Love this place! I always order 1 lb of large shrimp and 1lb clam strips. Both items are always cooked well and the mild dipping sauce is delicious. Always make sure to check your food before you leave otherwise you're screwed. If you didn't get what you ordered and you leave it is no longer their responsibility. They have a note on the door to remind you. I picked up my food once and almost forgot to check my bags. I'm glad I did because there was catfish in my bag instead of clam strips. The woman behind the counter said they have similar abbreviations. So, since I caught their mistake before I left they gave me the right food with no problem. They even gave me a pop while I waited but Im sure that isn't something they do often. I have been going to Bob,s Shrimp for 15 years. However over the course of the last few months, the jumbos are no longer as large as they were in the past 20 years. It is really disappointing. It seems as if they are the size of the old large or extra large shrimp. Don't get me wrong, the shrimp are still very good, but no longer are the Jumbos truly the size of the Jumbos that were served for the last 20 years Relatively new customers won't notice but true long time aficionados of Bob's have noticed and are disappointed. This place is horrible!! We went last night...got a perch dinner and a lb of jumbo shrimp. Grease was starting to come through the bag as the guy put it on the counter for us to take. No flavor in the shrimp, the perch was so-so, fries were soggy and so was the zucchini. If you order a dinner, it doesnt say on the menu board what is in the dinner. There is a sign up that says if they forget anything in your order and you dont check it all before you leave, they are not responsible for it. And if you are considering going, bring cash because thats all they take. When we got home, the bags were falling apart from all the grease! Years ago, they were a kick ass place to eat. I dont know if when they moved they changed owners or they just dont care, but find a better place to eat!! We regretted not heading to outback where they had unlimited shrimp. News flash you will have ppl who are new to the area come into you establishment and it may take them a minute or two to place an order and maybe just maybe they will have a question. Had the worst experience in food almost here. Last night my father and I stopped in to get some Large shrimp and fish. The lady working the counter told us they only had jumbo. They were out of large and extra large. So we ordered the jumbo and some smelt and perch. Soon, after two other gentleman came in and ordered large and she said the would make some for them. I then asked her why we couldn't get large if they could, and she sarcastically said that they only had jumbo but now they have large. I was befuddled. My dad really wanted large. Then another man came in and wanted jumbo and she told him they only had large. My dad then got up and asked her if he could get large since she gave the other two men large, and the last man could have his jumbo. I was irate by then and let her have it. She argued back with me and I told her that her cuscustomer service was horrible and I will never be back. I am from here but live out of town now and I mentioned that fact. The whole situation was shady. And the smelt was too hard and the fish had no flavor. The shrimp was ok. I will not be back and I am calling management about the affair. I found Bob's shrimp on accident a few years ago and I've been a huge fan ever since. The food (x-large shrimp) is THEE BOMB ! well I went to my favorite shrimp house on 6/10/15 when I pulled up it looked closed no cars , no customers ! Very unusual for Bob's so I thought they were closed until another patron pulled up and entered, I go to order my X-Lrg pound and they don't have them anymore, alternative was Large. The food came in record time looked tasty but there was no sauce, crackers or napkins so I asked for hot sauce and of course naps the lady says we no longer give you sauce it's .50 I was like oooh so after 16.00 you don't give sauce anymore !! I immediately ask if it was under new management and she said no. People something is not right here ! The food was no longer mouth watering, no sauce or napkins and a rude lady that had no answers but we don't do it anymore. I'd like you to share your experience if you gave gone to Bob's shrimp.
