Hands down the best gym I've ever stepped foot in -- and trust me, I've tried a lot of gyms. Every coach here is incredible, and the programming is always changing, so boredom and plateaus don't stand a chance. Each class has TWO coaches (yes, two!) making sure your form is on point and cheering you on along the way. They use heart rate tracking and zones during class, which somehow makes workouts both more challenging and more fun. Plus... there are medals involved. Gold, silver, or bronze -- it's like adult PE, but way cooler. The community is truly something special: insanely supportive, super friendly, and refreshingly zero drama. Been a member of the Peter's Landing BFT since pre-opening May 2024 and I remain impressed as as it was with my first class. I've been a member of many gyms, fitness groups and group fitness chains. Lots. For a lot of years. But lately I've not been as active as I need to be. I was ready to get back in shape- and to do so without injuring myself. In the past - I'd push myself too far, get I jutted, or feel like I couldn't do the workout as well as everyone else did. For me- this is by far one of the best workouts and the most inclusive group of people I've ever worked out with. From the drop everyone- from the front desk, to the trainers, to all the fellow athletes and fitness peeps- have all been so kind and welcoming. The workouts are challenging and explained very clearly. The trainers spend time helping EVERYONE and the get to know you by name pretty quickly. I've done heart rate monitors before, but they do it in a way that really makes a difference because you see that your exactly where your supposed to be- and are encouraged to rest/focus on your breathing- to stay in the right zone. I am so glad that I signed up with BFT! The studio is super clean, the staff/coaches are all very nice, accommodating, and motivating, and the variety of workouts is great. As someone who gets bored easily, it's nice that the types of workouts change every week, and we're able to use real squat racks and weights. Plus, a cold eucalyptus towel at the end is the icing on the cake. Strength days are just that, maybe 6 exercises with multiple sets, allowing you to move up in weight and focus. I was struggling to get back into a routine and this gym was exactly what I needed. The trainers are super attentive and adjust to your needs. The people are at all stages of fitness and everyone is so welcoming. Ive had some long days where I made myself show up and my spirits were instantly lifted after being greeted by Christian or Kieran at the desk. For the first time in my life, I find myself actually wanting to go to the gym. The location is beautiful and looks out over the harbor and the equipment is pristine. I especially enjoy the technology aspect of it. They have a body scanner on site so you can see the fruits of your labor as time goes on. There are screens that display your heart rate so you know when to push and when to focus on your breathing. The classes change each day and they focus on different body parts for heavy lifting, stretching, cardio etc. I've always hated cardio but the classes vary so much and there are so many different types of machines and exercises it has made it a fun challenge.
