! Mm mm

Great food great times just join me for a new different experience

GREAT experience; having tried this place for the 1st time today (a Wednesday, late morning);…read moreExceptionally, friendly and attentive staff. I am in a wheelchair and the staff must have seen us coming as ChrisAnn (unsure of spelling) greeted us and assisted us (husband and I) with the doors (which are not automatic) and, as we entered, stated that she already set us up at the first table, which I found to be above and beyond the typical service of any establishment. The menus were already at the table and a chair removed, to make space for my wheelchair. Both of us ordered the steak tips and eggs, which we both enjoyed, cooked exactly as ordered, and as tasty as one can expect. Husband had his with hash browns (?) [pan-fried potato chunks] & toast; mine with grilled English muffin and a side of baked beans. What I really like was the plating, such that none of the food items ran together, that is, the beans were in a small dish separate from the eggs and English and the steak was on a separate small plate, making it easier to cut (without bumping up against other foods). When our son was a young child, we referred to this as "no-touch-atarian" as he really disliked his foods touching one another. Now, some 30+ years later, I have to agree that some food items are just best as stand-alone items. I would have given a full 5 star rating except that I tend to be slightly more critical with my assessments as they relate to accessibility. The parking lot could use a repainting as the lines and handicapped parking symbols were barely visible. They have a ramp to the entrance but, without automatic doors, it can cause difficulties at the top as there is no level area at the top to allow one to stop and prevent the chair from rolling backwards to allow one to open the door. I have a care giver that gets me in and out, so it is not a huge barrier for me personally but I can see it being difficult for more independent wheelchair users. Access to the restroom is a bit awkward but not impossible And the staff helped with that as well.

I took a seat at the bar (free seating) and browsed the menu. I ended up ordering the fried haddock sandwich ($18) from the summer specials menu. The sandwich had beer battered fried haddock with coleslaw, tartar sauce, pickles, and tomatoes served on a bun with fries. The haddock was a thick, juicy piece with unobtrusive breading providing just a slight texture contrast. The tomatoes and pickles were also thickly cut, making for a more of a burger and less of a sandwich experience. The coleslaw and tartar sauce didn't overdo the mayo or acidity.

Had jambalaya and the cook who made it need to read the recipe. Put chicken on top of the dish was burned and had a taste of gas or charcoal. We also had fish that was dry and not very tasty. The service was also a disaster, the people that serve us had no clue what service is, never asked if we need anything, if everything was alright, etc. the ambiance is dark and depressing. We have been there twice in the past, it was ok, but now is no longer worth thinking of going back.

Update after a few more visits has them down to a 4 based on inconsistency…read more -- Roast Chicken: Hearty fall/winter dish with crisp skin, herbs aplenty, and gravy underneath, with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes. A little dry in the interior. No longer on the menu as of last week. -- Grilled Shrimp: Plump shrimp whose paprika-heavy rub and grill flavor balanced the butteriness, with a pepper aioli joining as well. On top, pickled fennel. Underneath, grilled sourdough that soaked in the grill, butter, and seafood flavors. Fantastic but no longer on the menu as of last week. -- Forge & Vine Cheeseburger: All the same ingredients as on a Big Mac, only of much higher quality, on a thick burger of high quality. I've been hoping to relive the glory of my first burger here (see previous review), but it's been rocky. Good grill flavor and outer crusting, but medium to medium well when I ordered medium rare. (Yes, I mentioned it to the server and manager.) Still a pretty good burger, and the bacon I added this time was thick and walking the tightrope between crispy and bendy. But a big miss on hitting greatness again. So I gave it another chance the next visit, and it was again overdone. But this time I sent it back, and the one they sent out was very good. The most recent visit only required one try: excellent, with the right crust outside and proper pink and juicy inside, along with a solid assortment of vegetables and condiments. An exemplary burger-- when they cook it right. -- Calamari: An eye-catching appetizer with the mostly thin rings pretty much treated like chicken wings, with a spicy tangy glaze, an aïoli underneath, and some kimchi on top for presentation. Very good crunch and flavor, but thicker pieces would have allowed a better tasting of the seafood itself. Still very enjoyable and I'd get it again. -- Shrimp Cocktail: Solid job, good size, presented in ice with lemon wedges and a cocktail sauce a little light on the horseradish. -- Grilled Swordfish Meunière: A thick slab, lightly grilled, fairly. A thin brown butter sauce, capers, and sautéed mustard greens added some much needed moisture and oomph. No longer on the menu as of last week. -- Jimmy Nardello Peppers: Long, bright red, no heat, slightly sour, and somewhat fruity like peppadew, dressed up with garlic aioli, chimichurri, and coriander seed. Outstanding. Great beer pairing. Beautiful space. Good to outstanding service. Cody pours his heart and soul into the experience, exuding enthusiasm from the greeting through the check. Some might find it a little overdramatic, but after enduring too many AWOL and near-comatose servers elsewhere, I can't get enough of it. I like this place, and consider it good to very good, but it seems like the proteins (especially the grilled items) turn up a little too dry a little too often to consider them great. Their pricing is high but well worth it when the execution is there. When it's not, it's a too-expensive just-okay. Despite the inconsistency, going with a 4 based on the most recent visit being problem-free.
