A Hole in the Wall Homerun!!! Man this place isn't much to look at and they don't even give you a place to sit to eat your food, but man the burgers, shakes and tots here are sinfully delicious! The local newspaper reader's poll awarded Bob's "Best Hamburger" in Midland a year or two ago and they deserve it, Everything is cooked to order, good flavor to the meat and the milkshakes here are tasty, too! This is one of those classic "hole in the wall" spots that doesn't look like much from the road but is well worth a visit. If you need to grab a tasty dinner to go this is the spot. Atmosphere: The atmosphere has always been the same for Bobs. It's a walk-up burger stand; very vintage place. You place your order, go back to your car and wait. The oozing smell of fries, and burgers lingers around your car. Staff: The staff at Bob's are always busting their rear ends in a fast-paced environment. They were helpful with the order. It has been many years since we have eaten there. We had questions about if things have changed. The staff member, Becky, was very nice and pleasant to ask any questions. Price: $ 8 (about) pp, which includes fries, burger, and medium drink. The prices are cheaper than fast food, always a plus. The prices are very reasonable. Menu selection For a hamburger stand, it had a large selection. The menu includes shakes, burger, fries / onion rings, chips, chicken tender / steak finger basket, sandwiches and much more. Kid friendly? Yes! They have kid friendly options. What kid doesn't like a corndog? Average wait time for food? We went at a semi-busy time. It was about a 15 minute wait time. I would def. recommend their onion rings too. Even their shakes. Heck, why not try it all? Food quality and quantity: The quality and quantity of the food was amazing. My husband got a large burger, no tomatoes, large fries, and a chocolate shake. I got a large burger (mayo instead of mustard), onion rings, and water. The burgers patties did not appear to be frozen!! Total bonus. The patties has enough seasoning on it, but not over powering. The produce on the burgers appeared to be fresh, another added bonus. The fries were cooked to protection, and contained the perfect crispiness (yes, we love our crispy fries). Although the fries did not have nearly enough salt. Don't panic, they give you salt packets . The onion rings were nice and crunchy too. The best part is the onion didn't fall out when you bit into it. Star rating: 4 out of 5 stars. This place is just how I remembered it. The smell is the same; the food tastes the same. I haven't been back in over 10 years. The quality and quantity just hasn't changed. Still amazing food. Not sure you'd want to eat by the place anyway since there was a ton of flies but whatever. I ordered the double large burger with cheese and a side order of cheese fries. All food is cooked to order so don't be in a rush. The burger was reallllly good. So authentic. Nice toasted buns and crispy edges on the meat. The fries weren't good. Just some reheated frozen bag junk with canned cheese. The burger really carried the meal. Other reviews indicated the onion rings were good, maybe I should have gotten them instead. If you are looking for an experience, this is a fun place to try. You walk up to place your order and then sit in your car until your number is called. The place is busy with locals and the wait time can be long. People are friendly and the atmosphere is upbeat. The milkshake, chili fries and corn dog were good but nothing to write home about. The burger was disappointing and reason for my rating. Super flat 5 inch patty that was over cooked. The bun overtook the patty. Asked for no tomato which was added anyway. No big deal on that. Fist time here, was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of flies buzzing around while waiting in line, this place looks like it should have been closed down years go due to health risk issues. I ordered anyways from a very polite lady at the window, after about 10 minutes by bbq brisket sandwich and onion rings were ready. The onion rings where the best I've ever had and the serving size was just right. The bbq sauce on my sandwich was amazing but the brisket was a bit dry. From the reviews I thought it was gonna be better. It was pretty horrible. Asked for no onion on my burger and they still put some. Fries were all burnt pretty bad. Asked for a side of nacho cheese and it tasted weird. The iced tea didn't have any sugar and they didn't even bother to let me know. Had to throw it away. Not impressed with the food. The burger was really done and was lost in the over-sized bun. The milkshake had okay flavor, but it was really icy. When I was done it looked like a slurpee when you drink all the flavor out of it, but the ice is still at the bottom. I think they were using cheap ice cream or something, but it didn't make for a good milkshake. The other reviews were right that it is a hole-in-the-wall. In my opinion, this place has the best chicken finger basket in town. The chicken is absolutely gigantic and tasty. Another of my favorites is the jalapeno double cheeseburger, it's fantastic as well. The biggest downfall is that they mix the onions, pickles and mustard together, so even if you order a burger with mayo, it still comes with mustard. You have to specify that you don't want the mustard otherwise they'll smother it on there. read more

Food was absolutely wonderful! No complaints with the food. Lady attending the front window couldn't have been less friendly or happy to have customers... and the wait was longer than 30 minutes.
