Start off with the good: Great decor and ambiance Service and drinks were on point Meatballs were great Now for the not so good: The "fresh" made pasta (not in house) is very thick and dense. It's of good quality, but so dense that you cannot taste or enjoy the sauce (I had carbonara and my wife had wine sauce and clams). We both ate half the plate and were done. It's a shame, sauce was great, but as a plate, it's not enjoyable. The worst was the "tiramisu". This was the most ridiculous interpretation of tiramisu I have ever come across. It comes in a martini glass. Literally two finger cookies surrounded by mousse. The cookies are so hard that it's impossible to eat with the provided spoon. We tried stabbing at it a bit until we gave up and ate the mousse. Great potential, just need to fine tune until the quality meets the presentation. read more

The food was terrible. The meatball had a strange taste. The calamari had no taste and seemed like mostly fry batter. The pizza was pricey and barely had anything on it. Very dry and overcooked. Chicken Marsala was terrible. Got burnt Brussels sprouts. Very very terrible food. Save your money and go to Olive Garden in Porter or MOD pizza! The servers were very nice. read more

Came here for a little lunch date since we live in Summerwood and heard the food was great here! The portion was generous! We got the frito misto appetizer, coconut lump crab pasta, and the mahi mahi with Brussels sprouts. Honestly, the food was good but the service was only average at best. It could be because we had a table of 20 or so people right after us and the servers had to attend to them all at once. We would probably come back again next time to give the service another time since the atmosphere was nice as we dined outside and the weather was perfect. read more

Additionally, the salads were not fresh and the pasta carbonara lacked flavor and needed salt; and it seemed to have been sitting under warming lights for some time. Came here for dinner around 6p. party of 5! Restaurant had business but they weren't packed yet. Joel was our waiter, he was great! Drinks took a little long - we ordered simple stuff like beer and Prosecco but Joel was tending multiple tables. Here's a run down of our meal experience: -Frito Mixto (Appetizer) - the best part was the Octopus, it was cooked to perfection. The calamari rings were rubbery and no flavor, chef needs to work on that. -Mahi-Mahi with potato fingerlings - and it was delicious! (5 out of 5) -Chicken Piccata with angel hair pasta and it was so-so. (3.5 out of 5). -Friends ordered Arrabbita and Shrimp Scampi and both were very good (5 out of 5) Overall we had a great experience and will return to try more dishes! Bocca has always been our go to place for a date night for dinner and drinks for my wife and I. Italian is it's cuisine, while enjoying a fresh batch of lightly battered calamari from the appetizer menu, mind you which was delish, I saw a dish on the menu that aired on Tucci's show about Italy 's long loved dish, a ragu a la bolognese, my goodness, hearty, flavorful, delicious. From my point of view it's a dish that you try to resist to consume completely, but it's addictive. The only disappointing part about is, that I have to purchase another ragu, for lunch the next day. I've had the salmon with pesto and vegetables and it is invigorating with hearty flavors. Fresh pan seared salmon with pesto and vegetables assorted like a ratatouille, I wanted more. Classic chicken piccata with capers and a lemon butter sauce on your favorite noodle, I prefer angel hair. My wife and I had other dishes at bocca and have not been disappointed yet, we'll take photos next time. Cheers. read more

First of all, beautiful restaurant. Love the atmosphere. We got the garlic bread with whipped ricotta, and the Bocca board for appetizers and they were both lovely. My son got a pizza and it was also great. Our pastas were very strange. First of all, both were pretty cold and kind of congealed. The carbonara is definitely not carbonara. I'm OK with that as I'm not a food snob but it was really nothing very much resembling carbonara. My main complaint was that it was barely warm and had been sitting a while. It was obvious that it had had a while because it was pretty congealed in the bowl. My parents pasta, a different one, although I don't remember what the name was, was also pretty cold and congealed. The pasta dishes are quite expensive for what you get.both were almost 30.00. even though they weren't great, on atmosphere alone, I would love to go back, but it is really very pricey for what you get. I think I would probably only go for appetizers and drinks on a move forward. Service was really good. And we had been before several times that service had been terrible. My wife and I just returned from dinner and were terrible disappointed. We ordered 2 bowls of wedding soup to begin. The soup was inedible, salty with grease floating on top. The pork sausage was cooked in the soup which is never done with wedding soup. As a result, the broth was overly spicy which never happens with the authentic recipe. We decided to split the homemade gnocchi in a pesto sauce. The sauce was also terribly over salted and spicy as well. The flavor of the pasta was completely overwhelmed by the sauce and the gnocchi were mushy and over cooked. Two bowls of soup, pasta dish and iced tea with tip totaled $65. This is basically mall food, dressed up in a fancy looking restaurant. I would not recommend this establishment. One star is too good for this place. read more

This was our first visit and we have lived in the area for over 12 years. I know the restaurant is fairly new but a few of our neighbors did not recommend it. I HAVE NO CLUE WHY! They were definitely gatekeeping because this place was wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. We didn't get any drinks but we sat close to the bar and they looked great. The food was in great portions. It is a little pricey but they valued their fresh food. We tried two specials they had at the time. The pizza was the best pizza we had! My daughter had a kid's meal and the portion size was great. I had the crab bisque and it was delish. It had plenty of crab meat but it did have a different flavor. It was more lemon base than creamy. It was still very good. I wouldn't get it again only because I love to try new things. That pizza, however; I would get over and over again. I hope they put it on the menu permanently. My husband got their special bolognese pasta dish. It was meaty, saucy, and the noodles were delicious! Great portions. This place was amazingly tasty! Oh my god! I love Italian food and I guess I was expecting the usual but this place was on a whole other level. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is because the pricing was a little higher than we expected. This is a place I'd go for a special night. We went to celebrate my birthday and had our young children with us, they had the option to order pizza from Lupo Pizzeria. They are connected to them, so that was pretty neat. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, I had their Salmon Piccata, we also had an appetizer for Arancini. Ah-mazinggg!!! The flavors were like WHOAAA! This ain't no Olive Garden! Haha! And $6 for some eh bread and oil with red pepper is outrageous, even with high inflation. I used to love the Alfredo but now it's just ok. And I've tried 3 other menu items and they've been eh. I recently visited Boca Italian Kitchen for dinner and was overall disappointed with the experience. The mussels were really delicious, but unfortunately the brussel sprouts had been burned to a crisp and were inedible. Although there is a full bar at the restaurant, it seems that you can only order cocktails from their list - which was disappointing as I wanted something that wasn't available. The bathrooms were also dirty which made me question how much attention they paid to other aspects of their service as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was aiming for an elegant vibe but ended up feeling more like a cafeteria than anything else - not ideal! Ultimately, I feel like this restaurant is overpriced given the quality of food and services provided, so if you're looking for great Italian cuisine without breaking your budget then there are plenty of better options out there. Additionally, the chef didn't seem to be very open to hearing any complaints. This was extremely disappointing as good customer service should always be a priority no matter what kind of establishment you are running. 1/5 stars read more
