Great location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it's conveniently close to the mall, making it easy to explore the area without constantly needing a car. Complimentary parking is always a huge bonus and definitely appreciated. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The Executive Lounge was nice, but it could be elevated with a better food and beverage selection to make it feel more like a true executive experience. The gym was well equipped, but the air conditioning could be improved, especially during workouts. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, and the location and convenience were the biggest highlights. read more

The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to get a great night's sleep. The gym is amazing and has everything you need for a great workout. So I'm back for another stay and we all have to weigh the reviews and make our own assumptions/decisions. I will say this is my 2nd time here as we have a kid at the nearby college and this was very convenient, I am loyal to the brand, and the price wasn't bad for what I expect. Last time the room was clean, staff were ok, lobby bar and M Lounge were good. The bed in the room was my only real complaint that was not comfortable at all and extremely noisy. This time around; in a renovated room I will admit; staff were as much more inviting; room still clean and the beds much better. Location hasn't changed plenty of dining options, close to the college and not far from the beach (3 miles?) if you want to venture that way. Haven't used the pool, but you can see from the pictures and certainly when you arrive this isn't a resort style pool; it's a small casual pool, visible from the parking lot would be my only hesitation. I haven't experienced anything from my last visit to this one to not give it 4/5 stars; last time would have been 4 (maybe a 3) due to the beds (staff was ok, but not rude by any means). read more

After spending the past 7 days at the Boca Raton Marriott at Boca Center, I can confidently give a 5-star review. Mert and Tony are the most incredible people, and have gone above and beyond in the service they've provided me. This review could not possibly be 5 stars without them. They truly made the experience and I cannot emphasize their value enough. They are welcoming, kind, genuine, hard working, and a listening ear. After a long day at the office, I looked forward to seeing them at Sonrisa/Drift. They are not just service workers, they are business people bringing in real profit; their expertise kept me coming back and I even got my friends to come with me one night to meet these 2 superstars I've been raving about. We are Marriott Bonvoy members and appreciate the welcoming attitude of all the Marriott staff. While not luxury, the hotel provided a very clean and comfortable environment. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were very soft. The shower was a particular standout for me. Again, while not the most luxurious shower, it was one of the easiest and most efficient showers to use. . No high tech confusion about which tap to turn and how to regulate the temperature-- this was a simple turn of the handle to start the overhead rain shower and a simple pull of the main knob to activate the handheld shower. The temperature increased as you rotated the handle. The floor of the shower was nonskid and there were handles and bars strategically placed to ensure safety. The 'This works' line of shampoos and shower gel were delightfully fragrant and enhanced the shower experience. Apart from that very practical observation we enjoyed our breakfasts very much. We ordered à la carts and found everything delicious. The coffee served in a thermal pitcher was perfect for me as I like my coffee very hot and this allowed me to pour a small amount and then add more hot as needed. The orange juice which was said not to be freshly squeezed tasted absolutely like freshly squeezed. Neil and Amy were accommodating and friendly servers. We also used the fitness room and found the Mattix machines to be excellent-- very smooth and easy to adjust. We ate dinners just outside the rear doors of the Marriott in the pedestrian mall. The food here was all delicious-- from Vines 65, to Rocco's Tacos to Tap42!! This was an easy base from which we could explore our search for buying a property in downtown Boca. One of the greatest hotels I have stayed in lately. The customer service was beyond excellent (I'm mostly talking about lounge and the cafeteria), the room was very clean and everything was working as it should be. The housekeeping services were also great, everyone was just really friendly and we felt welcomed. I have to add, I was positively surprised about the lounge service both for breakfast and 5pm - 7:30pm service. Such an excellent variety of appetizers, everything was so clean and the plates were always filled up. They also had fresh Starbucks coffee 24/7 at the lounge, including plant based "milk" in the fridge that I haven't seen in many places in the US. Always snacks, sodas, water available.. The view from our room was beautiful, and the hotel and very quiet, no worries about the noise from hallway or street. The only minus - we had problem with our A/C, it smelled like burn so we kept it off. read more

I've been here numerous times and this has been my go-to Marriott in the Boca area, that has changed. My wife and I stayed here while helping our son move for college this past weekend. Check in was easy and super friendly. The staff is wonderful however, as we arrived at our final floor things began to change. There was a room service tray of used dishes on the floor next to a room and a towel a few rooms further. I'll get back to that. We entered our room and it was warm and humid. We adjusted the thermostat for a cooler temperature: 60 to see if cold air would flow. It did not. We let it run for a while and nothing changed with that temperature or humidity. So, we called the front desk and asked for another room since it was after midnight and we knew there would be no technicians to work on it. We were told a gentleman would bring us keys for another room immediately. Many minutes later he had not arrived. We grabbed our gear and headed to the elevator. We called on the house phone to the front desk to see what was happening. Finally the gentleman arrived and apologized for being late. Said he ran by our new room to make sure the air Cindy was good. Off we go to another floor and another room. Turns out this room is marginally cooler and less humid but still not as comfortable as you'd expect. We adjusted the thermostat for cooler and things got slightly better. Not like we keep it at home (73) but it was better than the previous room. Next morning the tray and towel are still on the floor. Really, this is like 8 hours later. Why was there no pickup of such things? Generally the place felt less taken care of, less on top of their game, and not what I've come to expect from Marriott. I don't like to leave all negative info so the highlight was Sunday morning. We were beat from moving our son so late Saturday night we put out the room service hang tag. Happily our breakfast was exactly on time and delicious. We were shocked considering how things had gone to this point. If you decide to go there, it is a Marriott, so it has that going for it. Otherwise I'm sure I won't be back, there are options in the area. read more

This is not a full service Marriott level quality hotel--- and due to my titanium status I was "upgraded to a suite" that is more disgusting than probably a regular room. The furniture quality resembles that of a frat house. The M lounge located on the first floor did not have any snacks for the daytime only sodas which I guess is par for the course these days. The pool is rather small and condensed, and the photos on the website are very deceiving. This is definitely not worth the price. read more

Not what it used to be. At least at this specific location. Sad It has been raining a lot this week while in Boca Raton. I asked for an Umbrella. I was told from the relatively taller heavier Front Desk Manager that they no longer give them because too many were stolen. Shaking my head disappointed, I said really? I said with that sort of company decision what happens if too many towels are stolen? I felt this particular Marriott gave a very lazy excuse, all they actually needed to do if they were really so concerned was to have customer's sign in with the item when borrowing and letting them know that if not returned there will be a given charge $$ ! LAZY excuse! By the way many Cruises do just that, asking for a name or signature when borrowing an umbrella. SERVICE is what they are selling! If not there will a Air BNB! By the way, I tried to explain that the Umbrella has a valuable Ad helping to Sell there Company and strengthen there loyalty because every MARRIOTT Umbrella had a large Sign on the umbrella for all to see showing MARRIOTT on the umbrella! Not Smart, Not charming service, just a lot of worthless lip service. You don't need to go to the Wharton School of Business or Harvard to understand this. I personally am what is called a MARRIOTT Bonvoy Titanium Level customer. In essence a Titanium customer spends a lot for there company who gives a strong loyalty to MARRIOTT, at least.. in the past. The manager gave me a nasty feel when I explained why it was a mistake. Advertising is funny that way, a good positive Ad brings In LOYALTY, bad service can destroy the loyalty that took decades to create & strengthen... Guess how many positive compliments I will be giving to this specific Boca Raton hotel in the near future? Sony once was the best, Kodak also, Walmart & Target now very concerned about Amazon. Do not stay here. I am currently here and the hotel has "full on"construction. The employees at the check in desk do not let you know about the noise from 7:45 until 5PM. When I called to complain, the manager said that they have signs posted in the lobby that the hotel is under construction. I was not looking for it and unfortunately did not see it. The manager than went on and said that she would not "penalize me" if I decided to leave. It's now 5:15pm and they are still drilling. Manager obviously has a serious problem telling the truth. She told me the construction stops at 5pm. You have been warned DO NOT STAY HERE!!! UPDATE The construction did not stop until 5:45. I did mention that the manager told me it stops at 5pm. She also told me that the start time is 9am, it's really 7:45am. As I said she has a problem telling the truth Lastly the elevator is filthy from construction debris after the workers leave and they don't clean the elevator for a few hours. Marriott has no issue stealing your money and threatening you that they will not impose any penalties for leaving early. Fortunately my credit card company will deny their payment once the charge goes through and I will never come back here or to another Marriott Hotel. We stayed at the hotel for business purpose but were so glad to enjoy such a nicely appointed hotel. The staff was fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The room and every part of the hotel we visited was clean and well maintained. The check in process was smooth and quick. We had an issue with the bathroom sink faucet that we noticed and it was fixed immediately while we went for dinner. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet looked amazing although we had to leave too early to enjoy it. There were so many nice shops and good restaurants surrounding the hotel that it was a fun to walk the area in the evening. We will be going back for pleasure next time! read more

I had a really stressful night after the Hilton in Miami Downtown did not hold proper communication about my initial reservation (which they ended up charging me anyways-the worst hotel ever). Anyways, we began the drive back to Orlando at 4 am, but desperately wanted to get some shut eye. Called around Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton and they were all full or no longer taking bookings. Finally, called this Marriot and they had availability. FELIX was an angel and one of the best front desk personnel I have ever encountered so far. He allowed us to stay in the exclusive lounge while we waited to book our room at 5 AM to have the stay for one night instead of charging for two nights. He was extremely thoughtful, as I was ready to pay for the two nights even though one night was pretty much over. I hope upper management and corporate recognize that his actions are what drives customers to be loyal. Going forward-I am exclusively booking with Marriot and any related hotels associated with Marriott Bonvoy. This hotel is extremely clean, properly well kept, and had great customer service. Bed was comfortable. Definitely will stay here in the future and would 10000% recommend the stay. read more

We went here for a staycation to celebrate my sons's 11th birthday! I thought maybe just maybe they would've had a card or a chocolate in the room for him- but no. In any event, we had a nice room on the concierge floor. We loved our view- we could practically see Miami from our window! We had access to the special lounge since we were on a concierge floor so that was nice- water, coffee, nuts, bananas and nice relaxing chairs. I liked that we were able to go to hibachi just a stone's throw and walk across the street for bowling! Didn't have to move our car once! read more

We are currently staying at this hotel and are very disappointed. The photos online are very deceptive. While the lobby is somewhat updated, it stops there. The rooms are so old and feel dirty. Half the lights in the hallways are out making it feel like a seedy motel/prison with the textured walls and overly large prison like latches on the doors. The doors do not naturally shut which is a huge safety concern considering we have a room for us and one for our kids - they placed our kids on a different floor from us so having the doors not shutting properly is frightening. The bathtub in our kids room was broken and the phone to call the front desk didn't work so we couldn't get our daughter ready for dinner - their room also smells like mold. The pool is small and literally in the parking lot, again making it feel like a street side motel, there is no poolside dining or bar and you are required to sign a waiver saying that you won't bring alcohol to the pool. We had to wait a full hour after "guaranteed" check in before our room was ready. There are signs saying "renovations are coming" but they don't mention that they are currently renovating, we've heard drilling and hammering directly above us all morning starting around 7ish. We plan to spend as little time here as possible. The positives are the location, the bar staff is extremely friendly, the lobby is decent and the on site restaurant looks incredible. I'd suggest waiting until renovations are completed. We've stayed at Marriotts all over for 20 plus years and this is honestly one of, if not the worst one we've been at. read more

The hotel front desk staff are nice, Tammy in the restaurant really hustles and works hard. It's clean overall. The pool area is nice, especially for a hotel not right on the beach. Excellent chairs, they keep the towels stocked. It does get cluttered, they could clean it up a bit more frequently. Breakfast is good and generous but 90% of the items are pre-made. And drenched in oil. The French toast is pre-made, the oatmeal. So customize it if you want fresh, get the French toast w wheat bread or get a custom omelet. The rooms - are nice, but they don't have (or don't give) a real suite upgrade. And the rooms are VERY difficult to work in. There's one shelf under the TV with a chair, so it's only 18 in wide, hard to work on. For zoom mtgs you have to be creative to position the laptop so the camera doesn't pick up the bed. The Boca Marriott has a lot going for it for the casual traveler and very few negatives. First of all the location really can't be beat. It's safe, close to I-95 and next to a TON of restaurants and a huge mall. You are also 15 min away from the ocean and 15 min away from the Florida turnpike. For an overnight guest without many requests service was great. Polite and quick check in and check out. The housekeepers saying hello to you in the hallways and the room is perfectly clean. The room layout is slightly dated but it has a modern interactive TV, updated fixtures, etc. The big negative I've noticed on both of my stays is the walls and door don't do a good job of insulating noise. I've had noisy neighbors keep me up past 1am on both of my stays. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Self parking is plentiful, free and safe! read more

Let me start by saying, clearly the hotel is a bit understaffed. Which - given the times is to be expected. Considering that - the staff seem to all be going above and beyond to ensure service doesn't suffer. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, at one point the gym was out of wipes and water and they very quickly and apologetically got that rectified. Also, the hotel wasn't as clean as a full-service Marriott would typically be but I saw people cleaning all the time - I imagine they probably just can't keep up. The lounge is temporarily being used as a breakfast restaurant, and there is only one server. I ate there two mornings during my 5-day stay and each time had a woman server who was working extremely hard to get to everyone and make sure no one had to wait too long. In terms of amenities - the pool area is surprisingly nice given that it's in a parking lot (the high fences and landscaping make it almost that you don't know you're in a parking lot). The gym only has an entrance from outside, but it's pretty large, has lots of cardio machines (which were busy throughout my stay), free weights, a universal cable machine, only one bench, mats, medicine balls, foam rollers, and I seem to remember a stability ball or two. You can tell this hotel has old bones as there are lots of signs of wear and tear (for example the room doors are all scratched/chipped/make you think you're walking into a disaster). But they've clearly at least tried to update the rooms. I'd give the rooms 3/5 for "updated-ness" BUT I will say my room had floor to ceiling windows facing south-east and it was amazing in the morning. Very standard otherwise & certainly nothing to write home about. The location is the main reason my colleagues and I will probably return. There are a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and even more within a very short driving distance. Considering this is a full-service Marriott - I'd probably have leaned to giving it 3 stars but the staff caring so much and being so friendly + the fact that it's a pandemic makes me bump it to 4. read more

Nicest hotel in Boca that I've stayed at, but even that's below great. My favorites are at nearby Delray Beach (Marriott, Hyatt Place). The rooms were spacious, but felt 10 years old and in need of a makeover. They also have a nice looking bar and restaurant -- if that's your thing. Outdoor pool was being redone so it was closed. The location and service make this hotel. Centrally located at the Boca Center with restaurants and some shops at the doorsteps. Service is very nice, competent, and helpful. read more

I have had to travel to Boca Raton 5-6 times annually for the past 10 years to visit my elderly parents. My home away from home has been the Marriott at Boca Center. I make my airline reservations from NY based on availability of this Marriott. Yes, it is always clean and the beds are perfect. The service is that of a 5 Star hotel even with the change of the manager. My wife and I always feel supremely comfortable here. Getting ready to book again and I want to shout out to some people in particular. Kristen and Reed saved us on our last trip. Florida airports stopped flying to NYC area the day we were supposed to leave. The entire weekend was a mess and our flights were canceled 3 times. Every time I called the hotel, Kristen and Reed calmed me down, and took special care of us. We ended up staying 2 1/2 additional days. Those two were incredible. Also Mike from the bar who always treats us like old friends. Finally there is Marta, the assistant GM who always remembers us and makes certain we are treated like the loyal customers that we are. There are others but I've forgotten their names. Sry. Thank you Marriott at Boca Center for making these necessary trips to take care of my parents so wonderful. I am biased towards Marriott and this is one of the better ones in which I've stayed. The one in Wardman Park (DC) is another good one. Should be noted that I don't stay in the luxury brands, like Ritz. This hotel is very large, very clean, renovated with 50" tvs in rooms. There's a decent restaurant and bar. Service is wonderful. It's location is great. You're a two minute walk from restaurants and shops. I'm staying through Christmas '17 and -as of my second night- everything has been great. It helps to be platinum elite stays, giving you access to the M Club and other freebies and perks. read more
