OK, I don't live in Charlottesville but if I did I'd be in total carb overload all day from having to satisfy my craving at Bodo's. Very good bagels, boiled, I think. Got an everything bagel with ham, egg and cheese like back home. The bagel was soft, and a bit doughy like it should be. Nicely filled with tasty ham and American cheese at my request as you cannot put fancy cheese on an egg sandwich. The bagel was elegantly topped with just enough salt to make it yummy. Bodo's is one of my faves for quick, cheap breakfast in Cville! The bagels are made fresh daily and come with your choice of cream cheese. Definitely try one of their in-house-made flavored cream cheeses - for savory, I recommend the jalapeño lime (it's not too spicy if you're concerned about that) and for sweet, I recommend the honey pecan which is not overwhelmingly sweet and has chunks of pecan in it. If you're in the mood for a sandwich, I strongly recommend their egg bagels - my favorite is the egg bagel with sausage (you can choose the type of bagel you want and add cheese!) It's sooo good, made fresh, will keep you going for the day, and is probably one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in town (and is only $3.40 which is super reasonable!) read more

Bodo's is the quintessential "local breakfast spot" for Charlottesville. The great thing is that there are numerous locations throughout Albermarle county! Bodo's is known for their delicious breakfast sandwiches and piping hot coffee. They also have great sandwiches for lunch with a mix of meats and cheeses as well. The service was really great. The employees were very polite and friendly. Ambiance was fine as well. It was decently busy the morning I went (9:30/10:00) . The food was absolutely amazing, and I really enjoyed what I got. They have a good list of bagels that match well with the different things you can put on them. The location is pretty nice as well. We were visiting Charlottesville and this bagel place was recommended by my aunt. They have a white selections and their bagels are really great. I ordered a ham egg and cheese with wheat bagel and my wife ordered the bacon egg and cheese. Flavor was just okay. The place was really packed. Service was also very quick. This is a really great place for breakfast and take out for a road trip. He would love to come back and get more. I'm giving four stars as I wish the bagel was more flavorful. read more

Nothing beats these fresh baked bagels. With Covid safety procedures in place, they had a double lane drive-thru. Although the line was long I was able to get through the line in no time at all. Maybe you're visiting NoVA but you think you want to go to a brunch spot. MAKE BODOS ONE OF THEM INSTEAD. Ordered like 20 of them for a wedding party morning of the wedding and everything was great. Pre-ordered over the phone for pick up in a few hours. Honestly...the guy on the phone taking down the order definitely sounded like he was pre-occupied and not at all with it LOL we really didn't think he got any of the order correct, but upon pick up and distribution, it was all good. SORRY WE DOUBTED YOU, KIND SIR!!! It was probably just super early and he was exhausted. Despite them getting the order right, our people took the wrong sandwiches, however, due to this error I was able to try the no bull and it WAS DELICIOUS!!! My first time giving this place a try during COVID, where they had a pretty efficient system for taking orders for their drive thru. While line was long at 8:30am on a weekend, it just gets longer from there so I advise going earlier the better. We ordered a few things and got to the window where it was waiting for us. I would say the bagel quality was like a 4.7/5 but my breakfast sandwich was a 4- the eggs were not the tastiest and I wish they put cream cheese on both sides, not just one. We arrived at 7:55 am, they open at 8 am on Sundays. There were already 20+ cars waiting in line for the drive thru. I thought it would take a long time but we had our food and were on our way in about 15 min. They were efficient w 2 separate lines for cars and 2 people walking up to cars in line and taking orders. When we got to the window, our food was ready. Everything was smooth. We had everything bagel with egg, American cheese, and bacon, and coffee. It saddens my heart that I have to leave this review but the customer service from a manager Elisa was unacceptable. I go to this bodo's on Preston at least 2 to 3 times a week. I asked for a water with lemon and she explained to me that the lemon was not free. (which was fine) I walked away to help someone carry a tray to their and came back to see a lady ask the same question, but with Tea. She proceeds to give the lady and her husband bunches of Some else in the line coming down ask for just ice, then water with lemon and did NOT get the same respond as I did. I got my food sat in the parking lot a little confused. Called inside to see what the protocol was as this has never happened before everyone is very friendly. Elisa told me that she was the manager and has been here for 10yrs. " If someone pays for a drink they can have as many lemons as they want. She doesn't have time to TIME to discuss with me what happens with other customers and if some one has given me a FREE lemon they are not following protocol" Woow! I just want the same CUSTOMER SERVICE as everyone else you come in contact with. Delicious! I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with a generous amount of natural peanut butter and my husband got an egg and sausage sandwich. The bagels were so good! Nice and chewy like you'd expect from a NY style bagel yet crunchy on the outside. The line was crazy long on a Saturday around 10am, but it was worth it. Prices are unbelievably reasonable!
