Best bacon, egg and cheese sandwich ever? Quite possibly. Perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Crispy bacon. On a nice and soft 'hard' roll. Phenomenal. And my GF's eggs with corned beef hash was also incredible. Our waitress was incredibly efficient and very friendly. I forget her name but she was working Wednesday right before closing. 12:30p.

    Cheers

Doesn't take credit cards, cash only. Most people don't carry cash so it might be a good idea to take credit cards.

It was the perfect setting for a memorable holiday dinner. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly, attentive service from our server, Jamie. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and rich with history, making us feel like we had stepped back in time. We started with an Old Fashioned made with Smugglers' Notch bourbon for me and a refreshing Blueberry Refresher for my wife. The homemade cranberry fritters served with Vermont maple butter were an outstanding way to begin the meal. Next came bowls of the delicious Cheddar & Ale Onion Soup, followed by the Maple Butter & Walnut Encrusted Brie served with Vermont apples and toasted baguette--an excellent combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors. Our entrees were preceded by fresh field greens salads with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, along with warm, freshly baked bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the Traditional Pot Roast--tender brisket slow-cooked in the tavern's Circa 1790 Amber Ale with rich pan gravy. My wife chose the Scrod with pumpkin seeds, butter, Chardonnay, and lemon, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully balanced. To finish, we shared the Cranberry & Apple Crisp topped with local vanilla ice cream and whipped cream--a fittingly New England ending to an exceptional meal. The combination of outstanding food, welcoming hospitality, and the unique historic atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're visiting Manchester, Ye Olde Tavern is well worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy classic Vermont cuisine in one of the state's most historic settings.

The waitress brought out cranberry fritters with maple butter which were soooo good!! My fiancé ordered the crab cakes and devoured them. Then we got our salads and bread. Salads were delicious, but I had to save room for my main course so I didn't eat the bread. My fiancé loves his seafood Alfredo! My NY Sirloin was ok... it was VERY tough and a bit on the fatty side, but it was tasty. We finished off with a S'more's hot sundae which was gone in about 3 minutes (if that)

The menu is limited, and the prices a bit high (10 oz. prime rib for $37. Yikes!). Also, you don't get rolls or a salad, etc. with your meal and the price of appetizers is a bit steep, not to mention that's a limited selection also. Meals for my husband and me were very disappointing. My balsamic basil chicken was dry and so overcooked that I couldn't eat half of it because I literally couldn't cut into it, the seasonal vegetables were okay but nothing to write home about. My husband's fish was not an impressively large piece and that too was dry. we were hoping to find a restaurant closer to home so we could avoid having to always drive long distances When we want to eat out. Sadly, our search continues. If they can't cook chicken or haddock, I'm very apprehensive about trying something more complicated to cook (and more expensive).

Food was so good I didn't even consider taking a picture. Steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare as requested) and very flavorful. Mid-winter margarita was so yum I had to get 2. Carrot cake for dessert was super moist and flavorful but that wasn't even the best part! they now serve TWO slices per order!!!

It's attached to the golf course, sort of. I am not sure it's ADA approved as you need to climb steep steps to get in. Portions were generous and the young server was trying really hard to please. She was super friendly, knew the menu really well, offered us tons of options for our selections and was very attentive the entire time. There was live music, a one man keyboardist who played easy listening tunes. We really enjoyed it :) this is a "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of place- the food was absolutely fantastic. We had 3, $25 strip steak special dinners and all were tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. A Reuben sandwich had real homemade corned beef on it, kids meals were tasty and exactly as described. Vegetable cookery was fantastic, homemade dressings and plentiful portions. We will definitely be back, and we hope the chef and Tina will still be there! Glad to have found this diamond in the rough- go try it, good food for a great price! -The Belden Family
