Oh my god, it's mortifying how overpriced the food is. It's all small portioned, below average diner fare at trendy-modern 60's diner prices. Three people, three dishes: Fried chicken (two SMALL pieces, over 8 bucks), a double decker burger with bacon and a corned beef reuben. I don't remember the other prices, but it came out to close to 30 bucks, and those were the cheaper dishes on the menu! The most embarrassing thing was the food tasted like we should have paid $5 less than what we did. The big boy special sauce on the burger tasted like relish juice mixed with miracle whip (gag), and the meat patties were cheap frozen 50c patties you probably have to drive to the border to get out of a creepy dude's trunk. A double double would have been what--3 dollars? Tack on fries and it would be around 5, and it would have tasted so much better. read more

service fantastic and food was fresh and tasty. we came for lunch during a car show so the restaurant was fairly busy. however our waitress was friendly and very attentive .. she never missed a beat. we both ordered the classic big boy combos (old school) and they were served hot and fresh. this is the way I remembered the classic combo to be from my childhood. read more

I used to love bob's big boys...I was so excited when it opened, but was horribly disappointed once I stepped foot inside...the environment was very sub dennys, more like a chuck e cheese looking place...waitress was pushy trying to get us to order more food, I had the fish and chips and so did my girlfriend...hers came out 10 minutes before mine. This is many weeks after opening and I thought they would have all the kinks out by then...I was sorely disappointed...I also had clam chowder which was very low quality, like something from a fast food joint...my water was only refilled once...sadly, the best part was leaving :( I really wanted it to be good too read more

Took my sister to Bob's Big Boy on Sunday Feb 21st because she wanted breakfast, and we used to come here a year ago to enjoy the breakfast buffet. After the large blonde hostess stood ten feet away and ignored us for five minutes, we were finally seated. We advised the hostess we wanted the buffet and didn't need menus, and she nodded gruffly and took us to our seats. Only then did we realize the buffet was over. She didn't even bother to mention that even though we expressly told her why we were there. We left and went elsewhere. She watched us go and didn't say a word. But be careful at this location, I thought it was weird when they told me they had pepsi rather than coke products considering bobs and coke went hand and hand. you can taste a little bit of the difference plus they have a breakfast bar kinda like the bobs that used to be in baker. I haven't been to a Bob's Big Boy in about 20 years. It was the same greasy spoon I remember from high school in PA. Great Service and pretty good food. The fam came for breakfast after a horse show. I got a mushroom and cheese omelet and home fries with tea. The was my staple back in the day. Couldn't complain and I ate it all. LOL. I had their original Bob's Big Boy burger. I ask for extra onions as they do not come with Onions, however I got extra mayo. The meat is tender and their special sauce is relish + ketchup. The fries were ok, the onion rings was better. I'll give it an average C grade. Try In and out burgers and you will like it better than Bob's Big Boys. read more

Food was excellent and so well-priced! large portions. We were disappointed that we didn't have room for dessert because it looked fantastic. I had the French dip sandwich which had a TON of roast beef and the aus jus was delectable. The fries were plentiful and good. My daughter had the double bacon cheeseburger and she devoured the thing within minutes. Hers came with a salad which we shared. The salad was very good, their croutons being my favorite. Haven't been to a Bob's Big Boy in 20 years. Went with a coworker for lunch and was very disappointed. The burger was ok - nothing special. Service was good as our waitress and the others were friendly and helpful. Tried a slice of strawberry pie (a classic Big Boy dessert) and found the strawberries old and soggy. The crust was soggy and flavorless. Returned the pie for hot fudge icecream cake - not any better than the pie. The hot fudge was dry and curded... This was lunch for two guys and the bill was $28.00! Never going there again. read more

The waitress continues to complain about her job and how she is swamped when there isn't many people here and I can see a few tables keep looking for the waitress. I would keep drive by this place, had good memories when it was corona and they have been remove by this poor look like. Manager has poor altitude, just like the wait staff. I request lower the fan speed, waitress wait to take order first. No care for the custmer, and advise this the best they can do, which was nothing. LOVED, LOVED their Best Cheeseburger on the Planet. It was ready to eat straight from the kitchen without having to add anything to it. This has been the best cheeseburger i've had in awhile at a restaurant. The service was excellent and the manager even took the time to give us some tips on some of the local classic car shows when we inquired about a poster they had posted. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about... but dang this spot hits my burger cravings every time! Sometimes when I don't really want in-n-out, I figure, "hey why not, some of the classics?!" And then I make my way down to Bob's. I really love the bob's big boy burger, and their chili spaghetti. Classic, instant nostalgia, and fast! Sometimes it's slow, but the times I've been there, the servers have been on time with my order, and FRIENDLY service I might add. I would most def come back with my family and friends. Also, if I want to go there and study, I usually just bring my laptop, books, etc and just order a MALT or a VANILLA SHAKE. soooo good. And yes, the extra 2 mile run after my fatty consumption is so worth it. Plus, I really like to get some extra toys or shirts for my little nieces and nephews. gotta love it. The servers made my experience here very good. We kept getting bad service at Denny's so we decided to try this place, for about the same price we got way better service. Just not that great. Burger was huge which was cool but it had so much mustard on it that I could barely eat it...really? Who likes alot of mustard on their burger? Pretty risky for them. Maybe they should try putting it on the side. My son's burger was very tiny with NOTHING on it..just dry. The manager was a jerk and the fries were the kind you find in outdated restaurants that get extremely hard when they get cold. My husband and I grew up in the midwest where Big Boy was a staple. We were so excited to find this spot, they have several statues of Bob! Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. While the service was great, the restaurant wasn't very clean - sticky salt and pepper shakers, splattered ketchup on the side wall, greasy menu. The food was so-so, french fries were on the cold side. We may give it one more try to see if they are reading these reviews and making changes. read more

For a burger joint, its what you'd expect. The burgers and food aren't to bad so I cant complain about that. My only complaints are the veggies at the salad bar. I have seen lettuce that looks brown and slimy and tomatoes that have started to wrinkle. Not very appetizing. Me and my wife went this morning. ..we've been twice before for the breakfast buffet and it was good both times...today nor so much...the French Toast was cold, as we're the eggs, the sausage had burnt links among them ...the chli Verde was ok as was the chli rellano, but they also were room temp at best..another thing was the carpet was very dirty with food all over ..napkins on the seat etc...our waitress was very attentive and extremely nice. ..she was worth every bit of the tip I left her...but $31.00. for that breakfast?...I'll pass next time... read more
