I used to be a local but moved a couple yrs back. every time I come back OC, I make a stop here. their drinks are usually a good balance between sweet n strong. the employees r hella chill n helpful. the coffee is a little more than I'd usually pay but they have a good reward system so it's fine. it's a cute little place w some natural lighting n vibe. it's also surrounded by some good food so overall im smashing. read more

This is such a calm and relaxing environment. It's so spacious too. Everyone working was so kind and welcoming which really set the tone. I got my husband the Bodhi drip coffee with a butterscotch cold foam and an iced matcha oatmilk latte with sugar free caramel cold foam. The prices are very affordable it was only $11 for both drinks. They have several flavors for the cold foam along with seasonal lattes as well. I had been meaning to try Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders for awhile now, but every time I stopped here for Akafuji, it was right as Bodhi was closing. One opens at 5 pm (Akafuji) and the other closes at 5 pm (Bodhi). A coworker had also suggested another location of Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders as well a few months back, so it was hyped up just a bit. I guess Bodhi closing at 5 pm helps with the parking as there are so many restaurants and businesses in this strip but there is not enough parking. Since they were a few minutes from closing, we opted not to get regular drip coffee, of course, which is a go-to for me to "judge" a coffee shop by the quality of their drip coffee first. Since the weather was on the cooler side, also opted to not to try their cold brew. Latte it was. They have both options, regular and decaf, which helps because a family member who has a caffeine sensitivity. Other patrons after us also ordered flavored cold brew, which was surprising to me, because I do not see flavored nitro cold brews (flavored) and cold brews (flavored) often at coffee shops. The presentation of the coffee and the interior of the coffee shop feels homie but I did not find their latte extraordinary. Maybe I should try a different drink next time, but I found their latte on the lighter side. The espresso was overpowered by the milk, which is a bit odd... Overall, nice baristas and okay parking, depending on the time of the day, and day of the week. The prices were also very affordable compared to other coffee shops. It's not a favorite of mine but I may stop by if I am in the area and in need of coffee. read more

As soon as we walked in we were greeted. Cashier was very attentive and helpful. We decided to order an 'Espresso & Tonic' with brown sugar and two seasonal drinks. All were good. I would reorder the Espresso & Tonic without brown sugar. But my favorite of the three had to be the Strawberry Mocha Matcha. Nice little ambience and study spot for smallish groups or dates or hanging out with friends. I've done all and recommend this place :) A place of improvement could be the restroom. I came in on a Sunday morning when it wasn't too crowded and ordered a lavender latte, which was perfectly crafted and well balanced. Bodhi offers an impressive range of flavorings for latte lovers. My boyfriend and i started coming to Bodhi recently due to our favorite coffee shop closing. It was the closest shop to where we already were and had 4ish stars overall on yelp so we decided to give them a shot. The first 2 times we went we ordered their seasonal "strawberry pistachio shortcake" iced lattes and they were soooo good. The same cashier helped us both times also and he was very patient and friendly, wish I could've gotten his name. I think there's only 2 employees that I can say were actually friendly here, the others seem nonchalant and like they don't give a shit about their jobs lol However, the next 2-3 times we went, things started to decline. My boyfriend always gets an add shot in his drinks and we were charged twice for them and didn't get a drink with an add shot. Like damn are y'all paying attention to the drink orders or not. Two coffees cost us almost $17, and I don't mind paying for that if it's exactly what I want and if it's yummy. I also tip prior to getting my drinks and it's even more disappointing when you pay extra for something you're just okay with. This last time we went, which was today, I decided against tipping beforehand bc of how inconsistent the quality of the drinks had been. I was very glad that I didn't bc our drinks tasted like absolute shit. My boyfriend even wanted to go back to ask for a refund and he's never been the type to do that. We decided not to, but instead are just going to find a new coffee shop to go to. After taking a few sips of my drink i knew it wasn't gonna get any better tasting so I threw it in the trash, where it belonged. 2 stars for a clean and stylish interior. read more

Friendly neighborhood coffee shop with lots of open seating and friendly staff. Came here twice in one week: once with the intention of coming and trying Bodhi and a second time because my family ate at an establishment next door. On our first visit, we had an extremely kind barista that walked us through their somewhat overwhelming menu (all standard coffee shop drinks but a plethora of syrups and flavorings). I enjoy the sugar cookie iced latte that Starbucks has during their holiday season, but have tried the sugar cookie syrup at Bodhi before and found it to be too almond flavored. After seeing another review with someone saying that they liked the Madeline latte, I went with the intention of trying that. I asked the barista id it was almond-y and she said it can be, then recommended that I try it with 2 pumps of vanilla and 2 pumps of Madeline syrup. She also told me that she was willing to remake a drink that I liked if it wasn't to my liking. Unfortunately the Madeleine latte was still too almond-y for me, and the barista quickly made me a new caramel swirl latte (basically a caramel macchiato) free off charge and let me switch out my drink. I really appreciated this as it allowed me to step out of my comfort zone without the extra risk. On my second visit a couple days later I came to get the churro latte that was on the menu since I felt quite overwhelmed. I ordered a large churro latte and the barista let me know that it had four espresso shots in it which extra caffeine is alway fine with me. I then proceeded to pay and wondered why my order total came out to nearly $10 despite my similar order only costing ~$7 days before. When I looked at my receipt I saw that I was charged for a 32 ounce latte, which made more sense. I wasn't necessarily upset, but just confused as most standard large coffees are around 20-24 ounces. I feel like maybe a 32 should be considered an XL? It's also not a size posted on the menu board (12-16-20 oz), but rather a cup display off to the side of the cash register. The latte was pretty standard but the service was quick. Bodhi leaf is not a place that I would be going out of my way to go to, but a place I would definitely stop by if I'm in the same plaza! PRO TIP: make sure that you ask them how many ounces each size is/confirm the ounce-age you're ordering before paying. read more

This coffee shop is off the beaten path, next to an amazing breakfast sandwich spot. This place has everything you would want in a specialty coffee roaster, large spacious seating, big open windows, and a clean view of the beautiful La marzocco front and center. The baristas are knowledgeable and very friendly, and the atmosphere is really good. As for the coffee? Yea it's definitely amazing. I ordered a small hot latte with oatmilk and I can tell they really know what their doing. The drink was espresso foward with a big amount of flavor, subtlety sweet and chocolate tasting. It was so good I ended up buying beans and a second drink for the road. Definitely a place to revisit whenever I'm back in town! read more

First time visiting this location and I actually like the set-up here vs the Katella store. This location is off of Harbor and Imperial-ish which is a very busy road and it can be easy to miss if you're driving fast. I happen to see it on the way to my dentist and made a point to get coffee after my appointment. There's indoor and outdoor seating and it's actually really spacious once inside. I came here around 9:30 and there was hardly any customers inside and outside the store which makes for a great spot to meet up with friends for coffee. Aside from the non-crowd, the coffee is really good and their merch is super dope/stylish! I already have one of their stainless steel mugs from the Katella store, but their latest mugs are super cool as are the sweaters, hats and bags! I tried the seasonal Samoa mocha which tastes like the Girl Scout cookie and substituted with oat milk and it was definitely my favorite coffee drink. I haven't tried their food but it did look good and they had a full menu of sandwiches,pastries, etc. read more

Wow the quality of the coffee is noticeably better than a lot of other mainstream and boutique stores.. May have been influenced from watching the episode of the Profit with Bodhi..but this place is also conveniently located to me so stopped by the day after I watched the show haha. My rose latte was amazing. I got less sweet so I can taste more of the coffee flavor it tastes so smooth but a little nutty which I loved! Caramel twist was a bit too sweet so I'd probably stick to a cold brew or a latte or something just a little more simple so you can really taste these amazing roasted beans. So let me start by saying yes the atmosphere here is great, the place is clean and well organized and my service experiences have been good-excellent every time I've come in. But my biggest issue is the inconsistency of the coffee! My girlfriend and I have been coming here pretty much every Saturday for the last month and the first few visits we couldn't stop talking about how great this coffee is. Soon after it started to decline, I'd ask for an add shot and they wouldn't add it but we'd get charged for it, once our drink was remade and another time the barista said "uhh I'm pretty sure it's this one" and neither of them had an extra shot, but today, today was the single worst cup of coffee I ever had from here which tasted like it had 0 coffee at all and was just foam and watered down syrup, things didn't look mixed and it had a strange after taste like nothing that is supposed to be an ingredient in this drink. It's not like our drinks were rushed we waited 15+ mins for $20 coffee that went into the trash. I contemplated driving back for a refund because I was so disappointed in this cup of coffee. Been here about a dozen times. I've never tried any other Bodhi but this ones close to the house and also next door to eggbred! Prior to eggbred opening, I tried Bodhi's burrito and breakfast sandwich and it was very underwhelming. I could've made it way better at home! Anyway, the drinks are decent; however, the ones I get with milk aren't as good. The milk overpowers the drink (whether it's coffee or tea) and you can't taste the flavor of the main base drink. I've substituted half and half and heavy cream on occasion and it tastes like regular milk. There's no way to tell if it was made correctly since it's not written or printed on the cup. They have boba teas now which I tried a couple times and I feel the boba has improved from the first time I've had it. But the tea flavor is weak. I feel the workers are helpful when ordering and try to accommodate the different requests. I love the ambiance inside and just outside the store. It's quaint but spacious. read more
