This is a major renovation from the KFC that used to be in this location. The design is beautiful with a very large central bar. The ambiance is excellent and everything looked clean. The service was only so-so. We spent a lot of time waiting for the server even though we were the only diners in the restaurant. The food was not good. Hot pot all you can eat on SUNDAYS & WEDNESDAYs any other day is al la carte! Service is amazing though. I wish they had music playing though. Base soup: 5.60 + meat combo brisket 27.69 includes veggie variety+ rice or noddles. The spicy base isn't that spicy so the sauces had to make up for it! We were stuffed as we ordered two sets! The spring rolls were kind of small and didn't have a good crunch. But still yummy! I was a little hesitant about this place due to location but....its well worth the time. The place is has been newly renovated and looks great. First impressions are important. So let's talk about it.... The menu is good and reasonably priced for New Hampshire. We had drinks, apps and entrees. Drinks...full bar menu with the usual cocktails. Could use some more top shell brands though (just preference for me). Apps: great selections. We had the feta bites. What an unusual concept. Could use a dipping sauce (something spicy to cut the salt) but Wow really good. Food: Pad Thai, Ahi tuna pizza and the Vietnamese sandwich. Well cooked and delicious. I've had pho from here a few months ago (dine in) and it was good - just got my door dash order and the broth has ZERO flavor..tastes like water with a grocery store seasoning pack added. There was no siracha included & The minimal meat, as pictured is after I cut it up to cook (since it came raw laying on top of my "off tasting" noodles ) in a small 8in pan - very disappointing for a $18 meal. Ate here with a friend tonight and we both were impressed by the food. Nice and fresh- we both loved the green mango salad. I really enjoyed the Vietnamese Sandwich and he enjoyed the Shaking Beef and a Fried Rice dish. We hadn't seen each other for ~15 years and it wasn't busy, still we appreciated the no-pressure vibe. This is my first time here! This place has a WIDE variety of choices. Everything from hot pot to burgers to tacos to pho soup to Caesar Salad! Music is quiet and sounds like oldies. For our appetizer, we are trying the Summer Rolls made with Vermicelli, mint leaves and iceberg lettuce with chicken. These are delicious! I love that sauce! For my first drink, I'm having a Litchi Martini (lychee?) made with vodka, litchi juice and Triple Sec with a litchi garnish. The glass is chilled. It's well garnished and tastes great! For my meal, I'm having hot pot? My broth will be Cilantro with Preserved Egg. I've never heard of this before! I'm having chicken breast, steamed rice, white fish (haddock), taro, watercress, Chinese lettuce (?) and lotus root. This is great! For our last drink, we are "sharing" a Scorpion Bowl. If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be the only guests in a restaurant and still somehow invisible, this is the place for you. Despite being the lone table in sight, it took a solid 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a drink -- which, after that wait, we definitely did. When the drinks finally arrived, there was some confusion -- as in, none of us knew whose was whose, including our waitress. To her credit, she confessed it was her first day, which suddenly explained a lot (and earned her some sympathy points). Unfortunately, one of the cocktails seemed to have skipped the "alcohol" part of the recipe altogether. Think of it as a mocktail with identity issues. What surprised us most was that the owner was right there and didn't seem concerned about the delays or the mix-ups. No attempt to smooth things over or even acknowledge the situation -- which made the silence louder than the music. The food was... fine. The crab rangoon, however, looked like it got lost somewhere between the kitchen and the Google photos. Definitely not what we expected. All that said, the ambience was promising -- nice decor, decent vibe -- though maybe dim the lights a bit to match the mood of the service. This place could have real potential with better training and management. We still had a great night, but that's entirely thanks to the company we were with -- not the cocktails or the crab rangoon. If you're going to try this place out, come soon. Not sure how much longer it will last. read more

The space was nicely redone and offers a full service bar with seating all around, high top tables, booths, and a back room with tables for hot pot. I stopped by The Spice Restaurant & Bar for lunch recently. I sat at a high top table close to the bar. I ordered the Wonton Pho Soup ($17 plus tax) which was served a big bowl with vermicelli noodles, 6 pork wontons (slight bitter taste), veggies, sprouts in a savory broth, chili paste & sauces given to add to the soup. I added some chili paste and quickly felt it was very hot. I finished the soup and the check was presented which was $18.45 with tax and before tip. Overall, the pho soup was good and I will have to try the hot pot in the future. read more

We had a nice experience here. Went on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. Our waiter, Casey, was friendly, attentive, and made some great recommendations that really elevated our meal. We started with the tempura vegetables, which were perfectly crispy and served in a generous portion. The edamame was fresh, lightly salted, and also came in a good portion size--great for sharing. The drinks didn't disappoint either. The Mai Tai was strong and flavorful, and the Cosmo was well-balanced and refreshing. For our main course, we tried both the pho and the ramen, and they were both excellent--rich, flavorful broths and hearty portions that left us completely satisfied. Wow, I was so surprised of how good the food tasted because the place was empty around 3 pm. But mannnn... flavor in the broth of the hot pot! It was all you can eat for 40$ per person and it sure hit the spot. There is no good hot pot or pho places (like good good), in the Nashua area. I usually travel to Lowell, MA or Boston, Ma. But I can't wait to go back to Spice, im so happy it's down the street! The server, Caroline was sweet and very very helpful although we asked a ton of questions. This was my first time trying hot pot. This is mainly an Asian Fusion restaurant, so there is the standard menu and bar as well. My partner and I went on a Wednesday night for the all you can eat hot pot, which is done every Wednesday and Sunday. I would definitely recommend coming on a Wednesday night, as the main area for the AYCE is pretty small. One thing we enjoyed from the standard menu was the stir-fried edamame with garlic. The servers seemed a bit tied up, so it was hard to find our waitress when we had questions about the menu, but it was a Wednesday night so I understand it can get busy. There was also a plentiful sauce bar as well, which is really great for a variety of flavors. read more

I have a friend who wanted to open a restaurant once. You could see he was really into food. We once went to his home and even a simple rice and vegetable combination was magical. He knew just what to add to give a simple dish the right flavor. Similarly, I have a Bulgarian friend who used to make this really great salad with things you could get from any regular grocery store. We could never replicate it no matter what we did. Just plain bread with his salad was awesome. A great chef does not need to add a lot of things to make food taste great. The simplest dish can be magical. Hard to believe I am writing this, but the fried rice with chicken I had at this restaurant was as good as or even better in many ways to the last time I had food anywhere as near as good as this - that was in CA a long time ago. Brought back fond memories. Hard to explain why - it's like home cooked food, but made by someone who knows how to add the right spices in the food. Who can believe that a place in Nashua of all places has epic food? At least what I had was better than Sichuan Gourmet in Billerica which is the gold standard in these matters. Sichuan has lost its magic over time - the zing in their food. This place has that zing at-least in this dish. I'll definitely be back. We need more places like this here. Great ambience as well. I remember thinking if they are taking this time to make the dish it is either very good or not good at all. I'm glad to report it was awesome. Wow! Went there with a larger party for my 15 yr old's birthday. We expected to just eat off the menu, but then realized that they served Hot Pot. My family, especially the birthday girl, are very adventurous eaters. (I am a chef.) And this was a wonderful surprise! Meats, veggies, broths, and sauces were exceptional. Our waitress put so much effort into our service. She was a delight. Timing of the components of the Hot Pot were a little off, but the staff is all new. Really unpleasant experience eating here. You walk in and it has a very cheap feel to it. There's lots of unpleasant cleaning smells and lots of perfume in the place. Service was very prompt and very sweet. No low marks here. The food was at best average and below average quite a bit. Things were underdone and overdone and even in some of the soups the chunks of vegetables were so big that you couldn't even get it all into your mouth. Feels like the cook is new or something and has never cooked before because they were all sorts of mistakes. The prices are not good. Some things are abnormally high and other things are just too high. For the location and the ambience they should really be aiming for a much lower price bracket. But the service was nice.
