Service was terrible called for ignition keys for a bike, said that they could do it and gave me $300 quote for it which was fine. Price was not the problem. For some reason they said they would proceed to text me asking for information about a time later on in the day they could send someone out. Never received a text and/or call. Called an hour later to ask if a tech could come out, they asked for what vehicle I proceeded to say to was for a bike, the man hung up. 0/10 in my book no value or honor in the trade. This place is a small mom & pop type key/lock store. I came here to get a few spares made of my room/house keys. There was a pretty good variety of key options and they're quick to make them. There was hardly any wait and upon selection which key style I wanted, in about a minute, the keys were cut. They aren't really about convos and try to get you in and out quickly. I went home to try the keys out and they work well! Now I've got a house shaped house key and a green rifle shaped room key. I often get compliments about them and I'd definitely come back to Bob's if I ever needed another key duplicated. They're inexpensive and quick in service. I don't have any complaints except that it's a bit run down and several keys you can tell have been there for many years as can be inferred by the yellow tint to what appears to be stained from sun exposure over time. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're looking to make a spare key. read more

Wonderful service from proud veteran, David Senn. He didn't flinch at repairing a botched dead bolt motorhome door job. An inexperienced independent,lone wolf locksmith was dispatched by my rv roadside assistance the previous day. It became a nightmare who just wanted more money. I sent Bilco a photo of botched lock job,and smiling David arrived in a real locksmith van with real tools. Not an unlettered vehicle with a Husky tool grab bag. David left briefly to source a part,and even called me to give an update. Upon his return my beloved classic motorhome had a high security Schlage dead bolt. Rip Off artist in disguise .I had a broken key and a new fob .They briefly looked at the car , checked the key fob . Proclaimed not sure what the issue is with the fob , wont program . Needs a new key $225.00 and we can order it in ! They have not a care in the world for any of your problems . Thugs ! Took it to Action Locksmith they traded out the working internals on the old fob and $20.00 later I had a key and fob that worked and started the car . I tipped the guy another $20 and thanked them ! Of course my house door failed late Friday afternoon. I called several businesses. Only Bob's responded. Since he was in Salt LaKe at that time, I suggested he come Monday. Nope. He showed up 40 minutes later and charged exactly what his phone estimate had been. We called for service at 1 am because we got locked out of our residence We were told that a lock smith would arrive within 20-30 minutes. After 40 minutes we called to check status on our lock smith. We were told that our technician was cancelled and to call someone else...after trusting this company and waiting for 40 minutes! As far as I'm concerned, they should've let us know if they were unable to fullfil what we needed BEFORE we called and not left us in harm's way for longer than necessary. It is not difficult to make a phone call to ensure the safety of the patrons using your service, especially late night. read more

I do admit that blame may partially reside with Verizon*** If no stars or Negative stars were an option, they earned it. After being harassed by the (owner?) I deleted my detailed review, as it may be partially Verizon's fault for my frustrations. Will just state a simple quick fact: WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH HOW LONG SERVICE TOOK. Also no call NOTIFYING ME when they were over original ETA. Just frustrating all around. They have saved money twice, once by cutting a key from a valet key to get my chipped key out my trunk. They charged me $50 to reprogram a smart key others quoted $150. I know they will always be there in a jam. Recently there have been many locksmith cons going around. My daughter lost my keys and we didn't have a spare. So after I wrote my last review I started having problems with the ignition so I called the owner and talked to him and he seemed more then willing to help me out. Because I work all day I had to have my boyfriend meet with the tech that came out to Orem where my car decided to break down. I think the technician was a little upset that he had to drive to Orem to look at the issue. Then the tech was telling my boyfriend that he wanted to charge me to install the ignition and I would rather trust a car guy to do that then a lock smith. The tech did bring up some good points like that the original guy should have never pulled the ignition lock cylinder apart and tried to convince me that it would be better to cut a new key. I'm pretty the guy I talk to at the store didn't have any costumer service skills. If they had explained that it would be better to cut a key instead of repin the lock cylinder instead of just taking it without discussing it first I would have been ok as long as it was a gm key. When I talked to the owner I said I would re write my review but I've been busy with work, moving amoung other things and I'm getting a little sick and tired of getting calls and message to please rewrite my review that its kind of pissing me off. So still not satisfied with the customer service but at least I have a working car now. read more
