The hotdogs were questionable (and tough) and the chili was cold. Take your money up the road and purchase food worth eating.

My daughter suggested we head to Starland Yard to celebrate her graduation from college. Starland is a neat spot with several stationary restaurants and a few food trucks that roll in...different ones every day. We chose the Naked Dog. Man...it was really worth it. For some, a $12 hot dog might seem steep. It was a gourmet dog and It came with fries, so I thought that was fair. My dog was perfect. Fresh bread...incredible toppings and ample portions. The fries on the side were seasoned very well also. It was a great hot dog meal. The rest of our party had other menu items from Dog: 1) Cheese fries - highly rated 2) Loaded fries--- VERY highly rated 3) cheeseburger - highly rated (it looked incredible) 4) a dog with jalapeños, etc. - very highly rated I have chased good hot dogs all over America and as far as Switzerland. The naked dog was a top 5 experience. When in Savannah, they are worth finding--- I know I will find them again...

During the COVID-19 quarantine we have had several local food trucks from the area rotate for lunch/dinner during the week. I am so sad I only made it to The Naked Dog once before I moved back north. I am a hot dog lover, so imagine my difficulty in not ordering every variation from the menu! My husband and I decided on a few to split (not knowing their size): a classic Naked dog with classic toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish); a slaw dog; a Reuben dog; and a Chicago dog. If I could be speechless in a written Yelp review, I'd leave it at that. The dogs were jumbo sized, toppings were plentiful, tasty and temperature just right. The slaw dog was my absolute favorite - the cole slaw had the perfect consistency and was simple enough to not overpower the dog itself. The Reuben was a legit sandwich on a burger, pastrami and all. The dressing was perfect. The Chicago was classic and wonderful, complete with the unique green Chicago relish. Last but not least, smoothies! What better pair than a smoothie and a dog? We tried peach and strawberry. They were fruity, had chunks of real fruit and were not overly sweet. Just amazing! Y'all, please go have a hotdog or three on my behalf until I'm able to return to Savannah again!

It was close to closing for the market, but he stayed a while afterwards to tell us about his pecan business and how he has named it after his daughter (Alake). He offered us so many samples so that we could try a few of the most popular items. The flavors are so incredible (Key Lime Pie, Strawberry, Butterscotch, Caramel, spicy, etc.) there were so many different flavors to choose from. I knew that I wanted to purchase a few smaller bags, and he was so kind to give us a few $ off the more we purchased. Listening to his story of how he was a school teacher and has degrees in Environmental Science and Engineering was just amazing to me (as an educator)! He knew that he wanted to get started in this business and it has been successful. I am not sure how else to find his pecans other than finding him at the Market at Forsyth Park, but there is website (not many options for purchasing online) and I am sure you can contact him for more information. I do recommend checking out this local business to support him and his family. These pecans were so delicious and I am already thinking about how I should have purchased more. Thanks Robert for the fun time at your food booth and good luck! I will be back to see you next time I am in Savannah.

Roti Rolls has become such a market staple over the years. I ordered the Mother Clucker and it was delicious as ever. I was weary since the cheese wasn't as melts as usually, but the flavor was still on point. The staff prepped and delivered within minutes. I'm used to them being overwhelmingly busy. I was surprised they weren't this time. Thankfully, it tasted as good as always so please support them as I want this staple to stay! Notes for consuming, it gets JUICY! Always pick up extra napkins and hold carefully so you don't spill in yourself which I manage to do every time. Also try the creole mac n cheese! It was devilishly creamy and cheesy. It will not disappoint. Despite being a hot muggy day Roti Rolls delivered quality product and was the perfect meal to enjoy in the grass and listen to the live music.

Disappointing wings - I got the LPWs and found them over-seasoned and, oddly, a little sweet. They were also "wet" vs "dry," which is my preference. I only had one of the six in my order. Came with fries, which were pretty good and I also got a side of corn on the cob, which rocked. I didn't add anything (butter, salt, etc) to it and it was delicious. Probably not a food truck I'll seek out again - but that corn was good!

We went to go wine and vodka tasting at Firefly Distillery and there was this lovely food truck out there. Now my friend and I LOVE to try new food so we were happy to see this truck out there. Looking at the menu, we weren't sure what to order and know if it was good or not so we asked the lovely young lady working if she could recommend something. She ended up choosing the "Geechee Island Wings". Man... she did us no wrong. Seriously, straight up... no lie at all... Those wings were the best wings I've EVER had in my life. No exaggeration at all.. these wings were AMAZING. They had a balance of sweet, spice, and salt and they were juicy and wonderful. We had no idea that these wings would be that good. After we had each taken a bite, my friend and I looked at each other and said the same thing, "I think these might be the best wings I've ever had." If only I lived in the Charleston area... I wish I did because then I'd be eating these wings every day.
