What a waste of money and time... Fishy taste and disappointment to its best. I was expecting amazing yummy food after seeing all those good looking milkshake posts on Instagram but what I found in this place is everything but that. To begin with there was no host to direct us to a table, all of the waiters were looking at us and no one reacted as if we weren't there... even the phone was ringing non stop and no one answered...after 3 minutes the host approached and directed us to the table. (There were literally 4 people eating in the restaurant) I ordered the Brazilian stake with sausage (what sausage???) the stake came with a side of "truffle fries" of course there was no truffle taste in there... and wok veggies (no flavor whatsoever) they forgot to bring the sausage... the chimichurri sauce tasted fishy which was a huge disappointment (how bad can you go wrong with a sauce...) the fat from the stake tasted fishy as well... the waiter brought the sausage when I finished my main dish and wasn't even cook in the inside, I didn't eat it. I had hope for the dessert..... no way...the churros taste like plastic and the milkshake is OK.... Not to mention the spoons were dirty with leftovers of chocolate.... que vergüenza.... Nothing really special about this place. We ordered another main dish and the total was $70..... I do not recommend this place for someone looking for a good latin grill.... read more

2/15/18: I've been to "Bocas Grill" (Brickell/Roads location in Miami) twice in one week and I almost don't want to say how amazing this place is because then it'll have a 2-hour wait line like the one in Orlando, ha, ha! Went for lunch the 1st time: ordered a small beef pincho (marinated in deliciousness) with a tasty side salad and fries (for $9.50). This was more than enough for a great lunch. Lunch the 2nd time: had the "Reina Pepiada" arepa (my husband is from Venezuela, and I lived there for a year) and this is, hands down, the BEST "reina" (sorry Arepazo 2 in Doral, yours is great, but the one at Bocas is excellent). The arepa is HUGE, very tasty (with grill marks) and GENEROUS with the filling of chicken mixed with avocado. Then, they make it special by placing extra slices of avocado on top-it doesn't get any better folks. My husband had the "Llanera" arepa-the grilled juicy meat spills out of it. I thought the prices for the arepas were a little on the pricey side until I saw the size and amount of filling-ONE arepa makes for a complete meal. I drank water both times I went, but going to try the drinks next time-the bar looks cozy and well stocked. The food presentation and service (by Franklin) was excellent both times, no complaints there. Outstanding experience! I came with my girlfriend and our server was Yanire, she was very nice and made suggestions on what to eat since she asked if it was our first time here. The food came out very quick, it left us both surprised, and it was sooooo good. Very good quality seafood and steak, also the fries are impeccable. The rest of the staff is also very attentive, after putting down the dessert menu and looking around for Yanire, another employee asked if everything was okay and if I needed to order something. The dessert came out very quick also, and it was delicious. Even after closing out and while writing this review, another employee refilled our water vase--something I actually haven't seen before. The variety of food was a tasty & interesting intro to Peruvian & Venezuelan fusion. Immediately loved the tequenos (fried cheese), arepas biodiversas, and green plantains with shrimp & guasacaca!!!! Our hostess/ waitress, Yanire welcomes ALL of our questions as well as provided a detail orientation into this fusion of delicious options including my new favorite summer adult beverage: Angel Falls, which is comprises of strawberries & cinnamon infused in Santa Teresa 1796 rum for 12 days then married with additional yummies: aperol liquor, pineapple, lime, & lots of fresh mint!!! Last time I was there with friends having lunch I ordered a burger with the lettuce and tomato on the side. everything was fine until I asked to have a to go container for what I didn't finish and I noticed that on the lettecu and tomato there was a BLONDE HAIR in it and the waiter actually asked me if it was mine I said no my hair is clearly black I told him i dont want the food at all and asked if I wanted a fresh one I said no I was clearly disgusted but instead of them listening to me they made me a new one even though I refused and made me end up paying for it I left upset and extremly disappointed not the worst service ever. read more

This is my second time here and I definitely must said that this is the best restaurant in Coral way - Brickell by far. We started with tostones con camarón y guasacaca which is kind of a canapé but with tostones and saluted shrimp. I was in the mood for a steak and to my surprise they got a really good selection. NY, T-bone, skirt, picanha and the AMAZING Rib eye. 36 oz of pure prime flavor! Service was on top and we had the chance to try some of the home made cocktails that are basically result of infused liquor and fruits. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and vide of the Bocas Grill! The food was amazing and filling but above that the service was best in class. Great customer service and very welcoming starting with the valet guy. Server was super nice while explaining to us the menue and answered all of our questions. As a Mexican-American whom never had this amazing kind of latin food, it was great to see pictures on the menue and have a server who had the patience to answer pur questions (btw server mentioned that the menue was recently changed to a better version which I found pretty self explanatory). My family and I had lunch here for the first time. We found out about this place through yelp while we were searching for Latin American food. As soon as we entered, the place looked really nice. The place had great ambiance and a good vibe. We were greeted nicely by the hostess. Our waiter David was wonderful. He was really nice and gave us great service. Raul was extremely kind and welcoming and got us a seat immediately on short notice. Our waitress Mafer was equally as kind in helping us order and explaining the dishes. The food and service were​ amazing. I've been there twice. I recommend the Cesar's​ hamburger, the pizca andina soup, the tostones with lomo saltado, the fried rice, and the parrilla. Everything was terrific. The flavors are a real thing. I really liked how the cooked the meat. Specifically, the hamburger's meat surprised me. It is actual angus beef cut​ into ​little pieces.
