We made eye contact multiple times, but neither acknowledged me or indicated they'd be with me shortly. I waited while they continued their conversation. One eventually walked into another room, and the other stepped away to take a phone call--without saying a word to me. At no point was I greeted or even acknowledged, so I left and went to America's Tire & Auto Service down the street. They had me in and out in about 20 minutes and were already at my car when I arrived. Customer service starts with basic acknowledgment. Unfortunately, that was completely absent here. read more

I stopped by the local Sam's Club to try to find a set of tires for my Ford Edge - and I thought they'd be able to help me out since it's a fairly common size of vehicle. However, that wasn't the case. It was suggested to me to come check out Bob's. I was immediately greeted kindly and asked what I was looking for. During the maybe 3 seconds that I pulled up the technician had eyed my tires and knew what size I'd be looking for. I ended up wanting a new set and was whisked inside to check out my options. They didn't attempt to up-sell me. Left the choice up to me. Within minutes they had ordered my tires to be delivered to the shop (I assumed from a warehouse) and was told to stop back in 30 minutes and they'd get started. It was quick, easy, and so reassuring that they knew what they were doing. Hopefully I won't need to be a repeat customer for the time being, but I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

The owner is awesome. We were in a bind and needed a rim for one of my Tesla's. Our whole camping trip was going to be ruined. We have 10 people going and we needed this car Vince went out of his way to find us a rim. He finally found one from a wrecking yard. He didn't make a dime on this. I know he spent at least an hour or two finding this for us. He even put the rim and tire on our car without charge. Tesla was going to charge $1000 for the rim and another $600 for the tire. read more

This is probably the WORST place to get tires from, I got my two front tires replaced not too long ago I've had to get them pumped several times, one has a leak I came to get it fixed and they put a janky dollar tree type of plug where the leak was and sent me on my way and said we aren't going to charge this time?! THIS TIME?! When you put a janky plug in my tire to so call "fix it". This place is BS and doesn't care if you are on the road with bad tires. read more

My only complaint is the DISGUSTING bathroom. Pee spots all over the walls, "brown" spots all over the walls, no toilet seat covers for the brown and stained toilet seat, no faucet handles - just pliers to turn the water on and off. No paper towels to dry my hands. This is how you present yourself as a business? This is the bathroom you present to the women and children who come in for service? I went in with a slow leak in one of my tires. The gentleman that greeted me was kind and didn't take advantage of a girl. He repaired my tire that had a nail in it and recommended good used tires for when I'm ready to replace mine. Never charged me for the repair on my one tire while I was there. I ran over a nail a couple of weeks ago and had trouble finding a replacement tire quickly due to the size of my tires being somewhat uncommon. It was going to cost me upwards of $250.00 just to order one online or to go to my dealership for a replacement. Since Bob's is near my house, I decided to give them a try and carried my tire in. A guy named Chris helped me out and found they had the exact tire I needed and for under $100.00, they not only replaced the tire, but they put it on my car for me as well. They sold me a used tire with a tire plug (yes, a plug, not patch) in the sidewall. Well, it blew out on the way home of course. When I brought it back in, they didn't have any more used tires so they up sold me on a new one. Out the door, between both transactions, I paid 130 dollars. I can go to any tire shop and get a single new tire mounted and balanced for $130 WITHOUT risk of death or injury when a tire sidewall blows out at 70mph because of negligence. Plus the time I wasted in both travel and changing my own tire to the spare once again. Only buy used from them if you're super desperate, and make sure to do your own thorough inspection of the tire prior before buying it. How my tire passed visual inspection and leak testing with a PLUG in the sidewall is beyond me. I've been going here years without problems until today. That's why I'm keeping it at 2 stars instead of 1. Vince stop keeping crap tires in your shop man, it's a huge liability. read more

Never had a situation where I recieved 0 of the services I paid for. I came here because it was a little cheaper than where I usually go, America's tires. I recieved none of the services I paid for. They mounted and balanced the tires and rims I brought in just before a Tahoe trip. Tires and steering wheel had dangerous vibrations and shakes through the car to the point that it alarmed my wife! I immediately brought my truck back and spoke with Vince to whom I explained the situation. He proceeded to blame my rims and tires. I didn't appreciate him blaming me right off the bat. But I went with it. I asked Vince the general manager, "if a rim is bent or tires are bad, wouldn't your mechanics tell me that instead of just sending me on my way?" His reply shocked me - "no". I asked to have him take a look again because my truck wasn't doing this before I brought it to his shop. He said fine but he has to charge me to rebalance them, which I already paid once! I decided to get a 2nd opinion from my trusty America's Tires on Greenback. They found water in the tires. I'd say that Bob's Quality Tires really dropped the ball and that there's definitely not any quality in theire service. But wait the lack of customer service has only begun.... Today 3/5/19 I just got off the phone with GM Vince who told me there will be no refund for any of the services. He threw phrases at me such as "my guys try their best to get water out" "unbalanced tires are NOT dangerous". Claimed I should have let him have a second look but I didn't wait last Sunday. Vince you told me I can wait but I probably wont get it and now you blame me, again, for not waiting? You wanted to charge me. Id rather go to a trusted shop with integrity. And pay them instead of you again. Bob's Quality tires FAILED to provide proper tire mounting and FAILED to provide safe tire balance. Bobs failed at the only 2 things their shop does. Would you risk a vacation, safety, or just peace of mind by going to Bob's? read more

I was given a price for four tires over the phone by Bob's Quality of $256.50, which they stated included installation mount and balancing. When I got there, I wasn't given a written quote or work order, they just did the installation of the tires and I was given a bill of $741.50. When I told the employee that it wasn't the price that was discussed over the phone, they said it was too bad and that since they're mounted, I have to pay for them as they can't be returned. I finally paid the amount and left as I didn't feel I had an option. I have since filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair as I found out it's the law for any repair shop to provide a written quote prior to doing work. Bobs tires has always got it done for me over a period of several years. However, after Bob retires and when Vince took over the service level has gone downhill considerably. Vince is OK but he always is looking for a way to get deeper into your pocket he especially doesn't like when you buy tires from somewhere else and are only looking for the tires to be mounted buy them. The last two times I did business with them. I called them first to see if they had my tire size in stock and Vincent advised me either they didn't or they only had a pair of two which were not fully compatible with my vehicle. After buying my tires from elsewhere and contacting Vince for service, he would always heckle me for not buying my tires with him and then would get upset after I reminded him that I have called him previously and he wasn't able to get the tires . It's too bad that Vince is so abrasive because it makes me regret going to them as the cheapest option. Doesn't matter the situation Vince always trying to get customers to spend more money. Some of his sales tactics are pretty cringy. You'll get a good dose of this while waiting for service. You'll hear it in action..The work finally gets done, it's always a pain having to deal with friction with him each time ...look for a job there, so if you have extra time on your hands to heckle around with Vance trying to upsell you or or berate you for not buying tires from him bobs will get it done! If they can find a way to stop Vince from interacting with the customers completely and maybe get someone with a little more friendliness I'd consider coming them 5 stars read more

Excellent service! Nice employees. Came in with my 2012 Honda Accord looking for a set of four. In & and out in less than 30 minutes. Tires came with a 1-year road hazard warranty and 60k mile warranty! That was 4 years ago and my tires are still going strong. Came in recently (2020) and had another set of four put on in less than 30 min! My 2016 Honda CR-V never looked better, came with the same warranty as the ones I received before. Tony, Larry and Chris were a huge help and I strongly recommend this place of business. Down to earth as it gets. read more

My family has been coming to bob's for years. I always trust their opinion. Every time I go there Vince always helps me out. He is always polite and takes care of us. I've gone to other major tire shops before to have a new tire repaired after driving over a nail and they tried to sell me a new tire. I drive over to Bob's tire and they patch up the tire no problem and it's been 3 years since the patch. Since then they have seen me for many other patches recently. They always take care of me. I was visiting from the North Bay and had one of my tires go out. My girlfriend asked around town and an employee at the local Costco in Folsom recommended Bobs Quality tires. I was only going to replace the one tire but, I was so impressed with this shop and there professionalism that I ended up buying 4 Cooper grand touring GT tires. I applied for Snap credit through Discover which is something they offer at the shop, and now I'm all set with sweet tires, that come with a 70,000 mile warranty!!! Honestly, I've never been to a shop that has better service in my life. Hey are super fast and efficient. I drove up from the North Bay.......that's how excellent this shop is!!!! I like my used tire shops the way I like my women... Cheap, dirty, and a great rack! Wait... What? Ok, so not really. I don't like my women cheap, and I don't like my tire shops dirty. Actually, I don't really care if they are dirty... I mean, it is a tire shop for crying out loud! Anyway... What about Bob? Bob's Quality tire doesn't flaunt a 27 point inspection with every service. They don't wash your car, or kiss your ass, and they don't have a waiting room with comfy couch, free coffee, free snacks, and a big screen TV... What they do have is great prices and quick service! I used to live out this way, which is the only reason I knew they existed. Over the years, and I've had them do a few (ok several) flat repairs, replace a couple tires, and most recently I had them mount and balance a new set of tires I bought online. I pulled in with the tires in the back of the Jeep, guy walks out to the front as I'm getting out of the Jeep, asks what he can help me with. I say I got new tires in the back, need the old ones off, new ones on. He says "just a minute, let me make sure one of the stalls is clear", Comes back out, tells me to pull around back, and they had my Jeep off the ground almost before my feet hit the ground! The first two guys had the Jeep up, and were doing the dismount, then all of a sudden a third comes out and starts mounting the new tires to the rims. They had the new tires put on, and me back in my Jeep in about 20 minutes, and for about half the cost of anyone else I called. Seriously...
