Place is super small. Parking kind of hard to find. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. I thought it was a little overpriced for what quality and quantity of what you get. I had to park on the side of the road which wasn't too bad, but still... The service..?? Well, there was one lady who was waitressing the whole place by herself! poor thing. She forgot my water twice. ;( But I understand she was busy so it didn't bug me very much. My kids love breakfast anytime any day all day and even they weren't very impressed. The service was mediocre, although the staff was friendly I really don't want to sit and hear their gossip amongst eachother. I had never had a burnt omelet and pancake in my life! Truly a disappointment, I visited based off of the reviews and truly was disappointed. Ice tea was flavorless as if it was water with food coloring yet it gave a bitter taste at end, biscuits and gravy were completely flavorless lacking so much to be desired. Ok so I was excited to try this place based on the reviews but I was disappointed. Ok here we go.. you go in and seat yourself. It's small and not a lot of room but we where greeted right away and come to the table right away to take our drink order. The customer service was great. Horrible, first of all we waited over 15 min . There was barely any people there. The waitress , older lady was so clueless and forgetful. She messed up on the drinks and meals.. fries were hard and the burger was so burnt but cold . Not sure if this food was precooked . I paid over $30 and I surely didnt leave a tip . I waited a while for my food and for the check.. I will not be coming here again.. awful , I rather drive to Bay Area and pay more for a good meal. read more

The location was nice and but the food was not what we expected based on other reviews and what people have told us my brother had ordered a Waffle Slam you would think this waffle would be huge well guess again it was very very very very thin and very very very very small not worth the money or food looks like a children's plate plus someone who is on a diet lol but he let the server know and they gave him another waffle for free but he was still hungry we decided we will never return here plus the table had nats as well on them. The servers are very unorganized. First i tried to call in an order and they weren't answering the phone. I got seated and i noticed that people that came in after us they got their food before us. It took 30 mins to take our order. The waffle i had ordered was so thin and hard. I ordered biscuit and gravy and i got 1 biscuit. I will not be going back. Just lost a loyal customer. Tried this place twice. First time we went and gave breakfast a try. Got an omelet with biscuits and gravy on the side. The omelet had a Spanish sauce on it which was way too sweet and the biscuits tasted like the refrigerated dough from the cans in the grocery store. Overall the breakfast was disappointing. Went a second time for dinner to give it another chance and had a mushroom burger with onion rings. The onion rings were obviously bought from the frozen food section at the grocery store, and the ranch I asked for also tasted store bought. It's not hard to make a batter and fry some onions or make ranch. Could have done it myself at home. The burger was also over-cooked and burnt on the outside when I asked for medium. It was disappointing since the new location looks nice on the inside and it would have been nice to have a good breakfast spot right down the street, but the food isn't much to desire here. read more

I've eaten here at Bob's a dozen or so times, and I have NEVER been disappointed! I love the corned beef and hash breakfast! Everything else there has been delicious in my opinion! Friendly service, reasonable prices! very small inside, so limited seating. Every time I've eaten here, it's been fresh food, fresh coffee, and clean (have seen it not so clean only once, when patrons left within moments of one another ). I really wanted to like this place, however, it just didn't meet my expectations from the reviews I had read. There was approximately 40 people in the restaurant when we walked in and we took the only available table. It was about 5 minutes before someone came to take our order and then in excess of 45 minutes before our meal came. The prices were extremely reasonable and there was plenty of food, but not very good, I ended up leaving over half my meal on my plate. The waitresses did keep coming back and filling my coffee while I was waiting. The couple sitting at the table behind me told the waitress they had been waiting for over 40 min. and ask where their food was, so it was not only me. Will not return. read more

I visited Bob's a few years ago as I am a local and a friend of mine had raved about the place. I went in by myself on a Saturday morning and ordered chicken fried steak with eggs. The place has old tile on the ground and old dining room furniture. It reminded me of my elementary school cafeteria, (dirty and badly needed to be updated). When my food came out, I was ready to give Bob's the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong in giving Bob's a chance. Their chicken fried steak was the worst I had ever tasted and I couldn't make it past two bites. Their gravy was starchy and had no flavor. It all tasted processed and like they just warmed up frozen ingredients. I am baffled how this place has so many good reviews and how my friend liked it as much as he did. I only had two bites of my chicken fried steak, paid and walked out. I went home and poured myself a bowl of cereal which was 10 times better than this place. Bob's is a typical Ceres restaurant or place of business. They all conduct their business half assed and provide you with half assed products. I don't know how businesses stay open in this town. I'll stick to Turlock and Modesto when I go out for a meal. read more

We waited 30 minutes for two badly cooked eggs (how can you mess up eggs???) and a waffle that looked like it was freshly out of the freezer and into a toaster. Tried country potatoes with grilled onions and jalapeños along with runny eggs. Their biscuit with gravy was also great.

Food was great as it usually is, a great too, but the waitress is horribly slow and inattentive. She seems more interested in talking on her cell phone rather than waiting on customers, there are three tables with customers,ours included, and the other one has almost finished their meal, but the third tables has had their order sitting in the service window for about 10 minutes now while she was her phone. The waitress' sister(wears glasses) and is the complete opposite. If it wasn't for this waitress we'd be back more often. read more
