Ever since my friend, Pisan Paulie, and his wife, Gloria, raved about BCK, it was on my food bucket list. On a beautiful, top-down day, finally made the 70+ mile trip. Open daily at 7, w various closing hours. Parking lot full, always a good sign. Decided to sit at the counter. Brianna brought a menu, and took my beverage order. Tracy profusely apologized (twice) for what she thought was the long wait time. I was surprised bc I hadn't waited long. Torn between the meatloaf and open-faced hot turkey dinner, Tracy steered me to the turkey. It was delicious, plenty of turkey (smothered w a nice full-bodied gravy), fries, and baked beans. Really hit the spot. Spoke w a bunch of locals, as well as non-local regulars that drive over from 30+ miles away. Intrigued by the dessert choices, but decided that would have to wait for another day. Bob's is a welcoming, homey restaurant, as comfortable as an old slipper, as cool as a butterfly kiss. Tracy (and Brianna) both exceptional. 5 stars

Wandering around MA/VT today. Absolutely delicious chili cheese dog and sweet warm hospitality inside. Will return to try other items on menu. Desserts sounded delicious. Chuck wagon casserole sounded intriguing. Polish dishes sounded tempting. Another time.

If you want good clean home cooking this is the spot! Old time Mom & Pop restaurant - great breakfast, fluffy fruit filled pancakes, they have polish sausages and real maple syrup ! We just went for dinner first time and are so happy. We usually have breakfast - I had cod and partner had the chicken . Delish home made mash and beans, the chicken was so fresh and not greasy at all- headed home with desserts. It's like visiting grandma !! A must to dine Post skiing a few miles away !! And the staff are super friendly too!

An absolute hidden gem in New Lebanon!…read more OMG, what an adorable little cafe! We were in New Lebanon and looking for somewhere to eat around 7:30 PM. Being a small town, there weren't many options still open, so we called to see if they were still serving dinner. The sweetest lady answered and told us their kitchen closed at 8:00 PM, but they would still be happy to take us. We're SO glad we called! The moment we walked in, we loved the place. It was beautifully decorated, with fresh wildflowers they had picked themselves, the tables were set so nicely, and everything had such a warm, cozy, welcoming feel. We were seated immediately and had ice water at the table right away. The service from beginning to end was seriously top-notch. Then the wonderful lady helping us, and I'm so sorry we didn't get her name, brought out freshly baked mini blueberry muffins. OH. MY. GOODNESS. They were DELICIOUS. That was the moment we looked at each other and knew dinner was going to be good. And it absolutely was! Our daughter ordered an omelette, my wife had the steak frites, and I ordered the chicken piccata. Every single dish was delicious. My wife also ordered a blueberry cosmo, which she loved! At this point we were completely stuffed, but there was no way we were leaving without trying dessert. We ordered the red velvet cake AND the chocolate croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Did we need both? Absolutely not. Did we finish them anyway? Pretty much! The food was just THAT good. We kept telling ourselves we were full and somehow kept taking another bite. What really made this place special, though, was the hospitality. We came in close to closing time, and instead of ever making us feel rushed or like an inconvenience, they welcomed us with kindness and gave us a wonderful dinner experience. That says a lot about a place. 5 stars all the way. If you're anywhere near New Lebanon, do yourself a favor and stop here. Places like this deserve all the support and business they can get. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. We will DEFINITELY be back, and next time we're coming for breakfast!

I picked up a matcha latte here, and my friend catered a delicious brunch from this spot!…read more I appreciated that the matcha didn't come pre-sweetened. It could've been whisked/blended a bit better (separated a bit), but I was happy with it overall. Regarding the catering, I was a big fan of the avocado toast (super fresh and creamy and nice flavor) and tasty muffins (I enjoyed the blueberry muffin.) It takes a bit to make drinks / food, so be sure to allocate some time--this isn't one of the factory-like cafes that churn out drinks / whip out ready-made food. The interior is cute and has assorted offerings of general foods/supplies that were fun to peruse.

Since we…read morejust moved to the area and this place seemed pretty busy, I thought I'd try one of their pies. Stopped in yesterday and got a raspberry pie and a "walnut" brownie for myself. I ate the brownie on the drive home. It was dry, hard and contained pecans, not walnuts. Not a big deal for me since I like both walnuts and pecans. But still ... The pie might be the second worst raspberry pie I've purchased (second only to one that never gelled). First, it's salty. EW! It should be sweet and tangy. Heck, my husband wouldn't mind tart. But salty? No. Second, I paid $22 for a pie with what looks and tastes like canned raspberries. The filling if very syrupy, gooey. Either that or they misused ClearJel rather than tapioca or corn starch for thickening. It's so thick, it coats the back of your throat, like you've eaten corn syrup poured over smashed raspberries. It doesn't taste like the appropriate amount of sugar was added to the filling either. It does not taste fresh at all. It tastes like one I could have picked up at the grocery store. As a matter of fact, I think Hannaford's has mini pies that are far better.

I was interested in visiting Jake's Java after learning Jake was serving in the U.S. Air Force when his aircraft crashed during a training exercise, claiming the lives of all eight crew members on board. As a combat veteran myself, I wanted to support a local business that honors service and sacrifice. This was my first visit to Jake's, and I'm so glad I stopped by. Not only was the food excellent, but it was clearly made with love. In fact, that describes the entire atmosphere. The owner, Jake's mother Kim, is a wonderful woman, and if you stop by, you won't regret taking a moment to say hello. I highly recommend coming by for a cup of coffee, a sandwich, or simply to pay your respects. Outside, you'll find eight beautifully crafted picnic tables, each dedicated to one of the fallen service members. Take a seat, enjoy the moment, and spend some time reflecting on the heroes whose legacy lives on here.
