One of our favourite hotels in Boca. We have stayed here few times. Have to say that last year (2025) experience was much better. Complimentary Prosecco at the check-in from 4pm. Beautiful and clean room. Stunning pool with amazing warm water. Next time in 2026 our room unfortunately was smelling too much of chemicals and the carpet was a bit wet. We arrived very late with lots of luggage, and were too tired to change the room. Our mistake.. because the next morning our son had bad allergies - stuffy nose, teary eyes and constant sneezing and coughing. Thankfully we only stayed there one night and by the end of next day his allergies were gone. So lesson learned - do not stay in the room that smells odd (my son said room smells like urine. Not sure, maybe thats why the carpet was wet as they tried washing it right before). However, the front desk was very understanding and sent someone to inspect the room and place a fan in the room when we were gone. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, with precautions, of course. read more

To preface, my complaints are mainly with the poolside bartenders, kitchen staff, and servers. I know the food menu is supplied by Meat Market, so if the staff is also from Meat Market, please let me know so I can update my review properly to reflect the correct business. Came here over the weekend to celebrate a birthday party, and the service was terrible. At first I wanted to overlook a few mistakes, but so many mistakes and inconveniences happened that the service can only be described as sloppy. My friend rented a poolside cabana and got a room for her daughter's birthday, so you'd think the hotel staff would be somewhat trying to put forward good service: but wrong. We stayed for hours by the pool and ordered food and drinks all day from pool bar. The amount of mistakes were immeasurable, but to keep it brief: we were given wrong food items, missing food items, missing drinks, wrong drinks, missing takeout boxes (because it rained), trays were promised to bring certain items that never appeared after 50 minutes of waiting (so those food items were delayed), kept waiting long because our bartender kept talking to her friends that visited her instead of being attentive, dealt with bill mistakes, and were charged to the completely wrong card. Majority of the staff that served us and took orders are all in their early 20s, so I don't know if it's the age that caused these issues or if the staff simply didn't want to be accommodating because we were basically the only ones there that day, but it is very unprofessional, especially because 20% gratuity is automatically included. A little more awareness and attentiveness from the staff can do wonders here. read more

I am back and forth between a four and three star here. The facility does smell modern, and it appears modern. I did not have the time to spend in it, but the pool area appeared like a resort style pool. The room was spacious and modern with plenty of power plugs. What I did not appreciate was that there was no acknowledgement for my loyalty to Marriott. Typically, I am told about Executive Lounge (IF they have one) and told about the amenities that the hotel offers. However, this also was not the case. I had to look on the website to figure out about the Executive Lounge, and call to find out specifically where it is at. The Executive Lounge, had the traditional breakfast offering. What did turn me completely off was when I went over to the ham that was rolled, I could see a green item on it. To me, this green item I saw was mold. The hotel is beautiful. The pool was relaxing, but we baked in the sun, due to no shade over the pool. Also, pool space was limited on Sunday, which was an inconvenience to guests. The bathroom was overdue for remodeling, but the bed was comfortable, and the AC unit kept the room cool. I was grateful to have a refrigerator in the room. I would stay again because the hotel is adjacent to The Meat Market, and local shops. Staff were not friendly, overall. read more

Sunday Funday at Tremble's Fitness Class + Pool Vibes Came out for the Sunday fitness class hosted by Tremble, and it was such a fun experience! The class was a mix of stretch, mat pilates, and cardio (though this time we stuck to the mat -- no cardio), and I loved it. Super engaging, the music was lit, and the energy was just right for a Sunday morning reset. You can even scan their QR code for a free class, which I'm definitely doing next! Afterwards, we chilled by the pool with rosé wine (free if you sign up in advance -- major plus!) and ordered the mezzo platter. It came with hummus, tzatziki, and pesto (not my fave, but that's personal taste), along with olive & cheese toast, and some carrots and peppers. We wished there were more veggies for the dips, but no biggie -- my friend took home the extra hummus. Bonus moment: It happened to be Bid Day for FAU, so we had front-row seats to the celebrations. The new Sigma Nu girls were out having a blast, and the whole place had such a fun, social vibe. A live DJ kept the energy going, we made some new friends, and honestly, the whole day was just glorious. The pool was the highlight. The whole pool courtyard is beautiful. It was a little odd that Meat Market customers were coming in and out with direct view of hotel patrons lounging and swimming. But that's neither here or there. My biggest issue was that the AC couldn't get the room cool enough for us, it could only set to 68 and we woke up through the night absolutely drenched. I had stayed at this hotel plenty of times but not since their renovation? The room I stayed in looked the same as the last time I stayed there so I'm not sure what they have updated?The lobby did look a little different. If your staying here and want to use the pool be prepared, too many people not staying at the hotel are using the pool so you are lucky if you can find a chair to sit in. There was an event going on yesterday which pretty much took over the entire pool area. It supposedly ended at 2 and I went to sit at a chair after a few were empty and was told by one of the Meat Market managers that all the chairs were reserved? Why is the manager at the restaurant telling people staying at the hotel which chairs are reserved? Isn't that what a pool attendant does? Is there not a hotel manager not on duty on a Sunday that should be dealing with that? They had a DJ at the pool which was good but they need to turn it down a notch. I will never stay at this Renaissance again.The pool area is poorly managed by the Meat Market Manager. I'm sorry but he has no right telling guests at the hotel that chairs are reserved, he's part of the restaurant not the pool which should have a hotel manager on site. The hotel needs to have security asking for room keys because they are coming in thru the back entrance, I saw it with my own eyes. It's funny you can't get up to a room with a room key but anyone can get in the pool area and use the pool. Major problem! Think twice before you book this place. read more

The location of the hotel is great! I used the mobile check in and by 12pm on the day of, my room was ready, so early check in was great. The pool was beautiful, the Cuban girl that worked the pool was also very nice and helped with all of our needs. The food at the bar was not so great because it comes to an attached restaurant so not many options, but it was pretty decent. Overall great staycation for my daughter's birthday! read more

I couldn't figure out this hotel and whether it was built intentionally or an after thought, and whether it was for business or pleasure. In either case, the amenities were odd. It sits in the parking lot of a large mall. The main hotel looks and feels like a former shell of a motel and they've added newer or updated buildings around it for meeting and outdoor space. There is no restaurant or food service on site except a 5th floor breakfast area which is identical to a Hampton Inn free breakfast. Grandparents, kids and parents squeezed into a small space fighting for mini muffins, yogurt and the toaster. Or there's a high end steak restaurant (attached but detached) that opens at 5p. The night I stayed there was an event taking up all the parking around hotel (more on that later) but was great people watching with the nice cars and tanned lipo crowd. The cabana bar outside is a basic bar with loud music and hanging TVs. The pool area is nice with tons of seating, couches and cabanas but it's wide open to the public to simply walk in from the parking lot. The main hotel is very basic. Due to my Marriott status, I was given an executive room, which is simply just larger but nothing really special. Parking is free but spaces near hotel are limited, and as mentioned, the night I stayed the restaurant goers took all of them. The overflow is floor 4 or 5 of a parking garage next door. A 10 min walk/drive to the top, back down stairs, across parking lot and back through hotel. It's like parking at a Vegas hotel. Fortunately I wasn't time constrained while here so has the luxury of walking to Starbucks for my morning coffee (hotel doesn't serve until 7a), and then out for all other meals. Price was low but I may consider other options next time. read more

Marriott is always a go-to for us. I rarely ever choose any other brands when booking a stay. This was an impromptu staycation for our anniversary. We literally decided at the last minute to get away to another local city to just enjoy a different scenery for a few days. The online photos were not impressive nor disappointing but I didn't look through them all. In the photos though I did notice that it looked a bit dated but I thought it was intentional like it was the look they were going for...I mean it is a Renaissance so I wasn't expecting a bad experience at all. I was mainly impressed with the pool photos which looked very modern and made me feel the hotel was a modern vintage (if that makes sense). Welp! I was wrong. This hotel is just old. The decor reminds me of Golden Girls with the 1980's wicker fixtures. The rooms are absolutely in severe need of updating. The walls are dirty, the bathroom has mold, and overall, the rooms don't even look like they belong. The halls also have an older look and feel. Our bathroom door could barely open or close. It sticks badly making it a task to get in or out of there. The carpet had stains and the room has an old, kinda musty smell. Unpleasant stay for us and I wasn't happy at all but I was exhausted and dealing with a pinched nerve as well and didn't have the energy to ask for better (if that even exists here). I'm a fan of Ritz Carlton, Renaissance, JW from the Marriott brand but this one feels nowhere near as nice. Also, upon check in, I mentioned it was our anniversary. We stayed with other Marriotts on our anniversary and when we entered our room there was always some sort of sweet acknowledgment. A little note with a plate of chocolates, a small basket of fruit, a cheese plate, and even a mini bottle of Prosecco and a homemade chocolate bar at one of the hotels but this one didn't acknowledge our day at all and the young woman at the front desk even told me so. She said, "oh no...we don't do that here." I know this isn't mandatory but it is a nice touch and made us feel so special and recognized at the other locations. Upon check in at the front desk, they actually did have a Hershey bar for me with my name printed on the label which was cute for sure. The beds...my back felt like a MILLION BUCKS of chiropractic adjustments were going to be needed when I woke up. I really didn't want this review to sound harsh because it seems to be well liked. However, this was my experience and you can see by my photos that my room was not what you'd expect from a quality brand like Marriott. The location is okay. Lots of restaurants nearby, Mizner also not far and Town Center Mall was very close. But truthfully I did feel like most of the buildings in the area were in major need of renovations which I didn't expect of Boca because I used to work here years ago and it was always very nicely maintained as you drove around but it now feels run down. Even Town Center Mall exterior (especially around the parking garage area, just looked beat down. Overall I likely wouldn't stay again though unless it has a major overhaul. DON'T DO IT! Worst stay, room not clean, windows do not open for any fresh air, nightclub LOUD pool DJ and music all day, all night at the pool to 930p Sunday. Homeless people and employees using the concierge level food and snacks. Whatever was in the chafer on fire died twice, nothing edible. It was charred burnt children's food that had been frozen and recooked over and over for several days. We had to call front desk due to DEAFENING LOUD MUSIC, walked out at 920p walked down to cancel our stay, check out and drive home. I'm not one to complain or be very picky, but when one is paying for certain services and when those services are expensive you would expect the very best, right? Well, the complete opposite happened at this hotel..., correction, a motel. I've traveled to various hotels around the globe and this is not a hotel, this is a motel. Everything is completely run down... moldy vents, moldy windows and awnings. I checked in a bit late, around 10PM and it was meek customer service. The woman was quick to get it over with and never explained rates, never verbalized that my room was attached with a package and didn't check me into the correct room. I had paid for a specific package at a room where you could look out at the pool and that was not what I received. If you can see from the picture I added below, the green on the floor is algae build up from lack of maintenance and care. Even after trying to rectify the situation at the front desk I was treated like a baby, as if what I was saying was gibberish and I didn't know what I was talking about. I felt as if I was bothering them to do the job that they're there to do and they basically told me that there was was no such thing as a package when in reality the website explicitly states there's a package to be in a room that looks into the pool and comes with all these other services. I rarely ever rate places one star... but this left me speechless in the most negative way possible. Especially as we're living in a pandemic you would expect the establishment to be extra clean, but this is not the case here. The hot tub doesn't work, the pool is full of grout, the drinks at the pool are basically full of juice and diluted and your charged $32 for absolutely nothing. There's absolutely no upkeep at all. We were expecting something a bit more classy and modern but what we found here was a building that is in desperate need of repairs and updates and a total lack of amenities. The only good thing about our stay was the service from the staff. They are all very nice and welcoming. But the building, the rooms, and the lobby are not good. The room had a strange smell, parts of it were very rusty, and there was just a general layer of dust in the air that left us wanting to get outside for fresh air. Due to the construction, there is not much to do here. So if you're planning to stay on-site, think again. I really wanted to give a better review, because we are loyal Marriott patrons, but other than the staff, there's just not much good that can be said about this place. This hotel checks ALL the boxes for either a work or even a family trip - it's a very convenient location with restaurants in walking distance, easy access to the highway, airports, the beach, shopping, hot tub & pool, a daily happy hour at the bar gazebo from 5-7pm, on-site restaurant, free parking. There's also a complimentary shuttle service if you need to go anywhere within a 3 mile radius. However, when I called to see if a ride was available on a Monday night, I was told there wasn't a bellman available. Not a big deal though - the restaurant turned out to be a 5-minute walk away so a ride wasn't necessary after all. The best part of the nicely decorated lobby was a long wood-cut table with multiple built-in outlets. It was a perfect spot for a working lunch with my fellow coworkers. The on-site restaurant didn't have any outlets so the restaurant attendant was gracious enough to accommodate our group's request to move our lunch to the lobby so we could all charge up our laptops before leaving for a meeting. Somehow I missed taking pix of the pool area but there's a daily happy hour at the gazebo bar if you're craving a pre-dinner cocktail surrounded by palm trees galore. My girlfriend and i stayed there during a bodybuilding competition. The mattress had a three foot hole in it and they wouldn't replace it. I went to the front desk and the person that was working said it would be fixed.We came back from the competition and is was not.The new person at the front desk said there was nothing that could be done and was very unhelpful. I was charged full price for the room. Then i received a email from the manager in charge that i would receive points. Point didnt help me not sleeping for 2 nights.This all took place July 21.O it gets better!! Just this week the hotel charged my girlfriends card for 2 nights.This is an unauthorized charge that she is fighting and the hotel keeps giving her excuses. Needs to talk with accounting but they are not working today. SURE!!! Needless to stay I nor will any of my family every stay at a Marriott property again. read more

We went to the Renaissance Hotel in Boca Raton yesterday for a networking meeting. I think it's the first Network meeting since Covid 19, so it was good to go! My friend and I found the Renaissance Hotel to be very nice the networking was taking place outside in the back, everything was set up nicely there was a bar and a pool which has nothing to do with the networking. there were quite a few people there& was good to see them and my friend and I met a few fun people at the bar, however I think $24 plus a tip for one virgin pina colada and one regular pina colada was a lot of money but whatever, we had a good time at the bar. The only thing I thought that was kind of yucky was that the pool needs to be cleaned or Diamond brighted. However, the whole area in the backyard was very pretty very lush with trees and plants, it was definitely pretty. I of course was not in the rooms so I have no idea what they were like however they were practicing social distancing... the hotel and the networking we're all wearing masks. read more

We chose this hotel because we've stayed at many Renaissance properties and have always enjoyed them and their level of experience. We were dismayed to arrive at this property and find it under renovation. The website only indicated that the restaurant was closed for renovation, but said nothing about the hotel. Our room had clearly not yet been renovated and it was in dire need of an upgrade. There was obvious wear and tear all around on the furnishings and walls. The hallways of the hotel showed their wear as well. There were intermittent power outages while we were there, and in the morning while we were eating breakfast. We needed help to get into the concierge lounge and room as our keys stopped working. I'm not one to rush to post a negative review, I'd rather give the hotel manager a chance to address any concerns. In this case, the manager was not there when we checked out so I reported our issues through the Marriott app. I got a reply saying that someone from the hotel would get back to me in 3 to 5 business days. No one got back to me. When I reported that by replying back to Customer Service, they apologized that we didn't see the reply from the hotel (we never got one). Then, when they shared the hotel's reply, it was very weak and not apologetic at all. It said: "Thank you for your comments. We will be undergoing the room renovation beginning spring this year and we are excited for the process to begin!" Thank you for your comments??? Not, I'm sorry that we weren't clear on our website that the hotel was being renovated. Did they even read what we wrote to them? It doesn't seem like they did as they didn't address any of the concerns. They're excited for the process to begin? There were people changing wallpaper in the hallways!! We're coming back to the area next week and have already made reservations at another hotel. We won't be back. read more

The staff was very nice. However, with no notice in advance of booking, the hotel started testing its fire alarms at 9am on the first morning of our stay. The deafening tests went off every minute or so and when we asked, front desk said it would go on all day, possibly next day as well. The hotel needs to CLOSE if they are going to run these tests. No one wants to have extremely loud alarms sounding every few minutes when trying to work, rest or lay by the pool. We ended up moving to another hotel that same day, which was an inconvenience and an expense. This was outrageous - to charge your guests full price and then give them this experience. The front desk did allow us to cancel our reservation for the next 2 nights, but this should never have been an issue to begin with. We will not go to this hotel again. Ownership/management needs to think about its guests and close the hotel when they plan to do this. I would not dream of renting a property to someone if the fire alarm were going to be sounding once every few minutes during their stay. When we got to our new hotel, multiple people from Renaissance had already checked in after leaving Renaissance for this issue. No refund or compensation was offered to us for the issue by Renaissance which to me sends a message that the hotel is concerned with collecting payment but not ensuring that guests receive what they reasonable expect - a stay not constantly interrupted by blaring alarms. This is bad business and it's also unfair to the employees who are forced to endure the alarms all day long. read more

This could not have been a worse stay if we even planned it to be that way. We decided to book a weekend staycation in Boca, and she booked two nights at the Renaissance. She mentioned to them that she had a Bonvoy account and they confirmed to her that she was going to be receiving an upgraded room, and when we called to confirm that this was happening, they said that yes, we would be receiving an upgraded room. When we arrived, this was not the case. Our upgraded room, that was being held for us, was given away. When we got to our room, it just looked like it had been redone to look nice, but was in fact very cheap. The bathroom mirrors were supposed to be anti-fog, and they steamed up 3 minutes in to a shower. The toilets looked worse than one in a public bathroom. And had we not checked the fridge, we would have ruined our food, as it seems it was intentionally left unplugged in order to cut down on expenses. First night is over, we leave for our day somewhat late-ish, but not too late. We remove the Do Not Disturb sign from our room, and just in case, I call Housekeeping in order to ensure that they will take care of our room. We come back a few hours later, and nothing. I called the front desk, and I spoke to the concierge (his name was Arda), advised him of our situation, and he mentioned that they would go tend to it immediately. We leave for another few hours, and nothing had been taken care of when we returned. I was upset, and went down personally to the concierge, and explained that we had called several times throughout the day and nothing was done. The same man (Arda) said he had taken care of it, with an almost defying attitude, and he clearly had not. If it was not for the other person in the front desk, I am sure we would have been dismissed entirely. We leave for about 25 or so minutes to give them a chance to do what they need to do. When we return to our room, we see Arda and a member of the housekeeping staff waiting in front of our door, as if they didn't have access. We literally had to open the door for them. These are the people that are supposed to be running the hotel and making sure everything is in order, and they couldn't even open our room? Nothing was offered to try and mend the situation. Barring the people surrounding my stay, this is quite easily the worst time I have ever had staying in a hotel. These people need a lesson in how to treat people, and I hope this review is a first look at it. read more

This hotel is boutique style,smaller less people. The rear pool is lush and relaxing staff is friendly and very dedicated. It is a corporate stay atmosphere so the gym pool restaurant is usually empty. The hotel is starting to show wear and or use I believe a full pool and Renovation will be starting again 2020. So I would call to verify future construction and status. Over all it was pleasant not new but updated. read more
