The first thing I noticed was the SMELL...it's really. ..uh...pungent. I am not used to 'aromas' like that so of course I was initially grossed out. HOWEVER, the smell comes from the chimichurry which they cook all their burgers with. The reason -in my opinion- it smells weird is because it was mixed up with whatever they use to clean too. (I dunno judge for yourself, I'm a cleanfreak so I'm super sensitive) Aaaaanywaaay... As we walked in two guys greeted us, the cashier and the cook. We always like to order whatever they're known for and their burgers sounded great. AND. THEY. WERE!! DELICIOUS!Like home made! The bread was fluffy and fresh, the meat was full of flavor and really juicy. I love chimichurry! I'm looking forward to trying more items from the menu for sure. So delicious! I was in a rush today running around and the spot I normally go to had a huge wait. So I found this gem of a spot in the same location, let's just say it's n my new go to place. The food here is outstanding, best empanadas I have ever had. The sauces, the salads, the plates, all phenomenal. Not to mention Wally and his staff are the definition of customer service. So warm, welcoming and very attentive. So happy to have come across this super yummy Argentinian spot. Next time you're looking for fantastic mediterranean food in you have to come here. Husband and I were craving Mediterranean food after our workout but our go-to spot was closed. I had seen this place walking out of Trader Joe's and had been meaning to try. Yelp said it would close soon so I called and Wally was super friendly and said he would wait for me. The food: I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was okay. Husband had the chicken kabob plate and he loved it. He's asking when we can go again! Now I know what to get! While waiting for the food Wally was chatty and friendly and told me I had to try his empanadas and homemade chimichurri sauce. It did not disappoint! Wow I was so lucky that Trader Joe's was closed because I would've miss this lil of a gem restaurant. It may be called Boca Burgers but they serve Mediterranean food as well The owner and and crew were so friendly plus the food was amazing. We got lucky tonight. We had kabobs and an amazing salad along with with my favorite garlic sauce and hummus. Love this place. Great family atmosphere. The owner introduced me to his daughter. She was as sweet as her dad. I just popped in here to grab a snack with my kids before we go shopping at Trader Joe's next door. The food is Delicious!!! The woman with amazing curly blonde hair is so kind and generous! She offered my daughter a quarter for a gumball machine and offered us bottled water because she didn't want us to have to drink the tap water. YUMMY VEGAN OPTIONS IN CLAREMONT! We had the vegan empanadas--some were filled with spinach and some with mixed veggies. They were SO good. Perfectly seasoned savory fillings with golden brown crispy, flaky crust. I'm still thinking about them the next day... We also had the cauliflower. SO GOOD also. Hidden gem next to Trader Joe's! My family came here for lunch to avoid an explosive toddler and we found food everyone loved...carnivore, vegan, toddler alike. Delicious vegan empanadas with sauce, baba ganoush, falafel, & lamb gyro sandwich. Wish we lived closer to this restaurant. There was only one person working at the time of a weekend lunch crowd and surprisingly he still had a positive attitude and served up food quickly. This has some of the best shawarma gyro I've had, and I've had a lot. Their rice and meat has a taste that is unique from any other Mediterranean place but still tastes great. We chatted as he char grilled the burger and my mouth started watering at that grilled beef aroma. He loaded me up with some french fries and I had to try an empanada as well. My son and I were so sad when Aladdin Jr. on Garey Avenue in Pomona closed. Years later a friend took me to this "burger place that also serves Mediterranean food" in Claremont. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Aladdin Jr. is part of the business! It is the same delicious food we remembered. We usually get the kabobs and they are always juicy, tender, and full of spices. Later, we discovered the empanadas. Now, we always make sure to get a few. All the fillings are great, but we are addicted to the beef! Crispy on the outside, juicy meat on the inside. The salsa that comes with them is fresh. We also like dipping them in the garlic paste. The sides like hummus and tzatziki never disappoint. This is our go to place for Mediterranean and now empanadas. Next time, we want to try the burgers. Found this place while searching for places to eat in the area I was in, just visiting and passing through and we were hungry and found this place and said sure why not let's try it! Boy are we glad we did! This place was fire, when we arrived there was no one there and the guy behind the counter ( who apparently was the cashier, waiter and cook!) greeted us and made us feel very welcomed and explained the menu and answered all our questions and even made suggestions before placing or order. We decided to go with the gentleman's suggestions, two boca burgers and a round of beef empanadas...and bruh...so glad we listened to him. The burgers were juicy, fresh and everything just came together perfectly like a well thought out painting. And then came the beef empanadas, which were just as fire, and the sauce was the highlight of the meal, not sure what they put in that sauce but man it was delicious, the temperature, crisp, taste, quality and combo of the sauce was perfection! All while having excellent customer service, I don't live near this place but if we are ever in the area again I would be most definitely be visiting again! Happened to stop into this place yesterday thinking it was promising.......... Utter disappointment. Upon walking in the older man was immediately notice with a mask on that was looped around one ear a filthy. The place is dirty and needs to be tidy & dusted. I understand COVID put everyone in a hardship but that does not explain the fact that walking in I can see a dirty soda fountain, dirty kitchen equipment, and dirty air vents with visible black dust. My friend ordered a burger with bacon ..... oh we're out of bacon ?!?... ok just the burger & fries.... Oh! We're out of fries too?!? WTF ummmm ok but I can give you a empanada in place of the fries ? Ummm ok I literally watch this man cook the burger and someone else's food without gloves and his required facial cover. Two younger gentlemen came in and ordered kabobs guess what they were serving them cause they too were out. This place reminds me of a family barbecue. For all of its ups and downs. The beverages are cans in a help yourself fridge, they use brand made grocery bought buns and pita bread, they didn't have enough cups for a customers soup and the cooks are just about as good smart as your uncle Rodger, and don't collect payment until after the food is made. But for some reason. It makes you feel at home, and when you taste the food, you forget about all the silly mistakes in the kitchen. The lamb is delicious. The empanadas are delicious. The sauces are amazing. The veggies were surprisingly fresh and flavorful. I was honestly expecting a mediocre dinner. But I am leaving with a belly full and a smile.
