My husband recommended this place so we brought my parents to eat here. No qualms on the service, our server was just fine but my rating is for the overall experience. One bathroom, nothing on the menus so look on the wall for the kids and senior menu on a whiteboard (I didn't see it until after we ordered). Unorganized enough for me to not make another visit. On April 21, 2021 I went online and reviewed their menu . I ended up ordering a veggie omelet and I have to tell you it was NOT GOOD AT ALL ! ! It was very bland, absolutely NO taste to it at all. How on earth do you screw up an omelet? But here's the worst part, I went online and the prices were fantastic but when I got there to pickup our food they charged me a lot more then the website stated. For example, the omelet was $7.59 or there bouts and when I went there to pick it up they tried to charge me $10.00 for one omelet. I told the gal there that the website shows $7.59 and she said sorry but it's $10,00. She said is that all right, so I responded hell no it's not alright because that is why I am trying your restaurant out for the first time is because of the prices. She said that a kid did her website and now they can't find the kid anymore, he disappeared. This is totally messed up advertising one thing and then charging another price which is Switch and bait and that is against the law. They are doing nothing to fix the problem so by all rights they must honor the pricing shown on their website. Bottom line: I would not go back and certainly would not recommand anyone to go there. Menu is pretty standard short-order diner fare, with a few Southwest touches (if you're weird and like organ meat like I do, the chicken liver omelette is a must-try). Tasty (if not particularly healthy) food, nice folks, and dirt cheap to boot. Well worth visiting. To finish with an amusing anecdote: The bathroom used to look much like the rest of the place (battered, with exposed pipes and not much decor, but scrupulously clean). The last time I went, I guess they'd renovated a bit - it's been redone in the style I like to call Early Aughts Yuppie - warm-colored walls, fancy raised sink, granite countertop. I've been to Bo Bo's several times and always had a great experience. However, today myself and three friends went in and put our names on the list. We waited outside for 20 minutes, aand not once did anyone step outside to call our names to be seated. I then went in to find out where I was on the list, and my name had a line through it. My husband and I had an awesome breakfast at Bobo's on our way out of Tucson last month! He had some ridiculous omelet that contained an absurd amount of meat- ham, bacon AND sausage. It was absolutely stuffed and, on top of it all, smothered in thick country gravy. I opted for the country fried steak, which was perfect! The breading was really crispy and delicious and the meat was so tender. I also really liked the chunky breakfast potatoes that came on the side. It's a small place, and the tables are tightly packed, and it was crazy busy for like 10am on a random weekday, which I think only proves how good the food is. I love locally owned businesses especially ones that have a something unique to offer. Bobo's fits this bill perfectly. Years ago at my first experience I made the mistake of asking to order two of their pancakes. The server asked me if I have eaten there before and I said no, she recommended that I only get one. Once it came out I fully understood why, the pancakes are bobo's forbidden fruit, they are what makes this restaurant stand out in a sea of boring flap jacks. But pancakes are no longer what I order when I go there, I order the omelets. They are by far the best omelet that I have ever had. You just cannot go wrong with the food at bobo's. The decor will not blow you away and there is a good chance you will have to wait for a seat, but the food is outstanding the the prices are shockingly low for what you get. Both the banana pancake and the apple pancake (which may be better) have a perfect combination of cinnamon and caramelized sugars which make them sweet but not too sweet (in other words, you won't get a crazy sugar rush from eating dessert for breakfast - IHOP anyone?). The blueberry is just good - next time I will give the banana & blueberry a shot. Unless you have something to prove, there's no reason to get more than one pancake - even the senior/kid's size would feed an adult. Bobo's is severely under-priced - so tip generously. Needless to say this place is legit. A legend, as was the man sitting next to me at the counter who has been coming there for 40 years, in the city of Tucson and a place I go to every weekend that I am there. Wouldn't miss it. It is a lovely family atmosphere, nice and greasy, lots of families, young people - basically all those who know where to get the best damn breakfast around. My girlfriend introduced me to Bobo's a few years ago. It is a great place for creative takes on breakfast food. I only wish they'd expand the size of the restaurant so the wait for a table would be shorter during busy time. The strong point of this place is breakfast food. Specifically, I recommend the French Toast and one of the giant pancakes. I usually have the "Flying Saucer," which I customize with some ground beef and extra cheese. If you have two in your party, they will put it on two plates for you, and I'll tell you this: one giant pancake will satisfy both of you. My recommendation is to concentrate on breakfast food here, as the lunch menu is not as creative or unique as the breakfast menu. read more

I rate it more 2 1/2 stars, but I was not impressed with this place at all. The water tasted like club soda, my food looked like a crime scene and my huevos rancheros had no beans. The tortilla was extremely soggy and my potato's tasted sugared like they used the same pan for the cinnamon rolls. There was a few good things though... Breakfast at Bobo's is unlike any other yet in many ways it is classic. A busy, noisy diner with great friendly service. Hot coffee. Eggs cooked perfectly, and a banana pancake from heaven. I have to complain that they do not offer good maple syrup. I would be delighted to pay extra for a pitcher of real maple syrup to jazz up this wonderful pancake. By far Bibi's is the greatest cafe breakfast place I've eaten at in a long time. My family and I are on a road trip to California and decided to stop off and have breakfast here. So far it's the best restaurant of our trip. My daughter had the chicken fried steak and it was superb. I had the hash and eggs special along with the banana pancake. The pancake was bigger than the plate itself so don't worry about serving size. As for taste, the pancake was caramelized in butter which gave it a fantastic light crunch. I would love to try the apple pancake the next time I come to town. As for the price it was moderate but we all work hard for our money why settle for mediocre at Denny's when you can eat like a king. read more
