    Buffalo Chicken Salad
    David T.

It's been a minute since I've been to a Bob's Diner. I do enjoy the diner scene. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, a side of fries and chocolate java cake for dessert. The buffalo sauce on the salad was a good amount of spicy heat. It was a big salad. The side of fries was a little small for the price. I got a lot a tiny pieces like it was either the bottom of the bag or end of the ones they just cooked. The chocolate in the chocolate Java cake hide the Java but was still tasty. My server was always ready with a refill for my tea. Definitely a place where you know you'll get a simple good meal

Service was great. Was seated immediately after I walked in by a friendly employee. My waitress was also extremely friendly and made helpful recommendations for food. I ultimately ordered a turkey bacon Swiss sandwich which turned out to be fantastic and was delivered to me within 5 minutes of ordering. In the restaurant there is music playing and bring orange colors giving it a bit of an oldies feel which I appreciated. Over very nice 5 star experience would recommend

This is very staple diner food. Nothing special, nothing to go out of your way for. Just a solid diner where you'll have a diner quality breakfast. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever Country fried steak was good, the gravy was above average and biscuits were cooked well. The shredded hashbrowns tasted like McDonald's hash browns, very greasy, and I loved it. Make sure to order them extra crispy I will say the pancakes were a let down. Yes they're "big" as in circumference but they were very thin. Not much fluff going on there which is a big disappointment. Always want my pancakes better than the food itself but the savory dishes were good Our waitress was very sweet and super tentative. Sammy I think her name was The restaurant is cute and gives GREAT diner vibes. I will say there are a few churches within walking distance so I imagine it'll get packed after service because there isn't a crazy amount of seating. In the summer they do have outdoor seating which is always a pleasure

This place is adorable... The interior is so bright and cheerful, and the staff is great. If you're there for breakfast, I highly recommend the eggs Benedict. It just needed a touch more sauce I think. I also got the peanut butter pie to go, so I'm excited to try that. We had Beatrice as our server. Definitely a great place to stop by when you're in the Carnegie area and needing a diner food fix!

    Corned beef hash breakfast. :)

Thank you Sylvia for the best service this morning. We loved our breakfast. While this was my first visit, it will not be my last.

In my opinion, Bob's Diner makes the best Chicken Fried Steak in town. The outside breading is crunchy and the interior meat is extremely tender. The meat must have been beaten to a pulp with a meat tenderizer and brined because I have been back at least 5 times just for this. I also normally add a side of corned beef hash to round out this satisfying breakfast. On a few occasions, the wait was too long so I was not able to get in to eat; I later found out that they were short staffed that day.

Was in the area and wanted some breakfast. Significant other has eaten here before so he pulled in. Walked in and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice. I got the Bobs eggs benny, hit the spot. Loved the thick cut of ham. And their breakfast potatoes were amazing. Very reasonably priced. It was a holiday so it wasn't too busy when we were there but the after church crowd did begin to roll in when we were leaving which we were very happy about. They were closing an hour early which was completely understandable.

They serve breakfast all day if you're looking for a little mom and pop chain. They have big salads with lots of flavor. The staff is nice and there is outdoor seating for nice days as well. The burgers are big and the kids mac and cheese is house made and not from a box!

Double Dads. Too much food. Three eggs!

I got the crispy chicken salad. Then chicken had no taste or flavor. Other than that the people were very pleasant.

His son took me to my table. The waitress was attentive and very friendly. I ordered the honey pecan crusted salmon and opted for carrots and broccoli as my side. The waitress brought bread and a garlic/oil dish to dip the bread in. The garlic/oil was so yummy, I could've just ate the bread without any dinner! I was also surprised to see I got a large portion of food when the plate came out! Most places these days you don't get much bang for your buck. The salmon was delicious, and so were the carrots and broccoli. My soda was flat and I asked the waitress about it and she fixed it. I ordered the flourless chocolate torte for dessert and liked that too. I wonder what the ingredients were, because there was a bit of spice to it that I couldn't quite place my finger on. The only improvements I think could be made are the ambience was loud. There was a large party in the dining room next to me and they were a loud family with children running and screaming all over the place (I understand this isn't within the realm of control for the restaurant). That itself wasn't unpleasant, it would just be nice if there was some strategic sound dampening. On their website I had signed up for a $10 coupon that never came in my email (not sure if I'm supposed to wait days for it...?). Another thing I noticed on their website is that they charge $10 for a split plate. I'm assuming this means if you come as two people and decide to order one plate of food but split it, they charge for that. That seems really weird. People shouldn't be charged for splitting their food, if that's what that is. They also charge you a transaction fee for using a credit card. Next time I'm in Pittsburgh I'll be coming back. It was nice to eat something that wasn't a burger and fries, since there are so many of those types of places in Pittsburgh.

The service was very good with descriptions of the menu items that allowed us to make informed decisions. The stuffed hot peppers were as good as I have had anywhere. The sausage was spicy the way I like and the portion was enough to be an entree. Will go back just to order this again. There were four of us and everyone was very pleased with the look, taste, and amount of their meals. All of us had take-home which was packaged by our server. It was creamy without being heavy, tasted very authentic, and the noodles were homemade. You could tell a lot of care went into it. We also had the pizza bread, which was perfect to share and really well done. They do simple things with really good ingredients and with care from what I gathered I ordered the Dubai chocolate martini and it was really good too. There were a lot of good drink options so I'd imagine there's something for everyone My family had the onion and mushroom soup and loved it as well. Everything that came out was just consistently great. They change the menu often, which I really appreciate, and everything tastes fresh and high quality. We tried to make a reservation but nothing was available. My friend insisted on putting our name on a standby list and the restaurant was extremely excited to call us with a cancellation, which they said rarely happens. I was excited to introduce my friends to this spot! Our party was not the easiest as we have a few dietary restrictions, like one GF person and one vegetarian. We wanted a few of the starters and noticed that getting the antipasto might be the most cost-efficient way. My friend asked if we might have all the meat on one plate and the veggies on another to be considerate of the vegetarian (me) and they nicely accommodated that request. The GF friend was excited to order a Dubai chocolate martini as she thought she would be getting these flavors without the dough she can't have, but it came around the rim and sprinkled in the drink and she had to send it back, which they also quickly accommodated. They also had several mocktails on the menu, really nice options made with NA spirits. I ordered one of these. I usually get the gnocchi here but on this visit they had a pasta special with corn that was like a taste of just-ended summer and I went with that. It was delicious and my friends enjoyed their meals as well. There is a dessert bar next door but service on this night was taking an extremely long time so we didn't get into any desserts. Service on this particular visit was not quite what I've been used to on previous visits overall, and one of my friends mentioned it afterward to the GM who was very accountable and responsive. He had also stopped by to personally check on us during our meal, and it's nice to get a sense that a place genuinely cares about your customer experience. I will continue to come back.
