We had a lovely date night here. We started with the Aris Cigar appetizer and martinis. The Lychee martini was an exceptional, non-martini tasting, cocktail. We also devoured the bread and dipping sides. For the main course we had the catch of the day and a ribeye. Both were excellent and cooked perfectly. The carrots and Aris puree (i.e. squash and potato, mashed potatoes) complimented the entrees well, but it was probably a little too much food. Went to Aris for the first time last night after a few friends recommended. Good location and nice to have easy valet (though he did write our phone number down incorrectly which made getting the car after dinner slightly stressful). Upon entering the hostess stand was un-manned, but after a few minutes someone came out to seat us. We were taken to our table and promptly greeted by our server who brought us an amuse bouche of bone broth. I enjoyed it but thought it odd that at no point did anyone ask about allergies or dietary restrictions. My husband is pescetarian so obviously he could not drink the bone broth even though they poured it for him. Not a huge deal, but a little surprised at this caliber of restaurant. I ordered a non alc Venetian spritz which was a lot like an alcoholic aperol spritz. It was really bright and lovely. Would definitely order again. They have complimentary bread service with 3 delicious offerings to put on bread. Our server was attentive and had good recommendations. We ordered the octopus (DO NOT miss this one! Probably some of the best I have ever had!), the fattoush salad, though simple is incredibly delicious and well balanced. Highly recommend as well. For mains I got the short rib which was delicious- though not life changing and husband ordered risotto with artichoke which was spectacular. Dessert truthfully was a bit of a throwaway. We got the Basque pistachio cheesecake. I love a Basque cheesecake which is meant to be light and fluffy souffle like. This was not that. It was a mediocre standard cheesecake. Would definitely go back but probably would skip dessert in the future. All in all, Aris is worth your time and money. Reservations are highly suggested. With that being said I made mine right before I drove there. They offer valet parking if you're in to that. I parked myself and walked over. It's a nice location with onsite parking which is somewhat rare when you're downtown. I was warmly greeted and quickly taken to my table. It's a nice vibe, and I noticed large groups and various tables that were celebrating. They have a nice cocktail and wine menu, I found a few nice nonalcoholic drinks as well. I ordered sparkling water and a Venetian spritz. They brought over a palate cleanser. It was a warm beef broth, I wasn't a huge fan. But I think others might appreciate it more than I did. They brought over the bread service. Warm Focaccia and olive bread served with olive marmalade, sumac butter & olive oil. Next I moved on to the Beetroot. It's kinda of a beet stuffed with 5 cheeses, pistachio, hazelnut dukkah and a crème fraiche garnish. I've never had anything like it before. I enjoyed it. For the main course I ordered the dry aged ribeye with the Aris butter, the Moroccan Tiger Shrimp and the Aris purée. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were amazing and the purée was a good compliment to the meal. The sauce on the shrimp is perfection. I am not sure where the source those shrimp from but they were some of the best I have had in the states. I will come back to try more of the menu. The Austin food scene is really getting amazing - an Israeli / Mediterranean steakhouse. Really exciting. In a city that has a good amount of excellent steaks, here is a new one that is differentiated! The service was great - our server was very friendly, really new her stuff, and told us she would be on top of timing the dishes and that was really cool since alot of places arent that good with that. Everything was really good - the breads and sauces and i have to say some of the best fries i've had. Israeli salad with hummus is excellent. We went with the filet and the fish - I have to say I wasn't super hungry but as much as i liked the filet (cooked, seasoned very nicely), I think i need to return for ribeye / NY Strip. The fish was delicious served with risotto. Very nice Manhattan to start the meal. They have an extensive wine list and really wanted an Israeli wine but opted not to. Also have to say the decor & vibe was nice too. This is a place I will want to return to for sure (entering the rotation with my grill, cast iron, and several great steakhouses in ATX!) Aris has claimed the top spot in our steak dinner rotation! We've long been loyal to 3 Forks, Perry's, and Bulevar, but Aris just raised the bar. Part of the SOF Hospitality group, Aris delivers a Mediterranean/Israeli-inspired menu concept. Google "Aris - SOF Hospitality" for the full story. The restaurant decor is modern and warm. It's a bit noisy, but not a distraction. Service is impeccable. Our server guided us through our entire dining experience. Valet parking is available, but we found parking just a two-minute walk away. We kicked things off with two flawless martinis, they arrived exactly as ordered, complete with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. Then the complimentary bread servic arrived. Oh man this was dangerously good. The focaccia was our favorite, with the olive loaf close behind. The sumac butter and whipped olive oil marmalade? Unexpected and absolutely delicious. it took all of our willpower to not devour this bread service. The tomato salad App was a standout: four unique tomato preparations, Moroccan olives, jalapeño, egg yolk, and feta. If you're a tomato lover, this dish is a must. We both ordered the dry-aged rib-eye. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked medium rare to perfection. Our veggie side was equally good. Because this was a celebratory dinner, we were comped a chocolate dessert that was beyond decadent. Aris will $et you back but is well worth it. One of the best Valentine's Day dinners l've experienced. Matt is honestly the best bar manager in the business right now. He slings delicious drinks without the pretentious snobbery like some of the other spots in town. Frank is the sweetest GM, always touching tables and accommodating requests. Seth has a fantastic attitude and makes everyone feel welcome with his charming personality. Derrick made it a point to come and say hi and open our wine for us. He is such a sweetheart and clearly an asset to the team. There's not one staff member that I interacted with on Saturday night that didn't make me laugh, smile, or warm inside. Aris is located towards the back of a new office building off of 6th street but there are drives on both 5th and 6th. Valet parking is $8 and it's unclear if you have to valet (surprising since there is plenty of office parking on premise). The space has a warm vibe with booth and table seating (high tops that have a view of the dry aging room) with greenery around. A bar dominates the center of the restaurant. This place gets packed pretty quickly on the weekends. We had a reservation for 5 at 8:30 and we were finally seated nearly 30 minutes after our reservation. I think the table was slow to leave. For food: - breads were very tasty with some dips - octopus - perfectly tender with Mediterranean flavors. A big hit - we ended up ordering another one. - short ribs - decadently tender with a honey glaze. I'd share this dish because it is rich rich rich. Comes with some bone marrow to make it even better - Moroccan Tiger Shrimp - yummy flavors on this one - bone in 21 day aged NY Strip. Exactly what you'd want from a dry aged steak. That slight unctuousness and grilled to a perfect med rare. This might be my new favorite restaurant in town! I came here earlier this spring to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it absolutely delivered on all fronts for a special occasion. First off, they have their own parking which is a huge plus, especially with how challenging that's becoming for downtown spots. The moment you walk in you're greeted with a stunning interior, highlighted by a unique shade of orange that really sets the tone and unlike anything I've seen in other restaurant designs. The menu leans into Mediterranean flavors with standout dishes like the Israeli salad and hiramasa crudo, but also offers more classic steakhouse items like tenderloin, broccolini, and asparagus. Aris is a welcome addition to Austin. I have been to their sister restaurant in Houston and was wow'd. The ambiance is upscale and has plenty of style. I do think the tables are a little close together, I think a lot of places have been guilty of this. The service is very friendly and prompt. Multiple people chatted with us from the server to the water filler and people who brought out our food. They provided great recommendations. The ribeye was grilled very nicely and we appreciated the little show when they cut it for us. A stand out was the Israeli salad, it paired perfectly with the rich steak. For app we got the hamachi crudo. I thought the texture was off but it did not taste fishy. The sauce and toppings with the crudo had a nice taste. As for dessert the cheesecake was stellar. Note: I asked the waiter for a mocktail and there was no discretion about it + $15 for it. I didn't actually like it so I sent it back and it was still on our check. Pay attention. The valet also gave me a whole speech about how I wasn't allowed to park in the retail spot, it's valet only. Dude, the spots were all opened and as far as I know, you count as retail. OK, talk about a vibe here. The ambience in there is just amazing and it does not matter what time of day you go. This place is great just to go have drinks, a night out, girls dinner, even a date. I have to say that everything I ordered there was great and I definitely will keep going back to keep trying the rest of the menu. Not one dish that I got was disappointing. You definitely have to try the beats. It comes with some amazing goat cheese in it that is just phenomenal. You also get complementary bread and the oils that it comes with is just divine. The beef tartar looked very interesting but the type of meat that's mixed in there is just so delicious that this has to be one of the best beef tartare that I have had in Austin so far. I also shared the tomahawk steak, which is a very nice presentation and that steak was like butter. They definitely cook everything here to perfection. From the moment we sat down to leaving everything was perfect. The cigars and beets are a can't miss. We went for happy hour but did not receive a happy hour menu we had to ask and even then it felt somewhat rude like we were being cheap. The food itself was good! The portions could be a little larger for the price and the add ons (like butter and sauces) were over priced in my opinion. The fatosh salad was phenomenal. Crab bucatini was okay... not work $40 something dollars. The steak was cooked well. Cocktails were also good. Saw this place on social. I love mediterranean food, so I thought a steakhouse would be interesting to try. I booked a reservation for our anniversary on a Sunday night. It was Super Bowl night, so it was fairly empty. Since we weren't too hungry we just shared 4 appetizers. We had a plate of complimentary bread that was warm. It was a bit hard to cut though with our knife. I felt like I may had cut the board it was on too which left marks! Hiramasa crudo - Really refreshing dish. Wow, wife & I came here for our anniversary and were blown away. The ambiance was just our speed & I think we had the best seat in the house. We started off with an Espresso Martini & an Old Fashion, both made as advertised. The complimentary bread with 3 dipping sauces were off the chart! My wife got the NY Strip, which I prefer a more tender cut but boy was that the best NY Strip we ever had, grilled perfect to medium rare. I got the short rib which was so tender and had so much flavor. We got the carrots and the mushrooms as sides, which complimented the entrees. I would say very good but if ranking the entire meal I would say the sides were the least favorite and being al la carte you could pass or only one. Again, we're still delicious. Now dessert, my wife loves crème brûlée, which I like to try but would not say I'm a huge fan but just like the NY Stripe, the brûlée was the best we've ever ate and I would say maybe the best dessert I ever tasted. A new hidden gem brought to Clarksville welcomed us to an exquisite night of dining, from start to finish; drink and food. Every sip and bite is worth slowing down and appreciating. Some items worth trying: The Aris G&T is not any gin and tonic, but instead carefully crafted with Gin Mare Mediterranean and a non-disruptive garnish of Kalamata Olives. Aris Cigar is a must. A crispy phyllo exterior, filled with spiced ground beef and a side hummus filled with flavor of pine nuts, cardamom and harissa. Once again, savor the bites and enjoy the full experience. As is the sous vide beet. That's right. Get the beet. Like a blooming onion, that bursts from the inside with a blend of 5 cheeses. Even better? Douglas gave us the honor of an edible presentation as he described how to best enjoy it. Of course, the main show is a cut of meat. We went with the 14-day dry aged ribeye, spinalis on. Amazing how the fat content was not overwhelming, and instead enough to provide added flavor to the natural au jus. We did not know there was an added cost to the carving board experience, but we did enjoy the added bone marrow. Finally, a perfect serving of cheesecake that fused cardamom chantilly and rose gel so you are guaranteed exciting flavors with the perfectly crumbled crust. We were told it was cooked for about 9 hours including 6 hours of Sous vide. I had the Aris burger which I thought was average. Not bad but excellent either. I thought the burger only had tasted on the outside. Truffle fries were great. Oysters for half a dozen which was amazing. Definitely fresh when we had it. We also had Israeli salad which was not quite as we expected. But it's majority hummus with other ingredients as the toppings. No pita, so it was eaten by it self which was actually good. We ended with a Dubai chocolate which was amazing. If you had Dubai chocolate before, you would know there is some crunchiness in it. They were able to do this crunchiness by including it in the toppings so your bite does feel like you are eating a Dubai chocolate. The ambiance was ok. I think because we're there early? Y'all ! Do not sleep on Aris. It is THAT good! And the happy hour is a great deal - 50% off cocktails! Nowadays, Austin prices are ridiculous so this HH was a pleasant surprise for me. I ended up ordering their Aris martini and I thought it was the BEST martini I had in my life. It had such subtle flavors, but it was also a very clean martini. We started off with the oysters (Zomg the Maine oysters were so clean and the mignonette was so bright). I wanted to order a second round, but my husband stopped me because we already had a million other dishes coming. The bread service is amazing and comes complementary with the mains/entrees. For apps, we ordered the Israeli salad (which has hummus on the bottom), the Aris cigars, and the grilled octopus. I was absolutely enchanted with the Aris cigars - they're like beefy samosa in an egg roll form. They're packed with flavor and then, they're served with a hummus dip in the middle. I thought octopus was super tender, but after hearing all the hype about them, I thought they were simply ...alright. Lastly for apps, we had the Israeli salad -and enjoyed it. Their hummus is so smooth. For our entrees, we ordered a rib-eye and a seared branzino with risotto. I ate a few slices of the ribeye and it's so smoky and strong that it made my branzino pale in comparison. I'm sure if I had just eaten the fish by itself - I would have enjoyed it more but, I thought the ribeye was the better option out of the two. I loved Aris and would come back again! My wife booked Aris to celebrate my birthday, and we came with a group of 12, fully expecting to have a great time and spend a decent amount of money. To start with the positives -- the atmosphere was really nice, the area where they display all the meats was cool to see, and the bar setup was beautiful. The food was also very good. For most of the evening, things went smoothly. However, there were several moments that really highlighted the difference between a good restaurant and a great one -- and ultimately, they're the reason I won't be coming back. 1. Forgotten drink: Our waiter brought everyone's drinks out except one, which he completely forgot. We had to remind him after the rest of our drinks had already been sitting on the table for over 10 minutes. 2. The martini mishap: When the waiter served my wife's martini, the olives fell out and hit the floor before he placed the glass down. We assumed he'd go grab replacements, but that never happened until we specifically asked -- again, after some time had passed. 3. The cake cutting fee -- and the deal breaker: After dinner, we brought out a cake we'd brought ourselves (got permission from the restaurant in advance). The waiter kindly offered to cut it for us and said, "It's just $3." Sounded tacky to charge for, but whatever, it's $3 - fine. When the bill arrived, however, I noticed a $48 "Cake Cutting Fee." When I questioned it, he explained that "it was $3 per SLICE." Now, on what planet does it cost $48 to cut a cookie cake? The waiter did offer to remove the charge "so I wouldn't have a bad experience," but by then, the damage was done. It wasn't about the money -- it was about the principle. The whole thing just came off as incredibly tacky and cheap on their behalf, especially at a restaurant of this caliber (and not surprising, considering their sister restaurant, Doris Metropolitan in Houston, pulls similar moves). Bottom line: Don't nickel and dime your guests. When people have a great experience, they'll come back -- and tell others to do the same. Unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. read more

We had dinner with some friend there for Valentines Day, the location was very chic and high energy which we like. Food and drinks were tasty and ambience was very modern. The appetizers and desserts were delightful but steak was mid, I expected a little more for the price. Overall it was a nice experience and the octopus was a favorite. We went to Aris for my 44th birthday dinner..it was without a doubt one of the best meals of my life. The steaks were succulent and flavorful. The vegetables and sides were unique and imaginative. The plating was beautiful. We had three deserts to celebrate and loved every single bite. The staff was friendly and efficient. My son Max was made an honorary member of the valet crew when he had to go outside for some time to move around. The ambience was upscale yet comfortable. A hidden GEM! This place is new as of 2025 and seriously so good. The happy hour is phenomenal too. Perfect spot for dinner and drinks for a date, friend meet up, or parents in town. Service was really great and everyone was attentive. read more

Haiku Review Beautiful throughout Appetizers steal the show, Ribeye melts away Go here for... the Aris Cigars and the superb service Since this is a new Austin restaurant, I feel it necessary to leave a little more than my typical haiku review and "go here for..." From start to finish, the care and attention that went into our experience was a masterclass in restaurant service. Thank you to the managers Frank and Dan, our waiter Douglass, and the rest of the staff that truly operated as one team - and on just their second day open no less! The interior is gorgeous, each detail carefully designed, with the feature point being a luxurious bar that seems like it's somehow always been there, waiting to be enjoyed. As for chef Hai, his creations only made it that much better. I'm not one for beets but do yourself a favor and order the Beetroot appetizer - sweet and creamy, with an excellent presentation. The Aris Cigar appetizer was even better. The flavor of the beef and the perfect, crispy texture of the two rolls paired with a delicious hummus of cardamom and harissa may have been my favorite plate of the evening. That's not to say the ribeye goes without celebration. A beautiful table side carving was the introduction this dry aged, deliciously sous vide steak deserved. And it did not disappoint from there. Served alongside some tasty bone marrow, each bite seemed to melt away too quickly, leaving us wondering what friends to invite next time so that we can do the grand chef experience carving board! Christmas Eve dinner with my son. He got the porter house. It's supposed to be for two people. I got the Japanese A5 wagyu. We got the Mediterranean salad and the grilled carrots. His steak was cooked good enough. The carrots and salad were great. The Wagyu was very good, but Very rich. It was a great night. I would recommend eating here for a special occasion. We were definitely the most dressed down that night. A lot of gold dresses. I think the porter house could have been better. Steaks always can be better read more

We had an amazing meal at Aris. The food was perfectly prepared, presented, and served. All of the staff was very attentive, managers stopped by to check on us several times. Appetizers were exceptional. Hard to describe how good the "sweetbreads cigar" was. I even enjoyed the roasted beet - and I don't like beets. My NY strip was delicious and cooked exactly right. Cocktails were excellent. Great wine list. Can't wait to go back. read more
