I just had the BEST massage that I have ever had from Minja! From start to finish this was a great experience. I booked the massage online then when I walked in the receptionist was welcoming very friendly. The room was clean, message table was heated, it was quiet and the music was relaxing. I had a deep tissue massage, and boy did she do a great job. She knew what areas to work without me having to tell her. I feel so much better and my muscles don't ache any longer! Update! I've been coming here for the past year, and Mariam still is my go-to person. I love that she is attentive to what I need and specifically addresses those points. For example, today, I made an appointment for the Relaxation with back therapy massage, and I asked her to focus on my shoulders because they were so tight and was causing me to have some bad headaches. She focused on that and my headache went away. Every time I come out to California for work (once a month for a week), I always go and find time to see her. I made an appointment over the phone, got be have a morning mini microdermabrasion appointment. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, the environment was really welcoming. Nice waiting room. Cindy was the women who did my microdermabrasion. She was so nice, and new exactly what I needed. Everything was great. The facial part was soothing, the microdermabrasion part was interesting (never had one, so it felt funny, but not in a bad way at all). After the microdermabrasion, Cindy put a cooling facial mask on, that was great too. I've had a horrible experience at my last spa visit elsewhere... But this place and Cindy was so great and even right now my face is looking/feeling great. I'll be definitely going back to see Cindy again. read more

This was my first time at this massage establishment. My regular masseuse was sick so I looked the up there on Commonwealth in Fullerton. Being my first time Im always a little skeptical. My appointment ended up being with Mariam Elgendy. She was kind from the start she was fine with all my special needs and intricacies. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and insure she was doing everything to make sure she was helping to heal the pain. She gave me a great deep tissue massage I highly recommend this establishment especially Mariam. Ask for her it's worth waiting. I have been to another Bodycentre in Redondo Beach and love the massages that I receive there. I had high expectations when heading to the one in Fullerton. The ladies were kind and punctual. I used the discount advertised on their website and received a cheap massage for even cheaper, which was great. But the massage I feel was worth WAY more than I paid. The lady (her name escapes me now) knew how to work out all the knots and tension in my back and body. This helps me especially being a collegiate athlete for four years. I've come here a few times since my first time back in December 2015 and I have no complaints. I wasn't much of a massage person until I tried this place. Staff is very kind and scheduling is super easy. The place is clean and relaxing. My favorite masseuse is Minja. She really knows what she's doing and talks to you while she's doing the massage, but not too much. Just to ask what areas you'd like her to focus on, which is really awesome. UPDATE: After speaking with the manager from Bodycentre, the final resolution is that I will be provided a full refund. Speaking with management allowed me to get clarity on what happened and what should have happened. I'm pleased to have been provided acknowledgement that the service was sub-par, apology, and resolution with a full refund that I should be getting shortly. I am satisfied with their best effort to fix the issue. As stated before, I've visited this location and the Anaheim location prior and never left unsatisfied so I don't think they're in the business of providing subpar service but when issues do arise it's good to see they take ownership to make things right as best they can. Im still leaving my original review but will update it to 3 stars based on their willingness to correct the matter and assurance that my masseuse will be/has been covered on their process and services so this shouldn't happen again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was so disappointed with my recent visit for the pamper your body package. To start, she didn't introduce herself, once in the room there was no explanation of how the session would run, (order of services). My 'massage' felt like someone was 'play massaging' with me. She was grazing my skin innumerable times throughout the session and I thought maybe it was just a different style and I should be open to different styles and she was maybe getting my body to relax before she got to the traditional long strokes of pressure with the palm or whole hand to actually massage me. There was some parts that I did feel that I was getting massaged, like on my back where I desperately needed it, however most of the time I was left waiting to feel something to alleviate the stress my body has been carrying. Beyond the massage, from my understanding in the advertising of the pamper your body package, it says that a part of the 2hr15min package included a body glow salt scrub as well as a body mud masque and a separate 15min foot massage. I was not provided a body glow salt scrub. A scrub was used on my feet and I believe the foot massage was when she wiped my feet with a cold towel for an extended period of time, but it was no massage. I asked about the body salt scrub while she was cleaning the masque off my body as it felt like it was not going to be done. She said she put a rub on my feet and that is what the salt scrub was. since I didn't have the description while laying on the table to be able to refer to there was nothing more I could really do. There was so much time wasted in my session with grazing of my skin and wiping my feet with a cold wet towel. I was getting up from the table at 2hrs, not at 2hrs15min. I asked while getting ready to pay about the body salt scrub after I read the description again on my phone and on the description on the counter, and she said the scrub is used for the feet, that it's called a body scrub but used for the feet. I paid, reluctantly, because what else could I do. I am not new to massages, I've been to this location years ago and usually go to the Anaheim location as I have never left unsatisfied in the past. I booked this when money is really tight and I desperately needed relief from stress that has begun to affect my body. I can't say I will not return, but if I do I will make sure to request someone different or go only to the Anaheim location. She was nice but if I'm paying for a service I definitely do expect to get what I'm paying for. read more

This week I had been experiencing a lot of upper body pain: shoulders, shoulder blades, neck & arms. I wanted to book w Kim since she did such an amazing job last time I went but unfortunately she was booked the night I wanted to go in. I contemplated waiting 3 days to book w Kim but I just couldn't I was in too much pain to wait. I bit the bullet and booked with Evelyn and hoped she was just as good as Kim. At the start of the massage she asked me what areas I needed her to focus on and then she went to work. At first she started w deep pressure which is what I booked her first but my muscles were very sore and began to tense up. She ten reduced the pressure to loosen my muscles first which was great. She worked my shoulder area for a long time and would go down to the middle of my back. My left side was much more tense than my right. She patiently just rubbed it down until loosened. I had a great experience w Evelyn and I highly recommend her. I'm glad I know have to ladies that I like and when one isn't available I can book the other. This morning I feel sore but that's expected. I was in really bad shape when I went in last night. I should treat myself once a month and not wait till I'm in such extreme pain. read more

i came here with my boyfriend not too long ago for our anniversary and we got the couples massage which was amazing! i forgot who our masseuses were but they were both fantastic (i've heard great things about all of them) so i think you'll be in good hands with whoever you choose since we got there about 10 min late it did cut into our massage time which was completely our fault they led us to our massage room and left the room so we were able to get undressed and came back a few minutes later the massage started right when they came back i was also a bit sick at the time of this massage and i had a runny nose so being face down didn't help much with that my masseuse was extremely attentive and brought me tissues which i loved overall we had a fantastic time and i would recommend this place to any couple looking for a massage together update: our masseuses were debbieann and chelsea! read more

I will not go back. My back and shoulders hurt the next day from where Marina was going deep in my shoulder blades and shoulders. I got relaxation massage not deep tissue. I was not relaxed at all but figured she was trained and knew what she was doing. The massage itself was just weird. Usually massages are rhythmic and quiet. Her massage was all over the place and her shoes were loud on the floor. It was more like a hand rub massage when she wasnt killing my shoulders. Not to mention I had a ton of oil in my hair. Have had massages before and never had that happen. Not sure what possessed her to rub my scalp with oily hands. I honestly think my 7 years old son gives better massages. I went and got a mani/pedi the same day which the massage chair felt better than the massage I received at the Body Center. Leg and arm massage was also better. VERY disappointed since I am a single mom and was having a ME day. I do not get those very often. Save your money from going here or at least stay away from Marina. These people are greedy and money hungry. I had a gift card where I can take to any place and I specifically read the instructions on the gift card. If it had a set amount on the gift card written, it was to be used only at one given location. But because mine was not like that, i could use it anywhere. These people wanted to take the FULL amount on my gift card when I told them that's not how it worked. And they knew exactly what I was talking about because different cards work different ways. They later told me they only extracted the amount for the massage and I double checked a week later to find that they extracted ALL of the money a WEEK AFTER I've been there. $55 massage deducted when I got there on Friday. Then on Monday $45 (the rest that was on the card) was deducted. These people are a joke and are unprofessional thinking I wouldn't catch that. Not only that but the receptionist has an attitude problem scoffing at you. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO PEOPLE THAT STEAL IT. UNPROFESSIONAL and UNTRUSTWORTHY! I got a 30 minute massage concentrating on the neck shoulder area with Megan. It was great! I had gotten another massage just a day before and felt it wasn't really getting to the heart of the problem, but Megan really worked on that area and I felt great afterwards!
