One of my new favorite breakfast places in Augusta. The staff is all so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is fantastic. I had the jamón croissant as well as a banana nut bread muffin and thoroughly enjoyed both. The sandwich was excellent and the ham being thin sliced made it that much better. It was hot, the cheese was melted, and the croissant was buttery and flaky..just the way I like it. A bonus would also be that its dog friendly! They have a patio where dogs can come and sit while their owner enjoys a coffee beverage and meal. They even have water bowls available so your pup doesn't get too hot. If you're really feeling loving the counter has doggie donuts you can get as well. (Can you tell I'm a dog lover) Would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere different to enjoy. I saw this place on Yelp & told myself I had to try it! I've been trying to find a place to study besides a mainstream Starbucks and the atmosphere in Bodega is so cool. They close at 2:30 on weekdays but I'll definitely be heading over to chill & study on the weekends when they close later. The menu had a wide variety of tastes ranging from a simple burger to Indian tandoori chicken to Vietnamese style banh mi to mediterranean falafel & hummus! (Yes, salads are available too). This was really exciting to see. I thoroughly enjoyed the pork banh mi sandwich as it had amazing flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to try the coffee which I've heard is amazing. read more

Great location, nice ambiance, and interesting concepts. This might be a better lunch/dinner spot, but we were cruising for breakfast. There is a nice outdoor seating/patio area and the inside has plenty of room at communal tables. The waitress was very casual, and this is not an issue at most joints, but the prices are a little higher here. Our waitress also did not do a great job of giving information about the menu items when we asked questions. There were not a lot of people, but service was not very attentive. At least the food came out quickly. The taste was around mid-range - there was nothing I would go back for at this time. The croissant was baked very well and had great texture, but the flavor was not to my taste. I couldn't tell if it was sourdough or what added in, but I did not like the slightly off flavoring. Everything was served on paper plates, so that was a little strange for this type of eatery as well. My husband wanted to try the cinnamon rolls that are made fresh and only available Saturday and Sunday per the website, and he was underwhelmed. I have drank black coffee before on the keto diet, but let me tell you that this house coffee is strong enough to arm wrestle a Marine Gunnery Sergeant. We may go back because it got good reviews in general (this could've been an off day), but it won't be soon for breakfast items. Bodega was the first restaurant and coffee shop I visited before even moving to Augusta. I was in the area looking for housing and searched on Yelp for good coffee shops in the area. I ended up enjoying breakfast and coffee at Bodega on my first trip and I've been a frequent visitor since. I love everything about Bodega: the ambiance and style, the large outdoor patio, the delicious food, and aromatic coffee. This place is perfect if you can hit it early before the lunch crowd rushes in. I love enjoying coffee and a bagel out on the patio. I've had multiple meetings and friend dates at Bodega - it'll forever be one of my favorite meeting places in the area. I have simple taste when it comes to coffee, but I definitely have high expectations. I've ordered a few lattes at Bodega (which have been great), but I usually go with the drip coffee, which is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Bodega is a little on the pricier side, but they use fresh and local ingredients. I've tried several sandwiches, which have all been packed with flavor. When meeting friends or just wanting to get out of the house to work on stuff, I always hit up Bodega. Definitely a great find here in Augusta! read more

Their a busy brunch spot and for good reason! The menu has great selection and they have a good mimosa option for a bottle and jug of OJ! Those are always my fave. They do serve food with paper products (paper plate and utensils) which some people don't like but it was totally fine for me. Will go again! read more

I'm always looking for new places to grab a cup of coffee or breakfast while getting some work done. This place could be it, but I'm not sure just yet. Bodega Ultima is located in Surrey Center. I have to always make that a point when mentioning businesses located here because if you're not from the area, they're hard to find. The place has a really great feel in the inside. Awesome decor, especially the wall art! I love high top seating and there was plenty. They even had a great outdoor space, which seemed to be popular on a fall morning. I ordered the Cinnamon 16oz. Latte. It was great. It didn't need anything added. And that's just how I like may coffee. I also had a plain bagel with cream cheese, which was filling. The coffee was so good, I got another to-go. The coffee menu was impressive with cold brew, espresso drinks, and regular coffee. The breakfast menu was also nice with bagels, sandwiches, muffins and fresh fruit. I want to try The Ultima breakfast sandwich on my next visit. It has avocado, which I love. Overall, nice experience. I believe they serve lunch as well. What a cool place! The rustic decor is very inviting and just begs for patrons to sit for a little while. Located in Surrey Center, an awesome wooden door greets you at the entrance of Bodega Ultima. The employees are super friendly and open to answer whatever questions you may have. I came here on a Saturday for breakfast and had an expertly made latte and the Basque sandwich. The sandwich was delicious-- it had ricotta cheese, egg omelette, tomato, avocado, and chorizo. There are other options available for breakfast as well as a lunch menu that looked amazing as well. For lunch you can even get beer or spirits as they have a stocked bar. Bodega Ultima has a lot of other things for sale including proprietary olive oil, mugs, Tervis tumblers, etc. It's a great place to eat a nice meal, read a book or to hang out! read more

For a goat yogurt, a salmon BLT, and 2 cups of coffee you will be running around $15.50 The restaurant itself is very well done. A lot of thick woods and heavy metal. It gives a rustic yet pleasant atmosphere to just sit back and enjoy. Honestly you forget this place is part of a strip mall it is done so well. I am not a coffee drinker but let me tell you the "normal" coffee I could definitely drink on a regular basis. Very good. The goat yogurt is something I didn't know even existed. It is super thick almost like cheese but it again is very good. I had the salmon BLT and it had good flavor. I liked the avocado, the tomato, lettuce, and the salmon. All had good flavor. The bagel it was served on is another story. It was heavy and tough. Tough to the point it made the sandwich hard to bite and difficult to chew giving the feel that it was stale even though it wasn't. And that's where the loss of the star comes in, the bagel just isn't good. All in all the people are very attentive and pleasant, the atmosphere is great, the coffee is very good, and they do have some good food offerings, just be leery of the bagels. read more

I called, you answered! Finally Augusta has a modern, hipster, local coffeehouse. Since it's opening, I've already been here several times, and have introduced it to many of my friends! This cafe is perfect for studying, meeting up with a friends, or picking up a drink! This open spot is does get crowded with the lunch crowd -- and has started to offer a few creative sandwiches, soups, and salads. They also have a bar, so you can say yes to that boozy bunch. Most importantly, their coffee is delicious. I'm a daily coffee drinker - and their coffee still works as an eye-opener for me! Highly recommend. read more

I came in here on a Saturday morning after barre and what a pleasant surprise! I had been eyeing this place for a while and waiting for it to open. It is a coffee spot, but more of a traditional cafe. I see they have menu items for afternoon nibbling too. They also have a full bar and sell wine. I ordered a coffee and a breakfast chorizo sandwich. Both were very good and I paid about $11.00 total. The atmosphere is like an industrial old European cafe. A nice hip change for the growing Augusta community. The crowd in here is a mix between a large casual group and some other people who stopped in after their hard workout. The atmosphere is definitely for adults. All the tables in here are bar height and the general atmosphere is just not conducive to children. It is possible that families coming in for brunch can go outside on their patio, but it is clearly a smoking area. The general ambiance I get from this place is to hang out, order drinks, maybe get a bite or two, but the focus is to socialize. The bar height tables have seats of three or more and their long table sits a group of probably 10. So, its definitely about mingling. They ask for your name at the counter and call you by your name when your food is ready. Well into 20 minutes of sitting down and drinking my coffee and eating my sandwich the lady who took my order rememered my name and asked me how my food was. I really appreciate the personal touch. A gentlemen also walked by me and asked me how my food was. I see a few people who already appear to be regulars because the staff asked them how one of the ladies' test went. It is nice to have that local feel to an establishment. The only draw back was my chorizo sandwich had a lot of goodies pouring out of it, but when I was served the sandwich, I was given no fork or napkins. I had to grab some from the bar. Not a big deal. I see other people, who are waiting for their food and have a full napkin silverwear set, so maybe I was a "whoops." The bathrooms are unisex and are unmarked in the back of the cafe, which is a little confusiing because you feel like you are walking into their office. And they do have a mirror, but it is for a giant because no one is going to be able to see themselves in it. Any woman who wanted to see herself is going to have to bring their own mirror---or stool. Overall, I really enjoyed myself so far and everyone seems to be happy! I did ask about military discount, but the lady said they do not provide one. Thhey did give me an espresso rewards card---buy 12 get 1 free, which I will definitely be using. You can't beat that! I will be coming back. read more

I really want to like this place more but it's so crowded and messy on the weekends. The coffee bar pickup area is a bit hectic-they call out your coffee order and sometimes people forget what they ordered or sit down expecting people to serve them their drinks since they have number tags. The decorations are beautiful and the word "rustic" suits it very well. I appreciate the full bar 'cause who doesn't need a Rye Manhattan at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning? I'm not sure what the dinner menu is like since I'm only here when I pass by in the mornings hoping for a really good lox bagel. The lox is usually delightfully thinly sliced and pairs nicely with the everything bagel. I suggest sitting outdoors if you have the opportunity. There are so curtains or shade for the inside so you have to put on sunglasses when the sun hits the windows just so but the outdoor is covered in a brick tunnel which is wonderful to sit underneath during the summer. read more

I have been on the lookout for an amazing coffee shop in Augusta and when I heard about this one I was hopeful. Everyone mentioned how welcoming it was and how delicious the food was. And they were right! I got the Ultima breakfast sandwich and it was so good. Also, while I love coffee shops and am always on the lookout for a cozy one I don't actually love coffee. So I got their hot chocolate and it was so good.The staff was friendly and even noticed my "it is too early to understand anything" face and were so sweet to show me where to find their menus. Pulling into their parking lot I felt like I had somehow left what I imagine Augusta being and stepped into a more upscale area (which was explained when I realized how close I was to the Masters Course!)--I almost lost my nerve to go in. I was bleary eyed and looking for breakfast while my surrounding area was so nice--I didn't even have makeup on! I did go in and I am glad that I did. I've been here a few times in the morning periods, and every time there's something incomplete about their service. If you can tolerate lackluster performance by all the staff minus the kitchen, then this well decorated coffee shop is for you (maybe I should have said shoppe to be more in theme). The coffee and the espresso are smooth and bold; nothing bitter and they come to you at the right temperature. Coffee is always worth the drink option. Service: why are all the menus jammed up together next to the register if there are no wall menus for people to look at when the line is long? And if they're jumbled, they should be jumbled in an organized fashion between drinks and food menu. Who's working here? This is now on the regular rotation of our brunch spots! One thing to know about this place is that they utilize counter service. Once you decide which delish item you want to eat or drink, step up to the counter and order your food. There isn't a sign or anything that I have found that says this policy, but the staff will kindly tell you if they see you grab a table before you order any food. My husband and I both HIGHLY recommend the bagel with lox. Such a large portion and freshness of the salmon, veggies, and even the bagel is sooo good!!! The best part is you will be full for a while but not uncomfortably so. And satisfied?! Oh so satisfied! The chicken trash can wrap is delicious too.
