The wife and I stopped in to this lovely little restaurant for a late lunch today and were glad we did. Lisa, our waitress, told us about the daily specials and I had to change my mind about what I was going to eat. I thought I would have my usual gyro sandwich but the halibut wrap in a white sauce with kalmata olives sounded great. So great that my wife ordered the same thing. That almost never happens! And it tasted even better than it sounded. Generous portions of flaky halibut on a soft warm pita was just great. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu. Maybe I'll have a gyro next time! Amazing! Best service and food that I've experienced in Venice. From the start of the evening our large group was treated like queens. This restaurant is a gem in Venice! The food never fails to delight. I could make a whole meal out of the various dips--try the pistachio bomb if they are offering it! Our waiter, Tansel, gave us spot on recommendations. Everything was a hit from appetizers to dessert. I would like to acknowledge the kindness and respect Tansel showed my elderly father. He was extremely patient and kind and went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. I will be sure to return to Bodrum and bring more family members every time I am in town. read more

We met with friends at this adorable small restaurant. There is outside seating under cover. sort of a small arcade We were offered a fixed price menu which was beautiful and nicely priced. However we opted to go directly to entrees. I had the fish of the day (halibut) prepared with a beautiful creamy olive, caper and fresh tomato sauce. I enjoyed every bite! Hubby had beef Kosta, which he pronounced 'melt in your mouth". Our friends had the gyros platter and the mixed grill. Beautifully prepared and generously portioned. All plates came with rice and a beautiful vegetable salad. Lovely. Shared, chocolate lava cake and Greek rice pudding ended a very nice meal. read more

Went here looking for some yummy hummus and a salad to go along with it and they did not disappoint! I had hummus with cucumber slices as I am GF, and the hummus was wonderful. Perfectly creamy and not overly oily. I ordered the chef salad and they made a dressing for me which did not contain dairy and it was tasty. Light and a large bowl filled with lots of veggies. SO SO GOOD. My favorite place in Venice. Everything was amazing. Their pistachio bomb appetizer was packed with flavor...I almost licked the plate clean. It was "Roasted Pistachios, Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Labneh (Turkish Yogurt), spices served with warm pita bread." The Tavuk Shish was packed with flavor, the perfect portion size, and the rice was some of the best I've had - I think it was mixed with butter. Excellent food and superior service with reasonable prices - our favorite go-to spot in Venice. Their Salmon and Lamb are consistently outstanding and the wait staff is the best in Venice. Elisabeth (Lisa) is the friendliest and most attentive server you could ask for. It's a pretty little restaurant tucked in the back of Burgandy Square off Miami Ave. with fine food & friendly people - hard to beat. Food was excellent! Second time I've been there. 1st time was 2 or 3 years ago. Cute location in a covered alley between two buildings. On the Island in downtown Venice. Only thing that could have been better was if the waitress had asked us if we wanted our ice teas refilled. She did come by several times to ask if there was anything else we needed. This is the best restaurant in the area. The food is always a delight. I had the wild caught Halibut which came with a white sauce and various Mediterranean herbs and spices. Before the meal we had the Pistachio Bom appetizer which is to die for. It comes with warm pita bread. Service is impeccable. Our server was attentive and kept the water glasses full and brought more wine when needed. Stopped in on a whim as my family and I were undecided on where to go for dinner. This place came up on maps so decided to give it a try. Atmosphere was decent, they do have outdoor seating which is under a covered walkthrough. This would have been fine however there were several flies throughout the meal. Good menu with unique Turkish flair. Food was very tasty, but the price was very high. What made it worse was the portion size being barely enough to even be full after having dinner, to the point I considered having to stop for fast food afterward just to make up the difference . So I think I found my new favorite Turkish and Greek food mediterranean restaurant. I had the lovely opportunity to dine in this restaurant with my husband and baby. The food was delicious. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meal. My husband had the lamb platter and I had the chicken. The staff was lovely! Our server was Deniz and he was a very sweet gentleman! The bus boys were also lovely too! Two bus boys took care of us and they were wonderful with how they cleared the table and refilled our drink. Deniz checked up on us and made sure we were happy with our meal. The restaurant decor was something that I found myself liking a lot, I love how it gave the feeling that you were near the sea. :) I would definitely come again, and to the owner. Your staff was wonderful, I hope I continue to get the same treatment in my next visit. Will be telling others about this restaurant. Some of the best food we've had in a long while. Service was impeccable and the ambiance very comfortable. We started with fried calamari, a cold roasted eggplant, onions and peppers dish and a night's special spread with yogurt, garlic, pistachios, roasted peppers and olive oil with pita bread that was heavenly. For main course we had the halibut catch of the day in a tasty cream and capers sauce, a thinly sliced lamb over pita bread that was baked in butter with a butter tomato sauce I could not get enough of, a combo dinner of beef, lamb chops, and kafke with white rice and salad and a sirloin tips dinner. All 6 in our party loved their meals. We finished it off with baklava for desert that was exquisite. This meal a definitely worth a try and it will become a favorite! read more

We didn't really know what to expect but we decided to do a Turkish Christmas dinner. They were one of the few establishments open on Christmas Day. And we were not disappointed! The staff was great. But the food including my halibut special in caper and calmata olive sauce and my wife's salmon was terrific. The appetizer as a special is the day - a mixture of yogurt, chopped tomato, dill and other spices with a sprinkling of pistachios was the star of the evening. We were looking forward to having dinner at Bodrum but unfortunately we finally left without eating. We were the only ones at the hostess station when we arrived but the poor woman had no idea how to do her job. We had a reservation and our table was ready but she was too busy to seat us! Then it took forever to get 3 waters for 4 people, it took forever for our waiter to shamble up and ask for our drink order while he looked around the room. We heard the next table ask what was taking so long with their food so we asked if there was a back-up in the kitchen. He didn't know, he sent the manager over. The manager was very nice and offered to make things right but there were just too many things wrong with the service to risk staying. Really disappointing, we've heard the food is good and when we called, they answered promptly and were polite and helpful. It's a very nice space, nice ambiance - so very promising but the service just fell short. read more

I was really looking forward to trying Bodrum Restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. When my girlfriend and I walked in, an older man with grey hair just stared at us. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When we asked for a table for two, he seemed genuinely surprised that we were there to eat, which was...odd. Our server, Lisa, wasn't particularly friendly and seemed a bit distracted. I had to repeat my order three times--and keep in mind, we only ordered two appetizers each. When the food finally arrived, they only brought one set of silverware for the two of us. We asked for another set, but it took her about 5-10 minutes to come back over. We also couldn't help but notice that older couples were being treated with more attention and courtesy, which felt unprofessional and honestly a bit unfair. As for the food--it was extremely bland. I'm from Dearborn, Michigan, where we're lucky to have incredible, authentic Mediterranean food. This didn't even come close. Everything tasted watered down and lacked the bold, fresh flavors you'd expect from this cuisine. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you're used to genuine Mediterranean flavor and service that makes you feel welcome. read more

Food was delightful! I highly recommend the pistachio bomb- it had a nice blend of seasoning and crunchy pistachio bits. My husband and I shared the Greek gyro platter which was more than enough food for the both of us. The lamb was seasoned well and not salty like most lamb tend to be. We were absolutely blown away by this establishment. The food was EXCELLENT. I had lollipop lamb chops, my partner had chicken. Nicely cooked. Great use of spices. Served hot with rice and salad. You MUST try the Pistachio Bomb as a hot appitizer. The tastes were great with pistachio and yogurt and all kinds of surprises. The wine list was very good. We choose a bottle of Malbec and it was spot on good. The service was AWESOME. Timely, friendly and helpful. As we usually don't eat large meals, we packed up half of our food and had it the next night. Just a great two nights of food. Will DEFINATELY visit this restaurant again. read more

What a hidden gem! This is our third visit (1takeout, 1 dining outside and this time dining inside). The food is consistently amazing! This time we started with the 3 choice app-we picked babaganush, hummus and tzatziki, which is served with the BEST homemade pita bread! Also had a serving of the 5 dolmades (grape leaves stuffed with rice)-perfect for our table of 5 and equally delicious. I could have been happy trying every single app, but we moved on to gyros almost all around, a Bodrum for hubby (beef gyro with great spices) and Shepard Salad (Mediterranean style with excellent spices).
