I understand that medical offices have billing policies, but patients deserve to know upfront if a treatment may require multiple sessions and that each one will come with another significant charge. I also would have appreciated some effort to work with me, especially since I was simply following the treatment plan that was discussed at my appointment. Instead, I was left feeling like there was no accommodation or consideration whatsoever. The treatment itself took the PA about 2 minutes. Better communication and transparency about costs would have made a huge difference.
