Busy spot. Tight seating. Worth it! Solid prices, tasty eats and friendly service. Loved their skillet. Good specials. Coffee was strong enough.

It's the quintessential diner experience. Cheap, local homemade ingredients and kitchy decorations. Worth a visit! The corn beef hash is a standout and made locally with nice stringy pieces of beef.

Reliably great comfort breakfasts at Bob's. No waiting on a frigid January morning. Quick and hearty. Local and casual skiers all feel welcome

Great classic diner.. you know it's good when they stay busy all morning.. the service was fluid and attentive. I had the house made corned beef hash and poached eggs along with a blueberry short stack. It all came out just as I wanted.. Hot! Highly recommended for that classic diner with local flavor..

We definitely make the pilgrimage up to Manchester for Bob's breakfast! Still hands down one of the best hash and eggs I have ever had! We exclusively eat at Bobs whenever we are in Manchester and it's the only time I will eat hash and eggs. I refuse to eat this dish anywhere else! The service is also amazing. The servers remember you and will give you what you want without asking! They even know I take hot water and lemon in the mornings. Really amazing spot. Bobs is the best!

Cute place, old school style diner, friendly staff. Food came out quickly. Server never came back to check on us, which was fine as it was busy, but I ordered soup and never got it. Wasn't able to tell her because she never came to check on us. Food was really good though. You do get charged extra for real maple syrup when ordering pancakes.

It's so refreshing to have some hot delicious diner food compared to the overpriced and bland food options from the Stratton Mountain village. Like a classic diner, get your coffee that comes with free hot refills. The green jean skillet tastes delicious with over easy eggs topped with hot sauce with a side order of ham. It was enough to fill me up with left overs. The pancakes and waffles are extra special if you like Vermont maple syrup (extra $2 charge) otherwise they are very much classic breakfast food. French toast tasted how it should. The waitress was very friendly as well as this nice elderly gentleman who came around ensuring we got refills on our coffee so we never had an empty cup even though they had a full house. Coming back again!

This is an old school diner off the main route in Manchester. It took a while to place our order but was a reasonable time to get the food. I got the Carol's club substituted with wheat bread and onion rings and this meal hit the spot for me. The only downside is their hours it's not 24/7 but still worth the effort to try!

They still have specific male- female bathrooms which could be made available to both or 100 of the new sex orientations. My only problem is their hours. Most breakfast places seat diners during their open hours. If it says 1:30pm then the staff can get out by 2:30. This restaurant tends to push people away - who are there for brunch - at about 12:15. Not sure the owners know how much business they are actually turning away since it's not apparent that once someone has been turned away over an hour before their end of day never bother to return. Also now that tips aren't technically taxed I would think employees would like a full day of work. Perhaps they need 2 shifts of wait staff and/or open for breakfast at 8:00am rather than 7:00. I moved to Manchester 3 yrs ago and have been baffled by the shortage of people willing to work full time or employers willing to add part-time workers on their busy days (Friday through Monday) There must be a way to keep staff and accommodate early afternoon brunch (10-2pm) diners. Manchester is basically a resort town that has kept its small town feel - which is a positive - but most restaurants in the area depend on seasonal diners. (Ski season, Fall foliage (leaf peepers, Summer equestrian, musical, play events and quiet during "mud season" so many businesses take a break some time during April/May. Manchester is an odd duck of a town - more New England than upstate NY or E. Pennsylvania. Some old locals insist on calling lunch - dinner and dinner supper which just confuses anyone who isn't a member of the DAR. (Daughters of the American Revolution) I have friends here who had relatives come over on the Mayflower - it was obviously a VERY crowded boat.

I don't know if it's a consignment shop/restaurant but it really makes the vibe fun and different. We got two apps to split as we weren't too hungry and there was also only one vegan entree and I am not a mushroom and eggplant fan. The Ezme was so delicious and the fresh baked pita was as perfect! The hummus we got warm, which I'd never had before but it was also very very good, although the burst of flavor in the Ezme definitely overshadowed the hummus. The only reason for 4 stars is the server seemed to have forgotten about us. We never received any plates or napkins and we both ran out of water and were waiting to get some more. It was the perfect setting for a memorable holiday dinner. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly, attentive service from our server, Jamie. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and rich with history, making us feel like we had stepped back in time. We started with an Old Fashioned made with Smugglers' Notch bourbon for me and a refreshing Blueberry Refresher for my wife. The homemade cranberry fritters served with Vermont maple butter were an outstanding way to begin the meal. Next came bowls of the delicious Cheddar & Ale Onion Soup, followed by the Maple Butter & Walnut Encrusted Brie served with Vermont apples and toasted baguette--an excellent combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors. Our entrees were preceded by fresh field greens salads with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, along with warm, freshly baked bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the Traditional Pot Roast--tender brisket slow-cooked in the tavern's Circa 1790 Amber Ale with rich pan gravy. My wife chose the Scrod with pumpkin seeds, butter, Chardonnay, and lemon, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully balanced. To finish, we shared the Cranberry & Apple Crisp topped with local vanilla ice cream and whipped cream--a fittingly New England ending to an exceptional meal. The combination of outstanding food, welcoming hospitality, and the unique historic atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're visiting Manchester, Ye Olde Tavern is well worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy classic Vermont cuisine in one of the state's most historic settings.

Mainly attributable to SERVICE which was HORRIFYING!! Ambiance was charming home setting outdoors and rustic wood vibe indoors. The food was average/iffy. Garlic peppercorn steak was encrusted with a layer of seasoning and yet it wasn't that seasoned in terms of flavor, was just ok. Ordered medium and yet it looked black on the outside and medium rare inside and beyond tough - I could not even cut the steak, I ended up just ended eating the whole thing straight up. So strange and not worth $30 at all. The Idaho skins were good just wish the potatoes were crispier. The signature applewood smoked wings were so overpriced and terrible. I could not taste any flavor, it tasted like boiled wings expensive 6 for $18. The worst part: service, or rather lack thereof.!! Upon entering, we waited awhile for someone to come greet and seat us and seemed to judge us when we clarifying what tavern was when we were asked if we wanted tavern or dining room. We were seated and took a LONG time until finally our server came to take our order. Then took an even longer time to get our food almost 20minutes. The other table that got seated after us the order the same wings at the same time, got their food 10 minutes earlier than us and their server was present throughout the meal . Ours just was nowhere to be seen throughout the entire time. Finally the food came, we ate quick, and asked for the check. We couldn't even find our server to get the check! The other table has already gotten the check and signing the bill. We then got up and tried to flag down our waiter to for the check and takeout box and after a long time she gave them but disappeared again for a long time so we tried to flag her down, again, so we could actually pay. When we did, she rudely said "do you see the things im carrying? can you wait?" Mind you, we have been waiting for nearly another 20 minutes after we finished eating for any appearance from the waiter. We tried asking the other waiter who was actually present if we could but said we needed to get our actual server. We finally finished the whole transaction (20min waiting for food, 20min spent flagging down the waiter for the check/giving the money), and frustrated we wasted so much time here while on a trip for just OK food, we just left because the server then disappeared AGAIN after settling our bill. Hilariously enough, the only time she seemed to care about us was when we left and she went RUNNING after us to ask us "you did not tip enough, did I do something wrong?" in a rude and fake overly concerned way. After we briefly explained, she proceeds to loudly shame us saying "you supposed to tip me xyz because I provide you a service and if not you're really disrespectful". The audacity. Service was beyond horrible!!! and still demanding higher tips calling customers disrespectful when we did nothing but wait and get yelled at by her for not waiting even longer and still needing to directly pay her extra tips. During that scolding we got, we saw her name tag: Avery. Overall: Foods ok. LONG WAIT for food and check. Horrifying service by one server: Avery. Perhaps other servers were better like the one who took care of the table who sat down at the same time and left 20 minutes earlier meanwhile our service was way slower, not as friendly, demanding tips, and public scolds/shames customers for it. This experience totally soured my impression of this place and now I'm questioning why people even recommended this place to me and why I went along with it!

We ultimately decided to leave. To make matters worse, the server attending the table next to us had about as much warmth as a block of ice, which didn't help the overall atmosphere.
