Here is someone who will work on your car in an honest and professional way. No hidden charges, no bait and switch, just down right good old fashioned service. I owe a big thank you to Bob's Wheel Alignment. Richie and the team were very responsive when I arrived with a noisey upper balljoint & damaged sway bar bushing. They moved cars around & got under the rig and diagnosed a loose ball joint in the control arm which they tightened and we made plans to come back for the replacement sway bar bushing. I brought my lowered '89 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350 to Bob's Wheel Alignment in Chatsworth. The owner, Ritchie, is busier than a one arm paper hanger, but he got to my car in a short while and performed the alignment it needed. He also test drives the car before and after the work is done to make sure it is right. The car drives perfectly straight now and takes corners perfect as well. Ritchie is a good guy, and knows his craft well. He is also a bit of a character, and fun to talk too. This shop charged me over $6,000 and did not do good work- The brakes were on wrong for one thing as reported to me by Firestone and American Tire Depo, and cost me more money and damage was caused and I had to call in the Bureau of Automotive Repairs and they had him agree to pay back some of my money and he has not paid a dime! Richie is great!!! This was my second time taking one of my vehicles to him for service and as always he did a great job with the repairs and he worked with me on cost. I am extremely dissatisfied with Bob. Bob used to be my trusted alignment guy. I had been going to him for at least 6 years, I have referred multiple people to his shop, and I really appreciated his work. I appreciated his work because it was always good... well until this last job he did for me. I brought my 2005 Subaru WRX to him after being in a hit and run accident. The car was very hard to steer and it was pulling in different directions when being driven. Bob checked out the car and decided that the rack and pinion needed to be rebuilt because it was leaking fluids. A few days later I got my car back, drove it back home, and realized that it felt WORSE than when I brought it in. I called Bob and asked why the car didn't feel right, but he kept telling me that it was most likely a bad power steering pump. So instead of bringing the car back to him, I brought it to another shop to get a second opinion. The second shop (Valley Pacific), told me that the issue was that the rack and pinion was either poorly rebuilt, or it was not installed correctly. I showed Bob the paper work, so he reluctantly took the car back and spend another few days attempting to fix the issues. I got the car back, it felt better, but it still had some minor pulling and the steering wheel was shaking at high speeds. So I brought the car back to him a 3rd time and he had the person who rebuilt the rack and pinion come look at the car. After they determined that there we no issues, he gave the car back to me and blamed the problem on the power steering pump and a broken engine mount. So I took the car to the Subaru dealership of Sherman Oaks to have them diagnose the issue. The dealership called me a few hours after receiving my car and told me that the rack and pinion had been installed incorrectly by Bob. My insurance company ended up paying the dealership to do the work that Bob had messed up, and after it was all fixed, IT FELT LIKE A BRAND NEW CAR! I later confronted Bob about the rack and pinion, I faxed him proof that the Subaru dealership had to fix his mistakes, and all he could say to me was that he installed everything correctly. He denied that he installed the rack and pinion incorrectly even with two shops saying that he did (one of them being a SUBARU DEALERSHIP). The power steering pump was not the cause of the issue, and all of my motor mounts were perfectly fine. So Bob just was not able to accept the fact that he did not do something correctly, and instead of apologizing or admitting to his mistake, he just denied all accusations. In fact, Bob said "I have replaced more rack and pinions than the Subaru dealership"... a claim that may be true, but he obviously didn't do the work correctly on my car. Bob wrongfully took my insurance money and never completed the job correctly. I asked him how he could let me leave his shop with a car that was driving so poorly, but he had no response. From what I have personally seen, Bob is not trustworthy and he will not own up to his mistakes. I will never go back to Bob because I expect shops to stand behind their work when their clients aren't satisfied with the work. Bob did not care about my satisfaction, it seems like he only cared about my insurance money. Stay away from Bob's shop, go to someone that takes pride in their work. There are better alignment shops in the same area. I personally suggest Valley Pacific. They pay attention to small details, they work on some amazing cars, they do really good work, and they are always reachable if needed. read more

I gotta say, I've had the opposite experience with Bob's that TW had. I just had my car's 60,000 mile checkup at the dealership (it's included in my maintenance package), and less than a week later the engine light is on and the car needs oil AND is pulling to the right. Of course I'm upset, but what do you do? The yahoos at the dealership can't even be bothered to top of my oil, and I should go back to them? So I went to my old standby, Bob's, where Bob and Matt fixed me up right as rain and sent me on my way. I don't know if Bob himself has ever dealt with my car...I usually have Matt check it out. He's super SUPER fast and I've never ever had a problem. The speedy, courteous service alone is worth it to me. Top that off with the fact that I can trust these guys, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I've known Matt for 5-6 years (since BEFORE he was working at Bob's), and trust me when I say that he's absolutely the most trustworthy, reliable, going-out-of-his-way, wouldn't lie to save his life kinda guy you'll ever meet. If he can't fix it, he'll let you know. If he can't do it for the price he thought, he'll let you know. If he knows someone who can do it better, faster, cheaper, he'll let you know. His business is fixing cars, not cheating people out of a buck. read more

I have been going here for alignments for all my cars for 20 years. Bob really knows his stuff and has been doing alignments for a long time. He is the only guy I have found who can do a good 4 wheel alignment on my cars. He answers all my questions with great knowledge and patience. I have been to many alignment shops who just want to get you in and take your money fast. I even had a couple that told me you can't align the rear suspension on my Saab Aero. I pointed out the adjusting slots and the guy just shrugged!!! I don't get the negative reviews for Bob's he does great work and I will go nowhere else!!! read more

About six months ago I called on the phone about what type of car I needed aligned, I was very precise. Bob said he understood it's not a problem so bring it in. Drove all the way there with a totally messed up alignment, squealing tires and all. Bob was rude to me, then said no (even though I told him I'd be willing to pay extra for the extra work) then sent me on my way. I guess he can only align easy cars, with factory setting that are 100 percent stock even though on the phone he said he was capable. FOR CLASSIC CAR GUYS AND GALS First off, the Bob in Bob's Wheel Alignment is a true gentleman, super knowledgable mechanic, and honest . I presented him with the worst project known to classic car restoration - the dreaded body mount and trailing arms bushing replacement on a 1974 corvette. These 40 year old bushings were original and were so worn neither door would shut. Of the 8 bushings the front two are really hard to get to the remaining 6 are absolute nightmares. Even through I removed the interior of the car I do not know how they got in there to remove and replace those rusted out bolts . For anybody familiar with with C3 restoration Bob was even able to replace and revet the reinforcement plates on the rear two bushings so it's just like stock. For that he told me that he sought the advise of a corvette guy because he wanted to do it right. The job took a little bit longer but I am cool with that. Very clean professional job, doors shut like new and the price was FAR below what I expected to pay. I would and do recommend Bob's Wheel Alignment for any suspension and alignment work especially classic cars and hot rods. As side note I discovered Bob's Wheel Alignment while dealing with a front end issue with my F-150 I took it to two different shops neither could diagnose and correct the problem and I was wearing out front tires not to mention the horrible handling. Bob's shop was able to fix the problem which included correcting somebody else's work. I mention that because I read one review where the writer had 6 years of good experiences with Bob's shop and one bad. I'll work with those odds. read more

Never go here. Bob does not care about your vehicles. Save yourself time and money! Brought my Evo X for an alignment after i got new tires. He stripped my rear camber bolts. Bob also told me that he could not adjust the front because the car has frame damage, then tried to sell me a front kit for $60. He still charged me for a full service after working on it for 20 mins. Also was extremely rude. I wasted more than $100 of my hard earn money to Bob. I had to buy new bolts from the dealer. Brought my car to Valley Pacific to get everything installed and aligned without any problem like Bob stated. read more

As a single female, it is so refreshing to be able to trust someone who works on my car. I first came here when Chatsworth Tire tried and failed 3 times to correctly align my Mercedes. They kept telling me their machine said it was fine but it kept pulling to the right. Who cares what the machine says, drive it!! Bob fixed it first time. I have been to him for a few different things on two different cars. Twice when I asked him for advice on whether I needed something fixed he saved me money by telling me that it wasn't necessary. (One a wheel bearing, another a rear alignment). I will go nowhere else. read more
