I stumbled upon the winery part after friends told me to try Boccalis food. I liked the winery part much better. The lady working the wine booth was so friendly and inviting. She recommended the wine flight. I thought I would try it. I didn't love the wine selection. I like more white wines anyway and the flight consisted of a lot of reds. I also wanted something to snack on while drinking the wine. She said they have a charcuterie board. I actually really liked the little charcuterie boards and the contents. The cheeses were delicious! I love the rustic vibe of the seating area. It was really cute and had a beautiful ambiance with the farmland and big oak trees.

I absolutely loved this wine tasting experience. It is $19 per person and you can share the tasting as well with another person. We shared one and it was perfect to go alongside with our meal. The lady serving wine has amazing service and is very friendly. However, on very busy days I wonder if it is just her. I also am unsure of this but they have different wine bottle pricing on their wine tasting sample list vs their dining menu. Great experience with just the perfect amount of wine to savor it!

The food was so good. The bruschetta was some of the best I've had pair with an equally as delicious focaccia. I would also highly recommend their mushrooms. I had the lasagna as my main, super cheesy(amazing) certainly enough for 2 meals especially if you start with some appetizers. We also had the apple cobbler, I'm not a huge fan of apple pie since it tends to be overly sweet but not here. Perfectly sweet and tart. I will be returning!

I feel really bad for the super kind woman in charge of the tasting, she needs more help! The quality of wine, however, compared to other wineries in the area (for the tasting) seemed subpar. We were also left waiting a long time for food at the restaurant next door, which we were directed to on a busy day. I'd like to comeback when it's not "pumpkin patch season" when it's less hectic

Wine is delicious, outdoor seating is relaxing, and the server with the yo-yo tricks is super friendly.

If you know me, then you already know... this is my happy place…read more I don't even know where to begin because this place has become so much more than a tasting room to me. Majestic Oak is my happy place. Seriously. The second I walk downstairs, I instantly relax. I don't know what it is... maybe it's the red umbrellas, the beautiful greenery, the cozy little patio, or just the overall atmosphere. I close my eyes for a second, take a deep breath, and it honestly feels like I've escaped into my own little world. I come here about once a month, and there's a reason I became a wine club member. Yes, the location is absolutely beautiful, but let's talk about the wine... every. single. one. has been amazing. I'm usually more of a red wine girl, but even their whites have surprised me. They're crisp, refreshing, and just plain delicious. I honestly haven't had a wine here that I didn't love. But what really keeps me coming back is the people. Rita deserves the biggest shout-out. It's not just that she takes amazing care of us every time we visit. It's her personality. Her knowledge. Her passion for the wines. She makes you feel like you've been friends forever, and somehow every visit feels even more special because she's there. She has this way of making everyone feel welcome, and that kind of hospitality is something you can't teach. For me, Majestic Oak isn't just somewhere to drink wine. It's where I go to slow down, breathe, laugh, and enjoy life for a little while. It has become my home away from home, and I honestly can't imagine a month going by without stopping in. If you're anywhere near Ojai, do yourself a favor and visit. Come for the wine... stay because you'll probably fall in love with everything else too. One last thing... we stopped by today, as usual, and Kristy took such incredible care of us! She was so welcoming, attentive, and made our visit just as memorable. It reminded me that the amazing service here isn't just one person; it's the culture. Every visit leaves us feeling like family, and that's something truly special. (Oh... and if you see Bruce, make sure you say hi! He's the sweetest little furball and just might steal your heart before your first sip of wine. ) Thank you, Majestic Oak, for creating a place that truly feels... Majestic.

They have two great options. They have a four choice wine tasting, which allows you to choose any 4 from the current list of 8. Or, you can indulge in the full monty which is where you get tastings of all wine currently on the menu. They are both very good values when comparing wine tasting rooms. The air conditioning was on, and we were happy. The music, the wine, the vibes and there was a wonderful employee working that day (I'm sorry, it's only been 24 hours and I cannot remember his name) Anyway, the whole experience was great. I would definitely return again.

Great local artwork all around the tasting room and a fun painted upright piano. Our tasting host was very friendly and provided short tid bits of information of each wine. My husband did the $19 four wine pour tasting and I did the $36 Full Monte pouring of their entire eight wine tasting. I enjoyed my first Grüner Veltliner white wine, 2024 Grunay (a hint of sweetness yet still crisp to the tongue and a light body). I also enjoyed their Tempranillo red wine, 2023 Taransay (well balanced medium body, slightly on the drier side but not too much, and had some nice tannins), this is the full glass I ordered after the tasting. I was not a fan of the 2021 Soay (Red Blend of 70% Granache, 15% Petit Verdot and 15% Petit Syrah) - I really wanted to like it as I typically like this blend, however there was a strange aftertaste that reminded me of water that was rinsed in dried rice. From 4PM - 6PM on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a local musician. Today was a singer-songwriter who played both acoustic and electric guitar and was accompanied by a lovely bass guitar player. They performed a few lighter versions of rock music and a handful of originals. Overall, great value and good music.

Compared…read moreto another olive oil tasting we did in Paso Robles, this one felt a bit more fast-casual and relaxed--which honestly wasn't a bad thing at all. It gives you the freedom to taste everything at your own pace. You order the tasting first, then they give you a tray with delicious sourdough bread from a local bakery. The staff explained that the balsamic vinegars are imported, while all of their olive oils are produced in-house, except for the truffle oil since the local soil isn't suitable for growing truffles. After that, you head over to the tasting section where you can grab samplers of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars before finding a seat outside under the olive trees. The space itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were around 10 olive oils and 10 balsamic vinegars to try. My favorites were the TH (Tuscan Herbs) olive oil and the traditional balsamic. The flavored balsamics were interesting and fun to taste, though I still personally preferred the classic options. Overall, such a fun and worthwhile stop if you're in the Ojai area. Paid $20 for two people. Also, bonus points because they happily give extra sourdough bread if you need more :)

I barely recognize this place. What the hell happened?…read more I hadn't been back in years, and maybe that long absence is what made the decline so obvious. I remember coming here for the experience as much as the olive oil and vinegars. The warm welcome, the hospitality, the tasting experience, the opportunity to wander around and talk to people, meet new people and sample things without feeling like you were inconveniencing anyone. We used to happily spend loads of money here because the experience made you want to. This time? Cold. Impersonal. No greeting when we walked in. Tastings reduced to oils and vinegars in tiny plastic cups for purchase. What is this nickel-and-dime hustle/operation you have going? And the portable toilets outside??? What hillbilly ruined this experience? I understand that COVID changed how businesses operated. I really do. But COVID is over, and apparently the customer service decided to stay stuck behind. What disappoints me most is that this place used to have a bit of magic you couldn't manufacture. We loved returning year after year. Now it feels transactional, and that's a shame because the products deserve WAY better than that. After this visit, you can have whatever THAT is. Keep the misery to yourself. The olive oil may still be good. The balsamic vinegars are top tier. (I make soda pop out of them). But the one of a kind experience and hospitality is GONE. Save your money.

Cool winery to check out…read more The staff are older, friendly enough. The red wines are really tasty. I love the private-ish tables. Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.
