This was my very first time patronizing this place after all my years of living over here I was hungry and wanted some fish so I decided to stop through after reading reviews. I ordered the lake perch fish hush puppies with fries and coleslaw and the Order of mozzarella cheese sticks I must say the customer service to young lady gave was phenomenal she was very helpful but once I got home and starting my food I noticed that my fish was overcooked fried exceptionally way too hard it was almost Beyond edible and it didn't taste at all that fresh maybe I came on a bad day but definitely that fish was not fresh nor was it seasoned I've have had better fish honestly at J&J and sharks the hush puppies was good mozzarella cheese stick was okay and the fries was not often at fries but I think they used the fries that's made by potato product which most restaurants do unless they cut their own fries fresh overall the prices was decent the customer service was great I may give it another try another day another time truly really did wanted to give him more stars than what I did but the food just wouldn't like me read more

Great customer service and the even better food. A bit pricey, but you do get a good amount of fish for the price (enough for three people.) There's no combos or anything like that. There doesn't seem to be any included fries (although he offered crackers.) Fish is battered and fried fresh. Took about five minutes to deep fry and get it to me. Comes out perfectly dry and the oil looks/tastes clean for the most part. They have a few homemade sauces as well (don't think they have tartar, just BBQ, hotsauce and mild sauce.) The sauces themselves are nothing to write home about. Should honestly be getting more business than they do especially since the guy working there is pretty chill. read more

Chicago style shrimp is, ask what it is to owner, then get ass kicked in the balls, while having spices shoved in our mouth, then we have 14 seconds to eat our meal of shrimp, and bathroom is 44$. Ambiance is 22 stars when i do math, this place is 1 star atm, because Luigi on Star power, and raided kitchen, so ambience bettter; only reason why okay now. Only kitchen has good lighting. Luigi ate at customer food. he even get fire power to heat it up. Eat here pls. no good, but i put Good rating cuz I like the very brave of dirt on the foot. Chicago Style Shrimp with their homemade cocktail sauce are exceptional. Passed by this place many times and never stopped till I found out their shrimp were caught wild in the Gulf. Plan on making this my go to place for shrimp. read more

Went there for Friday dinner bought pound of Lake Perch and Pound of Cat fish , got home ,, Lake perch was old and turning bad had that fishy taste, So I turned to the Catfish , told my wife dont taste like catfish , she agreed , One thing we can say it it was hot when I got home 20 minute ride , but hot dont make me want to go back for garbage fish , I can cook better then that my breading is better then the cornmeal they use , maybe they should try this Flour garlic Parsley salt pepper little cornmeal I soak the f fish in milk for 1 hour press out excess milk and shake in batter mix in zip lock bag then deep fry ,until they float bottom line , wasted my money wasted my time I could have gotten 4 fish sandwiches from Burger King for 14 bucks then spend 30 at this joint , Well I learned a lesson , Never going back here , I hope some one reads this and considers what Im saying , old fish here read more

I was going to order catfish fillets and was told they come in strips. I asked how much fish do I get for the lrg? The guy was on the phone and working the register with no gloves on. He then went to the cooler grabbed a handful of strips and tossed them in a bowl to weigh. They were already breaded. He then showed me the amount and asked if I wanted it? its pretty much a greasy spoon with deep friend everything. I ordered delievery not knowing what to expect after reading the menu which they threw about 5 on my front porch. I got the Jumbo Shrimp meal and the Chicken Salad Wrap. The meal was reminiscent of Goose island but better. Unlike Goose Island, I prefer my shrimp fried hard. I had plenty of shrimp in the meal. PLEASE LOOSE THE MILKY MACARONI OR COLESLAW. Unless its fresh or homemade it's gross. I could appreciate a small fruit or side salad. The wrap was better than I expected. The Chicken Salad is pretty tasty similar to mine. I will go back. There is no other seafood place in my area. Like every other place in Hyde it closes early. I hope as they get busy the stay open a little later and the get rid of the gross milky sides that really don't get eaten. read more

If you like old fashioned breaded shrimp this place will meet your expectations. The staff is friendly the shrimps are priced reasonably especially the jumbos. They are clean and tasty. This place was better when it was Frank's. We stopped in for carry out. First, they ran out of the jumbo shrimp, so we couldn't get a pound, but he gave us an extra 1/4 of the Chicago style to make it up, which was fine. All the shrimp tasted good, and Chicago style has a nice flavor to the batter. On to the sides. We got some fries and an assortment of onion rings, cauliflower, and mushrooms. Most of those were ok until I opened the onion rings. They were all burnt, drying out, and downright disgusting. Being that I have worked in the food industry for years, serving up black, burnt to a crisp food SOULD be considered unacceptable. No one wants to pay for garbage. Shrimp were good. They need a better selection of sauces. Goose island sauce would be great with these. They also are a bit more pricey than most shrimp places. $20 for a lb of shrimp is more than most places. I would go back because of closeness to home. Not as often, because of price. I ordered1/4 lbs of jumbo Chicago style shrimp and 1/4lbs jumbo garlic shrimp I wish I had a menu, I paid over $9.00for four shrimps.
