Almost forgot to leave a review! Initially I was sad that Boca Burger was no longer what it used to be, but things change and you have to move on. The owner made it a bit easier to move on, Wally is a great guy with a kind and positive spirit. He cares for each and every one of his customers. What an interesting find! It's a tiny little diner-like corner shop next to the Spot that advertises itself as a burger shop with an Argentinian flair. The pros: the burger was solid. Got a Lily special which is just a cheeseburger with a fried egg and the bread complimented it. Overall, solid. Not mind-blowing, but it wasn't bad. I wish I knew what the Argentina flair was, but I'll probably go and try this place again for the boca burger. Prices are average for a speciality burger, about $6/$7. The service is a bit sluggish and the place had no air conditioning (prob sucks for the workers), so it was a little warm wait, but otherwise, it's a good try if you're a burger fan! read more

Love this restaurant! The owner was really friendly and kind, and talked to us while we waited. We got dinner here a couple days ago and got the beef shawarma plate and the falafel plate, and both were really good! The meat was tender, the rice was very flavorful, and they gave us garlic hummus and pita on the side. I've also gotten the lamb shawarma sandwich and really liked that too. Beware of the sneaky owner, he will upsell you and ask if you want garlic as he is being hospitable but then he charges you extra. I ordered a kabob SANDWICH and I got a plate instead which was more expensive, then he said sorry for the confusion as if he didn't know. Come on buddy, you do this all day, you didn't bother to ask you just took ot upon yourself to run up the bill. To top it off the meat was overseasoned and salty. "Oh is that all you want to order?" He said after I ordered the sandwich. And then the audacity of this guy after I told him I ordered a sandwich, when I went to pay he had also charged me $3 more for a spoonfull of garlic, and then he took it off because he felt guilty. Last time I was here, he was yelling at his worker for being late and they had a huge argument yelling back and forth while I stood there, and he messed up my sandwich. First time here, the food was super tasty! Started with jalapeno popers, so crunchy and cheesy, not too spicy, just right. Then bacon cheeseburger Boca style, the potato buns were soft, the burger meat juicy and savory, the bacon chewy and crunchy, and that chimichurri, omg! Fries were perfectly salty and crunchy, with chili and cheese, yaaas! Also just wanna throw this out there the ranch was really cold, and yummy, which is a plus to me. Super friendly staff, everyone was polite and helpful. As we were leaving the empanadas were fresh out of the oven, yum, had the steak and potato one. I came here to grab a quick bite before meeting my friends at Piano Piano next door, and I was disappointed. I ordered a burger with fries and a drink, and got talked into ordering a beef empanada from the guy at the register. Pros: The guy at the register was very charismatic, and friendly. The establishment was clean. Cons: Didn't get the food I paid for. I sat outside, and the guy comes out with my burger and SWEET POTATO FRIES. Before I even say anything, he says I know they are not your french fries, but they are good.."sweet for a sweet girl" and walks away. Wait what!? I didn't have time to wait to ask for him to bring me my french fries, so I just had the burger. He never brought me my empanada, after finishing my meal I went inside and asked for my beef empanada, he tells me they are out but recommends me get an alternate!? Boca Burger served an abundance of vegetarian/vegan meals for a great price and quality. Through the Yelp app, I ordered takeout for the Veggie burgers and large fries. The order estimated 20-30 minute wait, as the restaurant was busy with dine-ins and other takeout orders. Very understandable and quick wait for its busy hours. For tips, you can leave it on Yelp when you order or cash tip. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant. The owners and cook were energetic and cheerful for everyone's arrival. My friend and I came to this place because of the 4 star rating by other patrons but unfortunately did not receive 4 star service. First off, we were on our lunch break and maybe allotted 40 mins to order, wait for the food and eat. It took almost 10 mins just to place the order and another 30 mins to wait. We ended up requesting to go boxes, which were the smallest possible boxes we could have been given, considered what we ordered. By the time I got back to my office to even eat my lunch, I noticed that my order was incorrect. I ordered the "Wolf Pak with a turkey patty on wheat bread." On the menu there is no mention of mayo or tomatoes but yet I was asked if I wanted them. I specifically said "No mayo, no tomatoes and no pickles." And what did I get??? Mayo, tomatoes AND mushrooms! Not a single table was clean, there were no lids for our drinks, no seasoned fries, empty ketchup/mustard caddy, not to mention the $31 price tag for a burger combo and 6 snack sized empanadas. There is more that I could mention but I just don't have time. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back again. It's sad because we really had high hopes for this place and love supporting small businesses. read more

Boca burger is a fantastic middle eastern food choice. Falafel, kofta kabob, shwarma and great hummus and sauce. Meals with moist and flavorful basmati rice and drilled tomato, pepper and onion. These four star reviews have to be fake. There is no way this place could get more than one star from any real person. The place is dirty including the tables and the kitchen. Even the plastic menus were dirty. The kitchen smells of old grease. We were the only customers in the place the entire 40 minutes we were there. Even so it took them 25 minutes to prepare two wraps. My falafel wrap arrived ice cold except for the warm pieces of felafel in the center which quickly cooled also. However there is live music - the two cooks sang along at the top of their lungs to loud hard rock videos which played the entire time. read more

The chicken shawarma was really good. It was super flavorful and a decent size. The workers were so nice and hospitable. It is a bit of a hole in the wall but thats to be expected. This Place is So good ! The guy is one of the nicest workers ever and the empanadas were very good.

Came here for lunch and was able to enjoy the shaded sitting area right outside. We ordered the lamb gryro sandwich and the Kafta sandwich. Both were authentic, good portion, and super tasty. Was told the Kafta sandwich would take longer but the wait was short as we enjoyed our empanadas (deep fried version). The chicken and beef were excellent but the veggie could have been better like maybe add more cheese or mushroom. Wally, the owner, was really nice, hospitable, and personable. He even offered us free drinks and to join him for more food as he cooked lobster and shrimp that he caught from Newport Beach! I haven't had an offer or an exchange like that unless I was on my travels abroad in Chile or in China so it made me reminiscent of that small village feeling. Best chimichurri I've ever had, and I've had some good chimichurri. It really elevated their beef empanadas and boca burger to something special. Hell, I drank the remaining sauce straight from the little container. They're under new management, so their menu looks a bit different than what's here on Yelp.
