Came to Bobs with a party of 8, we had reservations waited at the bar until we were sat. The service at the bar was quick and friendly. The vibe is what you'd expect from a steakhouse. Here's what I had: Steak and lobster 5/5. Get your lobster garlic and it's amazing! My steak was a little smaller than expected but still delicious Gin martini with olives. 5/5 stirred not shaken for me!

We have been to Bob's in Plano many times and this location did not match the level of service or quality we are used to. I don't want to be picky but spending $200 for an app and 2 entrees ( wine and a cocktail) I expect a little more polish. I won't name the server but he was not on top of things. Valet is hard to get to when there's traffic but that's just how it is downtown. I don't recall the manager stopping by to check in after I food came out. With all of the fantastic options in Austin, this location needs to step it up.

1st time coming to Bob's and LOVED IT!! From the service, to the ambiance, to the food, they hit the mark in every aspect. The espresso martini was one of the best I've had - it wasn't too strong or too weak, just the right amount (bonus points for the coffee beans!). The appetizers and entrees were also amazing and came out in great time. I was more than satisfied (and full!) at the end of the meal. I will definitely be returning for their Happy Hour specials to try something different!

We had an all-around wonderful experience. The service was speedy and friendly, and the steak was the best we've ever had. The portions are generous. Three of us split a "slice" of chocolate cake, which was 4 layers and a foot tall!

Enjoyed our meal. I think it was okay for a steakhouse. I'm super picky and it was just meat and potatoes so it was fine. Steak was a little salty but okay. Potato was good.

This is a great location for a downtown Austin dining experience. The restaurant has a great and energetic environment. It is good for group dining but also has a huge bar that makes it easy for solo diners as well. The service was really good as well. The food was really mediocre and probably would put it lower on the list of food experiences for that reason. The steak was not cooked to the requested temperature desired and the overall quality was really low and texturally chewy. The 16oz fried lobster appetizer was good but not spectacular. Typically I expect to have an exceptional dining experience when you pick a restaurant like this, but it falls short. However the service was great!

Is there happy hour on the rooftop?

Hailey, Unfortunately we do not have happy hour on the roof top.

So our Anniversary is in a few weeks and I'm cruising yelp to get some Steak House ideas. I go to Bobs web site to check the Menu and Prices, no Prices. Am I missing something? I want to know what the prices are. Whats the big secret?

in the range of about $47 - $69 depending on the cut if I remember correctly. Why they hide the pricing I don't know but I agree with you that's pretty annoying. I like the place and the food and free pickles. Worth it.

My husband want to share a tomahawk steak do they have one there?

Yes, they do. It's a 32oz USDA prime steak and it comes with your choice of potato and a glazed carrot.

For sides we ordered the plantains and carrots both were flavorful and amazing to eat. We will be back!

I was a little apprehensive for a couple of reasons: 1-I don't eat seafood. 2-I'm often leery of corporate/chain-style places. *Yes, I go to them but often times not good experiences. Let me tell you something, my concerns vanished almost as soon as we walked in. My cousin made reservations and we were sat immediately. They were pretty busy however, we had such a lovely time that we shut the place down. We were there for almost four hours! It's easy to get lost in conversation with a good glass of wine (or a bottle + several glasses after that lol), good company, food, and a place with great ambiance. The ambiance was spot on. The decor and lighting are exquisite. I can see why so many people choose Truluck's for a special occasion or date night. It's upscale & magical. Truly a premium dinner destination. Service was incredible. Talk about premium...we were treated like royalty. Curtis went above and beyond for us. Such a nice & sweet guy. Even at the end of the evening when we shut the place down, the manager took pics of us on our behalf and chatted with us as well. He didn't make us feel rushed or that we weren't wanted there any longer. Food: We had sides for the table that included asparagus, truffle fries, Lyonnaise potatoes, and Parker House-style rolls. All delicious. I had the tomato salad (minus dressing) with black pepper & it was perfect as a summer main. It paired wonderfully with the asparagus & bread. My cousin had the filet mignon cooked at medium. I had a couple of bites and that was one delicious steak. Her daughter had the Ora King Salmon and she absolutely loved it. She said it was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My boyfriend and my cousin's sister-in-law had the lobster bisque and they were in heaven. They couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Must have been because it had a strong lobster smell (remember, I don't do seafood). My boyfriend loves a good wedge salad so he had one with his soup. He was definitely jiving on its goodness. The sister-in-law had the jumbo lump crab cake and raved about the texture and flavor. As I mentioned earlier, the wine was flowing. However, I opted for still water with orange & lemon slices. We all had still with either citrus or cucumber slices. My boyfriend and I kind of shared a mini-Manhattan. By kind of I mean I had three sips. That was a proper Manhattan. Cheers to the incredible mixologists on staff. We rounded the evening out with two desserts for the table, Baked Alaska (see vids) & Key Lime Pie. Holy sugar were they good! I was pleasantly surprised by this experience and look forward to going back again. It's nice to be able to spend time with family in such a luxurious setting. Impeccable all around.
